Supergroomer - Back & Smaller Than Ever

Sorry to be so absent the past two days supergroomer. What happens in Vegas.......... Hahaha!

I'm headed to bed as you're getting up. How crazy is that? I won't have internet for much of the trip back to Phoenix tomorrow, so I may be late checking up on the girls, but I wanted to say how lovely Suzy and Cindy are looking. :high-five:

Now to bed at long last. I sure do get caught up in conversation as I make my way around the digital neighborhood.

Goodnight/good morning. :circle-of-love:

Sue's Carnival day 26 (T minus 8 days)

Good Morning supergroomer, and all his lucky little (and not-so-little) charges.

Everyone looks healthy and strong supergroomer. They're lucky to be growing under your care. How many nodes will you let the new growth on Suzy develop before you clip them? I'm assuming that's your plan. It's not a method I've used yet, so I'm watching you carefully. How many tops do you shoot for? Using Graytail's method I plan for 10-12 tops of solid colas, hoping for packed flowers around a foot in length apiece. I didn't measure any of mine for length the last time. Didn't think of it, to be honest. I'll make sure to do that this time.

This was the most marvelous vacation ever. I've never been this pampered before, and let me tell you, being able to do Vegas without any thought to expense was refreshing. I'm sitting on the bed, just out of the shower, wrapped up in the softest robe in the world and watching the sun rise over the mountains in the distance. Pure indulgence. :battingeyelashes:  I got about 3 1/2 hours of sleep before my body said "WAKE UP GIRL!!" I may sleep in the car. :laughtwo:

Let me swing by the coffee and bud lounge on my way to my yard and grab something infused. Cajun knows so much more about those things than I. He's always ordering things I wish I'd thought of. LOL!

Good morning Sue!!!! I don't have a particular time frame for topping. All I can tell you is I do it when it feels right!!:) I will usually top 2 or 3 times during veg. I will get 8 to 12 tops usually. Right now my veg time is 6-8 weeks (depending on space available) If I have them vegging longer, they may get an extra topping in there some where!!:circle-of-love::peace:

Interesting. We get the same number of colas in the end, but I top just once. I'm wondering now how the colas from each method stack up. I'll be paying much closer attention now.

I will usually top the first time, then when the new tops come up top them. Repeat as necessary. I try to give them a couple weeks from the last topping before I put them into flower. :peace:

Id have to agree with you supergroomer. It looks like another two weeks to harvest on the Blue Blood. Are those buds as solid as they appear to be?

How many days is Suzy? I wanted to track down a picture of mine from the last grow to contrast the growth using the two different techniques and post it on my journal. I need a picture on there, and you've already started that on my journal. I thought it might be interesting to continue her presence there going forward.

If you'd like I could share those contrasting photos here as well.

I'm glad to hear the Blue Blood's buds are so dense. Are you noticing any appreciable increase in trichome production with the use of the oils? Are you spraying or drenching? I plan to drench, for the most part. If I spray my non-kit plants it's going to be kelp or lactobacillus serum.

I want you to end up with those "clouds of trichs" Cajun mentioned yesterday. That'll mean more oil. :slide:

Sue's Carnival day 27 :). By all means. Share some comparing pics!!

I do think I am seeing an increase on the BB. I am spraying them every other day with oils. I don't have the "cloud" (yet ;)) but I will stay the course!! I am hoping to see a real fattening of the buds over then next couple weeks!! :circle-of-love::peace:

My picture (bottom) is actually from day 28. There wasn't a decent picture for this purpose from the preceding day.

The first thing that struck me was the possibility that they aren't the same phenotype. Graytail's identified two distinct phenotypes - the bushy one I grew and the lankier one he often gets. Yours appears to be the one that most often blesses his grow spaces. Aside from that they appear to be sending off the same amount of new growth at this stage. I think I'll do this contrast once a week. My thought is that if we end up with essentially the same effects it's easier to choose my lazy method of letting them go and top just once. I'm really curious now.

Let me go and share this on my own journal. :ciao:
