exactly, ...the fem. seeds have already been unusually stressed, just by turning them fem....and then to leave them longer as i do, sometimes they just cant take it....usually i get a couple of seeds off fem plants, and they are viable (will live) if they mature, but i try to pluck off the males if i see them....the ones that hide in the bud are the ones i miss....but on the good side, if live, the good side is the seeds are 95% sure to be fem. also, and the rest are hermie from the get go....alot of growers will not fem their seeds like d.j. short for just that reason....i dont have the time or the will to plant reg seeds so i go for the fem....knowing that in extreme cases that shock of any kind can send them to the hermie side....it is still worth it to me....hope this helps....lavendar..
