Are you expecting her to fill that net after you flip?
I'm sceptical at this point, so I'm giving it a few more days, but in order to not mess up schedule too much, I wont delay it beyond a few days. 3 to 4 at most.

Super Silver Haze, dear darling, how about you start growing like the herb you are supposed to be, a weed?! (aka why art thou forsaking me) I raised the light to its highest position, in order to stimulate her to stretch a bit... at this rate she is going to become one ginormous cola :/

Lets see what that does over the next few days.

If anybody has grown a SSH before and knows anything about her stretch, let me know,
I've grown one, and she doubled in size after the flip to 12/12- but...she was only 8.5 inches tall when I flipped her. She wasn't very big in the end (17"), but she did manage to win plant of the month...

For future reference, a fertilizer with a higher proportion of ammonium nitrate (~20 to 25%) will result in more stem elongation. A higher amount of phosphorus (say 2N:1P) can also result in a more elongated structure. And a light source with a redder spectrum (like HPS) can also elongate stems.

Yeah, all this is why I expected more stretch to begin with. GH Tri Part has a good amount of P in it, and its been under HPS for a while, as you know. I'll just run with this, and see what happens I guess :)

I guess I will flip her today and ask her nicely to get going and fill that net .. and remember the experience that yields for adjustment in my next run with her. Still not given up on her stretching, but I did give up on her doing it in veg..

This lady is getting on my nerves .. she refuses to stretch. I'm about to test kicking her but..

Either way, she has been flipped. 12/12 from now on, and better fill that net. I will take a clone in a few days to give me a little more plant to work with.

This lady .. she is really trying to be as much of a pita as she can. I took a clone yesterday as one of the braches was growing down, and with 3 nodes it was (just) long enough. See clone journal later today or tomorrow morning.

Happy New Year!

Super Silver Haze had nutes added. What I usually do when I know the res should still be good, is take the difference between the regimens, and add it.

So in this case, I went from grow regimen to pre-flower regimen, so I subtracted the grow regimen from the preflower regimen, and multiplied times volume of res in liters. Its not ideal, but it should do more then enough and is a lot cheaper than binning the res due to flip. As soon as we hit actual flower, I will do a full res change.

I took a bunch of leaves off as well. Still no stretch.

In her second week of 12/12 now, still no signs of pre-flower, as I predicted and hoped for. She is gradually filling up the net, tho she will probably look a bit like the Jack Herer in the end .. not completely as I prefer, but good enough.

SSH is not showing signs of pre-flower yet, otherwise looking good, I expect to see sex in a few days. Fingers crossed she was properly feminized :)
