SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

On a side note I ate a decent sized browie at 230pm and at 10pm could still feel that giddiness inside! (Yessss I said Giddy) :volcano-smiley:

:woohoo: Love those brownies. I can't wait to get all this Carnival cured so I can make another batch. I personally prefer mine with the plant material left in. I think it enhances the flavors.

I believe Ziggy and Shiggity have both tried sous vide processing of buds. I haven't yet, but at some point I'm certain I will. Thanks for the reference. I'll look it up.

"I love over the way the fans embrace the buds when you hang them intact."

i dropped a tear with the quote and picture :Namaste::bravo:

Awww.... So sweet to hear NastyAce. :hugs: Don't know how I left the word "over" in that sentence. Some days my proofreading skill are somewhat more challenged. :laughtwo:

She smells less like grass or hay today.

Good morning everyone

Started the morning with Brix foliars for the kit girls and picture taking of each individual. That took me two hours. Lol! After I get drenches done I'll get the updates posted.

Let's start the day off with a little war whoop of joy, why not?

"YES!!! I'm ready to play!!!" :slide:

Wasn't that fun? Good. Life is meant to be fun. It's meant to feel good. The more joy you can express in your day-to-day life the clearer the signaling of your ECS, which mightily contributes not only to your physical health, but your mental and emotional health as well. Your ECS is the determiner of your personality expression, and it runs most efficiently in joy mode. So when I encourage you to be more and more joyful my intent is primarily to keep you getting better and better every day. My hope for you all is that you avoid some, if not all, of the physical challenges we commonly associate with aging. A healthy and balanced ECS will keep you humming along as a happy biological machine.

So get out there and spread that joy I know you can feel bubbling to the surface. Light up your corner of the universe. Together we create a beacon of health and wellness for others. Then there's the matter of Law of Attraction. If indeed we draw to ourselves what we give off, wouldn't you prefer that the things drawn to you were things brimming with joy, love, gratitude, excitement?

Be the change you wish to see in the world. Be deliberately joyful, and watch magic happen everywhere you go.

And have fun dammit! :laughtwo:

Weekly Update: Veg Shelf - Friday, August 25, 2017

This morning I finally remembered to get the kit girls sprayed with Brix. I've stopped using the Way Ahead. I don't like what it does to my leaves. There hasn't been an application yet that didn't damage leaves.

The guide beads that hang to either side mark the 12" limitation. The longer string in the middle marks the line for 18"

IMG_055263.JPG

Industrial Plant (Day 13) She's been getting nothing but plain water every couple days. I'm still waiting to see her demonstrate the
at she knows she's a cannabis plant. This batch of seeds was a total bust so far. Four didn't germinate and this one looks horrid. Maybe I'll write to Dinafem and see if they can make it right. I was hoping the 8% CBD would be the missing link in my regimen for the psoriasis. If she hasn't done anything appreciable in the next week she's toast.

IMG_055349.JPG

IMG_055450.JPG

Carnival 4.3 (Day 30) She'll be my final soil plant, at least that's my plan. The hempy girls would have to come in seriously deficient in trichomes or scent to get me to change my mind at this point.

I can see she's beginning to get some roots under her now. Nothing but light for the past week.

IMG_055552.JPG

IMG_055658.JPG

Blue Dream S1 (Day 24) She settled nicely into her transplant. The hempies do a surprising jump in vigor following a transplant. You can almost hear the roots celebrating over the increase in real estate. lol!

I'm feeding her at the rate of 8ml of Parts A&B per gallon and 1 ml of Energy. She's starting to green up nicely.

IMG_055766.JPG

IMG_055857.JPG

Jamaican Bag Seed (Day 47) This girl will be getting extensive veg time to try for some growth internally. This is one of the strangest plants I've ever grown. She shoots the branches out horizontally instead off vertically and the internal growth is just beginning to show. I'll take my time with her.

She's not had anything since she was upcanned on the 12th, and the pot is still quite heavy. Like I said, she'll have lots of veg time to get to become something worth flipping.

IMG_055953.JPG

IMG_056055.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.5 (Day 30) Considering the tiny bit of soil she's growing in I'm impressed as hell. I'll be looking to get her upcanned into something more substantial soon, but there won't be room for much more on this shelf until someone gets harvested and I can start moving tpgirls around more, so she'll have to make do for the time being.

She had her first Energy drench on the 21st.

IMG_056151.JPG

IMG_056254.JPG

Malawi (Day 42) Another drought-resistant strain, apparently. Nothing to drink since the 16th, and no signs that she's in any distress. As a matter of fact she's gathering energy to make a run for it, so I better get a plan together soon. Lol! I'm wondering if some sort of cage wouldn't work for her.

IMG_056349.JPG

IMG_056453.JPG

Dark Slide (Day 52) I'm holding out for the interior growth. Those two lanky branches caught me off guard, and she doesn't look as comfortable as she will in another couple weeks. She's needing watered like clockwork every four days, and I could probably up that to every three. Definately ready for more root space, but again, space is at a minimum. Malawi gets he next shot at a bigger pot, but she'll be flipped at that time, so I'll be able to get this girl upcanned at the same time and give her time to become a bush.

