Supply & Demand...

Well if your worried about cloning from a clone then keep a mother plant in a separate grow room. We're all here for the same reason. To help and talk with each other about this great herb we all enjoy! What works for one doesn't always work for another. Then you get into likes and dislikes as well. Every grower, grow and plant is different. All have their own individual needs and figuring out exactly what is needed at what time is part of the challenge. That's one great thing about this site. You get all sorts of different answers for your questions. All you have to do is take the ones that are right for you and apply them in ways that work for you and to store the other answers away for future grows that they may apply to.
My biggest piece of advice here is for you to read. Utilize the search feature. Every question you could possibly have has been answered here at one time or another. Type in your questions and read the posts/threads that come up. Reading is the key and you can't go wrong by doing it. If you do get stuck, then ask a question. A old drill seargent once told me that the only stupid question is a unasked question.
Good luck and I hope to soon see a kick ass grow in the works for you.

You can keep a mother plant in veg and take clones off her for years.

First define Veg: and if you keep her for years will she not flower and produce then die?
She won't flower if you keep the lights on more than 12 hours a day. there do come issues of roots and nutes etc., but they can easily be handled.

thaks for the input everyone, just one quick thing- if a person only needed enough smoke for 1oz a week use and thats all-approx.10-15 plants what size room would said person need and how much electric juice also would be needed - i understand that growing is not a exact science but gotta start somewhere, right? thanks everyone:cool:

Like you said, it's not an exact science. A lot will depend on what method you use, and how much time and money you stick into it from the get go. I've read that a good Scrog grow can yeild nearly 2 ounces per sq. foot of screen in which case you would only need about 1/2 as many plants. Here's a great post on Scrog.
Repost: Fundamentals of scrog growing under small lights P420's last grow journal has a wealth of info in it!
Josh Williams (P420) Paralyzed420's Grow 4 - Fallen Warrior IMHO though, don't worry so much about yeild right now. Learn how to grow. Learn the life cycles of MJ and how it performs in your personal grow area, then tweek your methods to get the best yield you can.
