SweetSue's Hempy Haven: Powered By Timber

Hiya SweetSue,

The Zam X Pan should be USA's national flower! she is so beautiful! Hopefully, you'll get a few "trips" from her cob! I'm jealous. (Not really)
I have a question about the DDA. It is an auto? Did you have to "flip" the light schedule? The reason I ask, You put the time there as though you did flip from veg to flower. So, I'm thinking one might be able to veg longer for bigger structure in veg. Gotsta know, please (lol).
Moving - I've been adventurous my whole life (so far). Can't get enough exciting times doing exciting things. Moved at least 25 times in my adult life. I tend to travel light. I so look forward to adventure, I'm enjoying your preparations and so wish I could experience the adventure with you! You certainly would be a great travel companion. I hope you enjoy NOLA after the newness wears off. I'm sure you will. Put you anywhere, and you'd find enough positivity to enjoy living there. That's what you have given to me through your journals, the strength to truly embrace any situation and rely on the cosmos to fill in the gaps. And I thank you for that!!

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: In case you need/want another hug. Cya

TS, you know if I get the chance to stop - and you know I’ll do all I can to stop and visit with you and your dear friend on the way - I’ll come with enough to share and some to leave behind. There’ll be Zam x Pan and some nice indicas done by then.

His place sounds perfect for the visit. :battingeyelashes: Tell him for me that in a perfect world he’d be doing the driving for me. :hugs:

Always looking good in the garden Sweetsue. Enjoy your move after the tired goes away. NOLA sounds like an exciting place to set up.

Why thank you stoneotter, and good morning to you. I’m excited, and as you can tell I drag the whole crew into the excitement with me. Lol!

Awww, Bode.... :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I’ll never get enough hugs. I’ve often thought I could be one of those people that stands on a corner and hugs anyone that opens their arms. Lol!

Hey.....you can admit to the envy. Lol! Oh Bode, I’m just as adventurous, married to a hermit whose health went ridiculously wrong. I let it lock me in. It’s been three years and I’m ready for new experiences.

Moved 25 times, eh? A light traveler you say? You sir, sound like a kindred spirit. Stop by NOLA someday. I’d like to hear tales of said adventures over many bowls and joints passed between us. :battingeyelashes:

Know what excites me most? Not only will my new landlord NOT come in and inspect, causing me to shove everything into hiding for a few moments and then set it all right again ——-what a sweet thought to not have to hide anymore —- but we’ll be putting our heads together looking for ways to grow better.

I swear, it feels too wonderful to not shed a tear or two now and again. :battingeyelashes:

Still have golden dragon in my Seedsman cart

Hmmmmmmm

Oh my God Chris..... Don't stop my heart like that. Lol!

I'm continuing to weed out things and get boxes actually packed and I came across this one.

"Everything in this box is."

This is my box of desires, gathered casually in photo form or denoted by some small item that triggered the focus of my desires. There's no pressure in a box like this, and it generates no need to justify why these things haven't happened yet. It's meant to be wandered through with a sense of generalized satisfaction, knowing these desires will come to be in their right time.

Then I opened the box and found manifested desire staring me in the face. Lol!

Ok, you try to tell me I'm farting unicorn sparkles.

There's a lot in here that'll come to nothing since Cajun went on to explore the universe, but there's much more that'll be coming to reality in no time. Somebody better visit with a motorcycle so I can get that ride I've been craving.

High Sue. :passitleft: I just dropped by to catch up and pass along some hugs.:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

High old friend.... Don't mind if I do. :passitleft:

And thanks for being there. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Let's see... Provides entertainment to the peanut gallery, potentially helps you by allowing others to spot any issues (current or approaching) and/or deficiencies in your setup, and helps other people learn - and shows them how easy it is to grow their own cannabis.

I'm thinking the answer is, "Yes."
Thanks TS! You got me motivated right there but hmmmm I'll just wait until I know for sure that I won't neglect my own journal again like last year!

Weekly Update: The Flowering Tents - Friday, August 10, 2018

On to the blooming beauties. All three tents are now on a 10/14 schedule.

Tent #1

Everyone blooms. :battingeyelashes: I don’t really have a lot to say about these girls. They’ll do their best, and evidently be beautiful in the process. I’ll step aside for a few moments and let you just enjoy.

My only sativa in this tent. Lol!

They’re all happy and no trouble to keep going. They take very little resources. I’m hoping the yield will give us the cushion we’ll. Red for the daughterbwhilebi delicate and start afresh.

Tent # 2

These girls fit well together. The shape of Carnival allows enough space for them both to breathe.

Red Diesel is up to 6 grams of Mega Crop per gallon of water used. I’m more impressed with this nutrient line’s simplicity with every drench. Doob and I are reserving judgement until we see what terpene expression turns out to be. I can tell you this is one happy plant.

And she’s blooming! :yahoo: She was the last to burst forth in bloom. She won’t have anywhere near what she’ll want in time. I’m hoping early harvest translates into frillier buzz. :slide:

Carnival plugs along. This specimen is taking on a stronger perfume than earlier ones, which may be due to the decreased lighting schedule. Hmmm.....

