SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

Thank you greatwolf. That was perfectly clear.

In our world, where we pay more attention to the biological science than the monetary potential, it's clear that whole plant extractions with some THC are a superior medicine for many purposes. THC potentiates CBD in the same way CBD returns the favor. Prohibition....... *sigh*

I'll have to look into what access I'd have to CBD products. To be honest, it's been a while since I went virtually shopping.
Sue, check out JohnnyAppleCBD and phytodabs. Remember, you got permission for me to name these companies? They have good prices and better deals.

Yes I do remember greatwolf. I was getting ready to check that post. Thanks. Man! It's been a busy week. :laughtwo:

I have to say how very frustrated I am. I wanted to order seeds, but my credit card company is wise that I am trying to purchase from a seed bank. When did this all of a sudden happen? I placed orders before. I am in a legal recreational and medical state of MA. I voted on it! Bitcoin seemed like the only way to go now. I finally navigated the system with umpteen problems...My credit card was not accepted because it was an "out of country purchase of funds" per the nice lady on the phone....not accepted...tried with my debit card...it was frozen until I called my bank who said...not gonna do it! . My direct bank link to my checking account was accepted...finally! Now I wait for my bank transfer to hit my "wallet" . Oh damn...Bitcoin futures dipped...yup...lost 20% of what I invested...so why do I feel dirty for trying to exercise my legal right? Grrrr. Sue...I need to take a page out of your life and let Good Karma wash over me! Teach me...cuz I am angry! I don't want to be. I'm just trying to exercise my right to explore my medical options without judgment. I don't want to get angry about it. I'm done...sorry!
Meditation helps. Visualize what your new seeds will grow into and the calmness they will bring you. It may help...

Thanks Greatwolf! ... I now feel the need to apologize for my rant! Damn steroids make me crazy! I'm not sure if I should go jogging or spontaneously combust! I will def look into meditation, and...a nice addition of my CBD Mango Haze

Holy shit you guys really keep me busy reading. So much to learn, so much to read and so much to do so let's get started!

I couldn't help but notice those posts about legal or illegal Cannabis, let's hope Cannabis gets legal for everyone who needs it! Anyway, here in the Netherlands you can grow up to 5 plants, buy 5 grams of high THC cannabis per costumer per day, and CBD products are just for sale in different webshops! Ideal right? No... Not really. It is nice that you can buy everything you need legally that easily here, but the medical world here in the Netherlands is just so bad about it... It's not even fun anymore! Plus pure cannabis extract is only for sale at a pharmacy or doctor on prescription. Odd isn't it? Medicines like advil, other painkillers that are made from snake venom, chemical stuff and other weird stuff is just for sale at an everage supermarket and Cannabis is so illegal... Well we'll just have to wait and see what the future will bring us.

But I have read that in some parts of the US, you're not allowed to buy a gun anymore when you are a medical marijuana usere? Is that correct? Well some of you wouldn't really care because not everyone likes guns. But if you think about the reasons behind it, is it because guns and "drugs" (Cannabis) don't go together? While you're still allowed to buy a big bottle of whisky with a lot of guns at home? Weird... But as almost all of you know by know, I'm a big fan of guns and cannabis both. And in the land of the free you have to choose one of those if you want to become a medical user? Jesus...

Anyway too much yelling at the legal stuff and thingies. To get back on how easy it is to get things related to cannabis here in the Netherlands, even complete sets of making oil in a really efficient way, something like alcohol to uuse for making the oil is heavily taxed here in the Netherlands. A bottle of drinkable 96% alcohol (For god sake please do not drink it even though it's drinkable) Costs about 35 euro's, which is 40 dollars for 1 litre or 1/4 of a gallon. Yeah it is worth it but expensive as hell...

I also read about the CBD christals and now I am still wondering, how do they get those pure CBD christals, and is it even possible for us normal growers to produce those christals? Same question goes for thw oil because I have seen some oils that have 20, 35 and even 50% pure CBD in them, yeah those oils cost something like 400 dollars here. But how is that good stuff being made? Probably nothing that we as normal growers can not achieve at home, with normal kitchen equipment, maybe a little bit more advanced equipment. There are some rare Cannabis strains that have 20%CBD in them at optimal grow environments... Would be a nice little strain.

Now I talk to much again! As always... BUT I always end up with my plans on doing stuff Cannabis related. So yeah, I am going to go back to growing! How? No idea. I just need to figure out a tiny grow operation with 3 plants that I can easily change and remove and other stuff. Because I really want to go learn more about more efficient and better ways to make oil and maybe learn a lot more with that. I'm almost 19 so I am probably one of the youngest if not the youngest member that is so interested in the medical effects. I figured out that the best thing to do is learn mpre about it and grow further into it. And who knows where I will and up.