She had plain water yesterday.

IMG_056553.JPG

Next one I'll manage more efficiently. I'm considering chopping those lanky tops off and see what she does from there. I may just do that one impulsive moment this weekend.

IMG_056658.JPG

IMG_056751.JPG

Ultra Dawg 1.2 (Day 53) Look how happy she is with her new home. :cheesygrinsmiley: This is one magnificent plant! She'll easily outdo her mother.

She's being fed fed at the rate of 10 ml parts A&B per gal + 1 ml/gal Energy.

IMG_056949.JPG

IMG_057048.JPG

Thin Mint GSC 1.1 (Day 43) Yesterday I topped all the leaders. I have to slow her down somehow. :laughtwo: She's easily going to outperform her mother. I'm not really sure yet how I'll contain her. For now I'm concentrating on getting a reasonably level canopy.

Shes being fed fed at the rate of

IMG_057454.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.1 (Day 30) She had her leaders topped yesterday too. Another Amazon in the making. Lol!

She's also being ring fed at the moment with 10 ml Parts A&B to the gallon with 1 ml per gallon of Energy. Not having to check pH is such a relief. :battingeyelashes:

Weekly Update: The Tiny Closet - Friday, August 25, 2017

Welcome to my closet jungle. :laughtwo:

IMG_053545.JPG

Devil's Carnival (Day 85, flip + 30) The dankest smelling plant I have ever grown. :slide:

IMG_053742.JPG

The daughter identifies the scent as "rotten fruit," a descriptor that had me laughing on the floor. To me she smells invitingly potent-in-the-making.

IMG_053843.JPG

The colas are easily 18" long and filling out with vigor.

IMG_053946.JPG

You see the trichomes growing in this girl? :thedoubletake: If she turns out to be as potent as Carnival I may have a new favorite, providing I can find a way to control vertices growth.

IMG_054047.JPG

The tallest cola.

IMG_054147.JPG

Carnival 4.1 (Day 91, flip + 30) A stately beauty in her own right. I keep thinking how much she looks like something Rad and Canyon might grow, and that makes me smile. :)

Her feed regimen is 14 ml to the gallon Parts A&B + 8 ml Bulk to the gallon of water.

IMG_054355.JPG

Her tallest cola. She's running behind D.C. in blossom and scent development. She'll catch up quickly, I'm sure.

IMG_054640.JPG

Her trichome development is just getting started.

I'll be glad to get them harvested and get some DDA in here again. I'm out now, and that's wrong on so many levels. :laughtwo: One more month to go, at least.

Next up, tents. :slide:

Carnival 4.2 (Day 71, flip +5) I think she's the prettiest Carnival I've grown so far. There's a delicate air about this one I haven't seen previously.

Her feed regimen is 12 ml of Parts A &B and 1 ml of Energy per gallon of water. The girls in this size pot get 1/2 gallon each and get watered every four days. She and Carn 4.2 are stretching enough that I had to lift the lights this morning.

The RX Green Solutions girls are outpacing everything else in my garden, so regardless of cost I'll be ordering more when the current supply gets low.

Most of her trichomes are still clear, but I'll be watching her closely for that moment when she flushes to cloudy. She'll come down the very next day. There's a great need for the space. :laughtwo:

Just coasting to the finish line. Dropped most of her yellow leaves with just a touch, so I know she's close.

Assuming they've been getting plenty of light, those two strike me as the being plants that you could put into flower at 10" tall and end up with 7' plants, lol. Hope you've got a plan...

Probably both be good scrog material, but that's a RPitA unless you can dedicate a space to each individual strain (and, preferably, phenotype).

BtW, I have two new seedlings. And another one that might emerge (it produced a rootlet while soaking, and was planted at the same time as the other two). I'll give the slacker a week or so unless I can't find a cup for the next one, lol. I was going to place half into hempy and half into soil/perlite mix. But these three are in soil/perlite mix, so... IDK.

I need to find a local source for a 18" ReptiSun 10.0 supplemental UV bulb to replace the one in the middle of my LED panel. I've read that I should give cannabis plants "a few hours per day, only in flower" but I pretty much ran it 18 hours/day through a very extended vegetative period with no noticeable issues (to the plants, at least... might be the reason my skin looks to have aged 10 years in one year :rolleyes3 ).

Babies!

Good to see you TS :hugs: Babies light the world right up, don't they? :laughtwo: I talk to mine all the time, telling them how beautiful they'll be in full bloom and how much I'll enjoy their flowers. :battingeyelashes:

How did you like the Carnival?

It had an interesting flavor. Bit of a mood-lifter, too.

Time to test out the Ultra Dawg. :woohoo: :yahoo:

Dry weight for these 14 grams wet was 5 grams dry, which was just what I estimated. That brings the total harvest weight to 42 grams.

