Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

Thanks Boo.
I really am beyond happy about these. I kept waiting for herms and barely realized what a good looking plant she had become already at just a month old. VERY similar to Wedding Cake’s growth patterns at this age, too.
I was surprised any of these even sprouted since they literally popped off the plant and into a shot glass to float. Then all 4/4 sprouted.
I did trash #3 because it was lanky and had what looked like the beginning of a boy part…but I should have waited. I saw a similar thing on one of these other plants after a pistil broke/fell off and confused me by leaving what ALMOST looked like the start of a ball.
All 3 of the remaining are doing great, the outdoor ones are fabulous.
I have 33 Wookiees seeds left, 3 are growing and 1 made it’s way to @Carcass - I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do with her, I just had to test a few first.
So far I’m pretty impressed…that this even worked is a miracle. And the plants might actually be the kind of thing I was looking for. Thrive outside without training, thrive inside with heavy training, can’t wait to taste the difference in those 2.
So can you train an auto that stays strictly outside or does it stress them too much?

You definitely can, I don’t because of wind. I feel like branches would be snappin. Plus they get their own cool shape outdoors.
Topping though- YES, ABSOLUTELY.

Day 49
She’s swallowing up the tent

but looking good while doing it.

Glad I upgraded tents, the last one was way too short for a plant like this

Day 50
Won’t stop…Had to raise the light yesterday. All that did is make her stretch more lol

Well, folks- she’s big. Being the second time I’ve grown this and had it get larger than expected, I have an observation.

This GSC auto responded really well to defoliation, in both plants. Meaning that every time I did a regular (large) cutting of lower growth, it extended her veg time. This isn’t true with all autos, but this one YES it worked.
She now has very well developed branches that each look like their own plant.
The superthrive also helps now that I use all the way through early flower. I have really good luck with it adding some new extra length to plants.

So up close, these flowers look more like this is a 25-30 day old plant. But from a few feet back, she looks like a different animal. I’m not much for early predictions but this one is on track to EASILY be my biggest yielding auto ever.
The next 50 days are gonna see a lot of weight put into these branches. I hope she’s ready…

She looks great Justin! Just a question, she's got two branches in the photo that look a lot taller then the others. Are you going for an even canopy, or is there another plan? Sorry if that's already been covered?:nomo:

I'm excited to see what you do and hope you beat your record! I know your record gives me a target  even if I'm way below that target weight, ya gotta aim high as they say...

Hey Rexer!
Yes my "plan" was an even canopy, but there's always a few creepers that get longer. As long as they don't go up and touch the light I'll leave them alone to do their thing, possibly a bit of bending if needed. I didn't expect this kind of size so I didn't really have a plan for that. I guess there are worse problems to have!

Hopefully the quality of the flowers will match or surpass the size of the plant. She's a very great looking plant and looks like she only plans to get larger.

Purple Lemonade coloring up outdoors.
She has had 1 feeding in her life, consisting of 1g MegaCrop, 1 ml CalMag and 3ml Purpinator. Other than that, just hose water, not even pH balanced (pretty high at 7.8pH) and a few solid weeks of sun. She’s even getting bulky- from what I don’t know. Such a light feeder it’s almost unbelievable.

Wookiees #1 is growing so fast it’s almost as big as Zkittlez now, definitely will be in a few more days. The other untopped Wookiees is now taller than the Blueberry

I tried some autos out here last year, from an inferior non sponsor seed bank. They weren’t autos.
This time I know a bit more and have great seeds around.
I feel pretty good about this first real outdoor auto crop.

Thank ya
This girl just gets bigger every time the larf is trimmed, it ends up being really good for solid nugget development and less waste down low.
This light and this auto turned out to be a good combo. Hard to believe it’s only using 96 watts right now.

Have you ever grown gelato autos? I’m struggling with those right now in the greenhouse.

Good morning Juzzy Geester :)

She is a beauty! Reaching for that sunshine like a green dream.
Thank you T, I’m liking her a lot.

A better look at the top

Ooh wee! She's a big en. :slide:
For a few minutes last week I was thinking “did I get stoned and accidentally drop a photo GSC?” cause I thought this thing would never commit to flowering.
But no I just picked the right company for my GSC, these seeds are gold to me. Happy to pass on the genetics of this batch to my next projects, too.

How are you going to stop her from getting too tall given that she's flowering and you're not supposed to train anymore?

No more training, but as long as she will bend, she’s never going to touch that light ;) That’s the good part about new growth is it’s still pretty flexible. Post training Training. I had to do it on the last GSC auto as well.