And this ladies and gentleman, can not be done without you guys so I reeeaaallly really really appreciate your knowledge, kindness, feel of family and support for doing this! I can not thank you guys enough! Now... Let's make a difference! (That last quote is a good one for my signature!)

Potentially, yes, I think so, providing you consider THC and THCa together. You could have arrived at your CCO without significant heating of the bud or its oil by performing the solvent evaporation at room temperature near a fan; whereas there is no way to melt the oil out of the trichomes except by heat and pressure so expect to boil off a small percentage of the THCa in the process, along with some of the terpenes. THCa has a low boiling point, 105C (220F).

If you are buying it in rosin form, has it already been decarbed?

Spires, I decarb the rosin myself. I watched videos on YouTube and then I figured out how to do it my way. I put the rosin in a silicone baking cup and that inside an oven safe dish. Once the rosin is decarbed, I pour it back into the glass container I bought it in. I take dabs and put them on dried fruit right before bed.

Cheers, Kelly

First, no need to apologise; we've all been there, where someone, somewhere, stepped all over our nicely laid plans and screwed everything up. I used to let things get to me so much that I had ulcers in my early 20s.

Second, I'll teach you a simple meditation right now that will last you the rest of your life and all you need is your own breath. It's called annapansati, which means, mindfulness through breathing. Just concentrate on the flow of air entering and leaving your body. Try to feel it flow over your lip. Do this for a couple of minutes in the morning and at night. And slowly build up your time to 5 or 10 minutes.

You don't have to sit in a particular position. Yes, I used to sit in half lotus, but I can't now, I have to lay on my side. And don't get upset when your mind wanders, just bring your focus back to your breath.

After a couple of weeks, you'll find yourself turning to it instead anger. After a couple of months it'll be second nature.

Thanks and reps for some much needed advice Greatwolf! I am adding this to my day starting now. :thanks:

This is awesome. Do you remember, Sue, in which course or seminar or web resource you picked up this wonderful nugget of information? Reps for even knowing that... ..

Sorry Amy, I forgot to answer this. To be honest, I can't remember where I learned this, but I remember that the bulbous trichomes are a mere 10-15 microns high, and they're one of the three trichome forms that contain cannabinoids. I learned that in my first year here. It's probably buried in that first journal. I can't read that one yet.

Out of the blue three weeks ago, my dream of meditating daily actually happened, when I wasn't expecting it. Lol! I have a fan blowing in the room behind me and I start by focusing on my breath for just a few inhallations, to get my spirit quiet, and then I shift to the sound of that fan. I used to fight the thoughts, but now I just mentally turn away from them and go back to that fan humming away.

I think what freaks people out is your thoughts, and it really wasn't until three weeks ago, when I started thinking of meditation as nothing more than time to reset the vibratory tone, that it clicked. I'm not trying to solve any problems, I'm not trying to heal anything or become anything through meditation. All I'm doing is quieting my thoughts so the cells can fine-tune the vibration of homeostasis.

That's what finally worked for me. I offer it as insight into how someone else got it to click, because I have to be honest, it's made all the difference in the world. I shower, slather on my healing cream and sit right down to meditate. I stopped picking up my devices until I was done meditating, another reason it finally worked. It's easy to get sucked into the site, and before you know it the time is gone and obligations call.

The true secret to my calm center though is deliberate waking. Making the deliberate choice as my eyes open in the morning to engage the universe in joyful play once again, and stating that right out loud with glee and fervor - that changed the dynamic tone of my entire existence in less than a month. It's been fine-tuning for the past year, and it's probably the reason I suddenly started meditating consistently. Equanimity used to be a dream I thought I'd not attain. Mindful breathing taught me it was possible. Deliberate waking strengthened my cosmic ties. Meditation keeps me in the receptive mode for cosmic inspiration.

Don't you love evolution? :cheesygrinsmiley:

What I like about using my breath is I always have it with me - stuck in traffic, waiting at the doctor's office, in line, on a plane, etc. All the places that used to irritate me. Now I just breathe and pay attention.

Thanks for your kindness Sue and Greatwolf! The mediation is a bit challenging I find, as my mind drifts. I it's amazing how just mindful breathing is calming. I should have figured that out myself by recalling how calming I found inhaling deeply the scent of my plants when I opened the tent. I will continue to practice at it. And I do love evolution! :Namaste:

I use coconut oil because I dislike the flavor of olive oil and cannabudder gives me heartburn. I keep the capsules frozen to keep them fresh.

Yea ill be trying my first batch of biobombs with organic coconut oil 2morow. Also guys if i made some infused cooking oil with my mb2 and I added in the lecithin after i had it made and sitting out for a day or 2 but then after i added the lecithin i forgot to put it in the fridge so im wondering is it good any more??

I cannot see that being an issue, oils sit at room temperature on a regular basis without going Rancid. I know it's ideal to keep your oil refrigerated, but I can't see 48 Hours playing a huge part in it prematurely going bad.
