Super Silver Haze & White Widow DWC 2019

.04 ec 200ppm with ph of 7.5 - 8 its pretty hard, thats why im running ro
i use tap water at 130ppm and 7.2 before I treat it with an aquarium tap water cleaner , it removes chloramine along with all the other crap. does leave metals in it though . No issues to date this way. sadly Ro not possible for me here.

I don't know enough about hydroguard to say for sure. It does sound like that if it just washes off it is either what you said or just nute staining.
I would think if it was a serious root problem it almost surely would not just wash off. It would be in the roots, not on them.

@Ganjagrandaddy would know more here I think

True, thats does make sense. Thanks for the reassurance

agree with you. staining comes eith some nutes and additives , i use golden tree which would make trump into obama its that concentrated. My roots always have that and as long as its not slimy to touch or foamy the should be all good. makes sense on the fibrous colonies forming too. nice a call.
Hydroguard is the nuts for non sterile res with bennies but if the pythos has got a grip then treating with an additive to kill it would serve better . It is a good preventative but will struggle to help if out i after the issue starts. Always at full dilution too. I am trying another product once i flip to flower and the roots are big enough. "Silver roots" . liked the write
up and reviews for gleami g white sterile roots for flowering nute uptake.

Lookin sweet mate. Wee tip for next time, root them up in a humidity box before putting them into the Res. That way you won't have to top feed.
Seems like you've got everything under control though. Ill tag along too and see how you get on. Looks like you're into a winner anyway. If you need any help feel free to give me a shout. Not sure what the floaty stuff is though so don't ask me that lol.

No worries bud. Best advice I can give you is to follow the ppm. If it goes up at all it's too strong. You want it dropping slightly from day to day. If you can keep it dropping just slightly you'll never get any issues more serious than a wee bit of yellowing here and there. Which is easily fixed with a little extra dose of whatever. It'll keep you pH as stable as it can be too. Your nutes are about spot on just now though. The magic number is
roughly 100ppm per week of veg. Give or take a little.
Bottoms go yellow up the base nutes.
Tops go yellow up the micro nutes.
Mids loose colour and go patchy or if you get rust spots it's calmag.
That's all there is too it really. Follow the ppm, keep the pH in range and that's about all you need to know cos nothing else can go wrong.

love those tipsmate. explains so much in a few sentences. Rdwc is a newer medium for me too so trusting what worked so far and advice from other respected growers here too. The ppm per week one is a great one and the adding nutes or cal mag use. can catch many growers out with overfeeding ect..

Keep shit simple mate and not much can go wrong. Too many people try to over complicate things and hit people with techno science jargon to make themselves sound Intelligent. I struggled through my first grow because of it then found a mentor who pulled the sock puppets out for me and gave me the simple version. Follow the numbers thpugh and you don't need to know anything else. I still study cos I like helping out on the forums, it's a kind of therapy for me. I could blast out the science stuff but truth is you only need to follow a couple of very basic rules to get a pretty perfect grow. It's remarkably easy once you know the golden rules.