She is breathtaking. :battingeyelashes:

I’m certain I’ll have enough time to finish Carn.

Tent # 3

Ooo, la, la.....

This has to be the most extraordinary plant I’ve grown to date. An imposing one, isn’t she? Frosty as she can be this early in too.

There’s more fading going on in the dense undergrowth than up at the top. From the looks of things she’ll be close enough to done in another five weeks to be well worth the wait.

Leaf porn! :cheesygrinsmiley:

That brings this week’s nickel tour to its close ladies and gents. I
Thank you so much for indulging us with your visit. We hope you leave with a smile and a hankering for some time with your own plants.

Time for the celebratory buzz. I’ll be here, just smoking. :bongrip:
You're doing a wonderful job with her. You've got some nice sized colas building. Mines not as large, but I did get 1 female out of the 3 Zam x Pans I popped.

Mine is leaning a bit more towards the Panama. I'm glad these are getting a chance to shine.

High Sue - another day, some more to play! :hugs:

I’m gonna field this one - sure you’ll correct if I’m wrong...

put the time there as though you did flip from veg to flower. S

High Bode :) I’m pretty sure that ‘flip’ just refers to when the plant started flower (flipped itself) and that there’s no way to extend veg time on an auto. :thumb:

This is a totally awesome fact. It’s hard to be actually amazed by it though, because it just seems ‘as it should be’ :battingeyelashes: Excited still fits though!

:passitleft: :hugs:

And therein lies the magic of the moment Amy. As excited as I am about the change on the way, it feels like the most logical thing in the world. :slide:

Lovely Morglie, and seeing yours makes me even more appreciative of what that Timber qb is doing with mine. I have to believe the light has something to do with the way she exploded. I’m entranced, and couldn’t be happier to be showing her off so nicely.

She’s being very cooperative. :battingeyelashes:

I was considering trying a tomato cage with the larger plants, but the bamboo poles and chinelle strips are less invasive to my process and easier to rework quickly. Have you used them long?

Having had the pleasures of meeting Sue in May and the new landlords yesterday, I have to say it now seems to me even more of an ‘as it should be’ situation. They both have a different but similarly intense and passionate energy. I have no doubts they’ll instantly have the ‘1+1=11’ kind of relationship instead of ‘1+1=2’ kind.

Well.... this seriously lifted my expectation level.

I was joyfully walking through my neighborhood today - I stopped wearing earbuds when I go out because I know I’ll only be hearing the conversations of my community for a short time - wondering if New Orleans is ready for this.

One of the truths I accept as fact is that I can be so aligned with the cosmic forces orchestrating the manifestation of my desires that answers simply come to me when I need them.

Remember the conversation we had the other day about medical coverage? The universe delivered the answer today. :battingeyelashes:

Hiya SweetSue,

You helped me realize that for all those years when I had a situation to work out, I'd identify the exact problem and sleep on it. What I realized was the cosmos was delivering the answer overnight. I can't tell you how many times it's happened. Set it and forget it!

I want to thank you so much for some more Zam X Pan porn. Makes me wish and drool! Oh well, I'll have some Carnival in a couple months. They just started showing pistils today. I already can't reach the top.

I asked on the carnival thread about purple showing at the same time pistils started to show. Graytail came back and said no purple. Now I'm wondering, because all three have quite a lot of purple on the sugar leaves already. No cold nights, no reason I can see except genetics. Maybe I have a special strain, or maybe its not Carnival at all. Just wondering. I only hope it'll be a great sativa!

I saw the New Orleans Saints emblem in the box of desires. Cya :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I've been using these wire frames that are made to put yard signs up until recently. They are trash from work and I've repurposed them. Those and a bunch of wire.

I upped my pot size for a while to 17 gallon totes but I've realized they aren't practical with the way my set up is. Not for the majority of plants at least. They are too bulky and hard to get around, so I've transitioned to 5 gallon buckets. Another cast off from work.

They are a bit ungainly in veg as they come about an inch away from my lights. They give a ready made structure that I don't have to cobble on around the plant. On the same token, I have to put one on fairly early or it's a pain in the ass to get the plant though it without damage. I actually picked them up recently after seeing @DopyLemontree using some.

I'm very glad I put one on my Malawi. She's spread to twice the diameter she was when I put her into flower. And with the rate she's grown this time she'll need the support.

How much space are you going to have to work with at your new place? You might be able to rethink the way you grow.

You know you’re a thrifty grower when you repurpose work items that would normally be trashed. Lol! She’s a beaut! :high-five:

I’ll have my tents because I’m comfortable with them and I’m powered by Timber with a set-up compatible with them. Once I get settled in I may try something in another space. :battingeyelashes: I want to see what I have to work with first.

I have a 4x4 packed in a storage area that’s itching to be used, but then we have ventilation issues. I have enough equipment for what I grow. Lol! I still have two more lights in the works for afternthe move. One of these I’m using is Jgrow’s.

Not really sure yet
