Stupidface Grows Again - Featuring Mephisto Illuminautos, LEDs & Promix

I use fresh but you do need to decarb first. I use turkey roasting bags at 235f for 110 min. Then put in the freezer for about an

Thanks for that. I was hoping that the machine would take care of the decarb, but i guess the decarb will just be a fast way to dry all this trim.

Just ordered a magical butter machine. Does anyone know if the herb needs to be dried when using it? I imagine using fresh trim would add water to the mix.

I believe you can use fresh herb. If using non-decarbed herb I would select one of the higher temperature and longer running cycles. If I recall (too lazy to get up and look) you can set temperature between 130-220F and time 2-8 hours.

I like my MB but one warning.... it's noisy. I usually move it down to my office so as not to disturb us while brewing.

Thanks guys! The wife is picking up some roasting bags today so I'm going to decarb following Derby's instructions. For the noise I'll just set it up in the kitchen in our basement. Will be interesting trying to get the dosage right.

Only a few hours until the blackberry kush gets chopped!

One other thing I don't know if you been by my journal in a while but I've been using the roasting bags to cure my buds also. Works out real well as you only have one bag to burp instead of 15 jars and the aroma evens out better. Bag takes seconds to burp (just raise and lower the flap of the bag a few times) and jars you need to let sit for 10 min. to replace the stale air.

I just F’n love this purple B! Nicely done, she’s a winner!

How’d the MB2 do for ya?

Thanks! The MB2 gets here Monday and hopefully I'll be making butter Tuesday. Going to do a batch with just the trim from the blackberry and see if i get pink butter.

Oooooh pics please of the pink goodness:)
I suggest coconut oil and sunflower lethicin:) I just tried avocado oil infusion and that’s wicked too!!
@newty - question for you about the lecithin? Does it separate from the butter on you. I had screwed up and forgot to put it in the brew. I remelted the butter and added the lecithin but after molding I noticed it settled to the bottom.

Hmmmm I’ve never infused with actual butter Are you using liquid lethicin? I should have said that you need to use the liquid or it doesn’t mix well;)

I would strongly encourage all to use coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil (EVO), I know sweet sue has done a lot of research and I believe the high is better and longer lasting than if you infuse with regular butter. Has to do with how our bodies absorb the fat. (Not a scientist) lol

I’ve read some articles that say if your using it as medicine, EVO is best and if you want it for recreational use, coconut oil is the choice of most. I hope that makes sense :)

Troy, I’m having the same thing happening. I posted in the FHO thread and Sue said it’s normal. The LSL is thick as molasses and will settle out. I figure though, that’s probably just the eccess that is on the bottom of the bottle. I just shake it up before dosing.

Thanks @BigBearNTexas and @newty - I'm using the liquid form. I have a batch of CoConut Oil infused but I'm not real partial of the strong coconut flavor. I was doing some research and it indicates the virgin unrefined has a strong coconut flavor while the refined version only has a slight taste.
