Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

I did pull these out and do just a bit more bending yesterday to maximize this space down the road.

Switched places again and the WC (left) is really growing a lot of heads. Looking like it’s going to be a real beauty.
The CBG is a good looking plant with some nice strong growth. Both of these will be winners.

Lux is currently 51,000 in here, which works with this light (it’s a too high with my other 2 lights)
They are now getting 5g/G MC and I alternate sweet candy (1g) and purpinator (5ml) every other watering.

I’ve had a lot of success the past few grows not going above 5.5 with MC. As soon as I go over that, I get problems that won’t go away. I don’t need problems.

Found this little lady today in the house, so I put her out in this tent. Hopefully there’s nothing to eat ;)

but still good to have her around just in case I miss something.

These are flowering up really nicely, and the CBG has taken a bit of a lead on it

both will start a stretch here pretty quick and who knows how they might stack up.

Looks exciting to me!
Thanks!
It is a bit exciting in that it’s my first grow in FFOF and using recharge, and my first look at a CBG auto. She’s very robust and healthy by the way- though she’s a saggy one sometimes...she likes a very short day. First thing in the morning she looks like she was out partying all night lol and then about 8pm she just goes right back to that look. Very few hours in the day where she stands up like the WC. But somehow she’s growing every bit as fast. Her variegation is cool too, along with the bit of purple/pink starting here and there.

Just a Monday update pic, nothing exciting yet
Any update is exciting to me! That’s the content I’m here for!!
:thumb:

Are you planning a defol on them? I’m tossing around the idea of an outdoor auto this year, it would be my first crack at the autos, and wondering about procedure on them.

At the point I’m at here, I remove a few leaves every day to uncover all of the tops. I tuck some too, but regular defoliation is part of my deal with autos. I think it helps extend their veg time in certain cases too, it’s a good idea and doesn’t hurt when it’s done correctly.
I’ll definitely do one more major defol and trim off all the larfy lower growth here in about a week, too.

Noted. I’m itching to get it going, watching everybody around me dropping beans!! I’m trying to wait at least another week in order to time it with the weather to go right outside.

A little side view, and you can kind of see how the CBG (left) starts to sag around this time at night, while the WC in the back just keeps wanting as much light as I can give it.

These ladies got their last defol for a while. I will trim the lower growth piece by piece as the branches stretch. That way I can see what branches are going to be nugs, and which ones will be larf, and trim accordingly. Eventually I get that nice clean look down below for lots of air movement and nothing hanging low for pests.

In another tent, far far away (for now) is a Dope Seeds Gelato (auto) that has had a reversal using CS 50ppm.
It will soon be the pollen donor in this tent and we are going to take a crack at making our own Ice Cream Cake auto, and a brand new CBG/Gelato feminized auto cross that should be interesting to say the least.

This is confused mother Dope seeds Gelato, just starting to make balls

The second plant I was treating with CS has started showing balls as well, it’s a GSC auto from @Weed Seeds Express.

It’s was much less advanced into flower before it started to show.

But this other plant (dope seeds gelato auto) is about to have a pollen explosion, balls over the whole plant.

Shouldn’t be long now!

Looking good over here Justin! So, you are gonna sprinkle pollen from the “dudes” onto the girls in flower above and then they will produce seeds, correct? Will you still get usable bud when it’s all said and done? :thanks:
Haha, well- it depends a lot on how careful I am.

I will attempt to choose a few lower branches that I can isolate. I would turn off all fans in that tent for the day. Gather a tiny bit of pollen (upstairs) and bring it down to the garage. I’ll paint it on with a little paint brush as deep into the hairs as I can get it. I cover that spot with newspaper or something that won’t add heat and wrap it pretty tight. Leave it for the day then the next morning I’ll carefully uncover that area and spray it down with distilled water until all the pollen is rinsed off.
Inevitably, there will be seeds here and there from microscopic pollen getting loose, but there’s no reason to ruin ALL the bud unless I’m trying to make 1000 seeds at once. I’m looking for more like 50 ;) but in this case, accidents mean Ice Cream Cake seeds, so...I’ll happily sacrifice a bit of bud for what’s essentially a lifetime supply of feminized seeds of one of my favorite crosses.

:drool::headbanger:
I can also breed the Gelato with itself and make feminized seeds. That will happen without me trying if I just let it go to the end. But I have to contain and collect that pollen. It gets everywhere like spores of the unnamed white devil ;)

The silver cost me $12, it did 2 autos, taking about 5 weeks- ish.
I’m not new to breeding but I’m new to this method and if it works, I’ll never need to buy seeds again.