I'll be back with a smoke report in a bit. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_058649.JPG

I checked the calander, and there's no way that's correct. Three days isn't long enough. I must have looked at the clock wrong when I set it up, and got distracted. I'm r checking with the hygrometer, but I'm also smoking up that bud. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So far, I'm damned happy about growing this strain. I can't peg the taste, but the smell is fruity and delicious when you bust her up. Absolutely yummy and incredibly enticing. I'm not used to having so much flavor in freshly dried, but this low and slo is magnificent at retaining the terpenes, and we're discovering flavors and smells we don't remember getting before.

What is that taste? This is entirely foreign to me, and yet it has tinges of familiarity that tease the memory banks. The smell mirrors the taste, and the thick, languorous smoke is hauntingly distracting. I'm being challenged by the fact that I had to close the east window next to the tiny closet because it's getting uncomfortably cold with the cross breeze, and the scent of Devil's Carnival tumbles across the floor periodically in waves of sensuality. Good grief, she better be as potent as she smells. :laughtwo:

Ok, this was three hits, and I'm feeling very upbeat and giggly. :cheesygrinsmiley: Let me try to take three more.

First hit: It occurs to me that Conradino and TOAST have never tasted what I'm tasting, since they've never dried with terpene retention a priority. So that faintly woody taste with the edges of some exotic perfume may be the result of terpenes that float away when hung to dry.

Rubber! Not the taste, but in the smoke. I can smell rubber. Lol! That terpene should be easy to find. Of course, they can't identify the terpene combination that gives us the fuel smell yet, so maybe not.

Second hit: As I exhale Heatwave's "Always and Forever" came up on the playlist. Oh yeah........ Perfect cosmic timing. Hats off to the crew in the Joy Division night crew. :kisstwo:

Burns clean, easy, nice white ash. So delicious. It's like the inside of my mouth is coated with this mysterious combination of unusual flavors that don't feel like they should be able to compliment each other, and yet they do in the most playful and delightful way. I don't believe I've ever smoked anything this complex.

And her clone is even bigger and badder. Hmmmm..... This was an Osmo girl. :hmmm: Wonder what the new nutes will bring out, and if they'll replicate this taste? I'd grow in Osmo again to get this. I may not share this with the BIL after all. :laughtwo:

Third hit: The daughter stopped and distracted me with conversation and laughter just as I got ready to take the hit. She describes the lingering scent as woodsy, like a forest a couple days after a good rain. She discerned a touch of rubber in there too. The fruity is best appreciated up close, and is released in a burst that she could smell across the room, as I broke off enough for the fourth hit. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Easily the most complex flavors, and it enhances music and movement in enticing ways. It was hard to converse and listen to music without spontaneously breaking out in song to accompany the artist. Lol! The daughter is used to my excentricities. :laughtwo: Music felt like a caress. :dreamy: While standing and talking in the kitchen a few minutes ago I fell into a bouncing and swaying rhythm, testing the limits of my lower joints. It was great fun, but not normal behavior. :battingeyelashes:

It's been over 30 minutes and the enchanting scent still lingers.

I like it! The hygrometer says 75% RH  so I'll put it back in the fridge for a few more days. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'll keep out the rest of that delicious bud though.

I'm hungry. I forgot to eat dinner. :laughtwo: Be back later. :ciao:

IMG_058852.JPG

I forgot I had this piece drying over the veg tent. :slide: Now I can see if there's any difference between open dried and low and slo.

IMG_0589.PNG

It's 11:05, and Ultra Dawg just informed me that I'll be shutting down in about ten minutes.

Goodnight all.

Great smoke report! :cheesygrinsmiley: And it's a relaxer too, I see. Ni-night!

Are You by chance running cob leds sweet sue?

Yes I am Fsanti, as well as quantum boards over the veg shelf. I have a generous friend who owns a grow light company who wanted my plants to have the best and therefore allow me to offer my patients the finest I could grow.

Which is what this entire joyful display is about.

He gifted me the lights I was dreaming of. An act of incredible generosity and a startling moment of deliberate manifestation. Still makes me tear up to remember that moment when he offered out of the blue. There are many fond memories connected to my lights, aren't there Hash Hound? :battingeyelashes:

Are you using them yourself or thinking? I highly recommend the choice. I'm growing the best plants of my adventure, and a good part of the credit goes to these lights. Light is the machine that drives the grow, as we all know. My friend isn't a sponsor, so we can't discuss his company here.

Sleep well princess

:laughtwo: Didn't make it to bed until 1, (forgot I was airing out buds, running the distiller....you know) dragging my ass blindly to the bed, LOL, but I slept a solid and restful 7 hours straight and went straight into Pigeon's wake 'n bake. I AM HIGH! Five hits of Carnival (I say it like Pigeons does, "Car-nee-vaul!" :battingeyelashes:) I'll give it another try tonight, starting a bit later. Or go to bed when the urge hits, which means I need to make sure the chores are done before I sit down to smoke.
