The little science project has outgrown its container, so it’s making the big jump today into the turtle pond. The fish are reunited with their friends (0 deaths) and this giant root mass can have everything a turtle pond can offer. Plus if it turns male, it will be away from the indoor plants.

There's a statement you don't hear much around here.... ;)

That's going to be an interesting looking turtle pond if she/he takes after her/his sisters...

Hopefully the slider turtle doesn’t eat roots. Who know what it will do in here though. It could just die in a week or could become a really awesome POTM contender lol

Hey @carcass heres the GelatOG auto and her clone. She’s finally into flowering (light still @19/5) and her baby is luckily about 10 days behind that so maybe it will have time to be something...pretty interesting

It’s hot this week and I started using silica blast recently in anticipation of this heat wave (lol it’s 79 outside) that sun makes the garage hot on a day like this. The outside plants are loving life. I will update those later this week.

I just bought some autos and was wondering what is some good soil and nutes to use on them? This will be my first auto but have grown for about 5 years now. Looking for some advice. Any advice will help. Thanks in advance!:Rasta:
Thanks for stopping by. For nutes it doesn’t get any cheaper or easier than MegaCrop. Consistently excellent yields (I have harvested at least 7 oz per plant every time) and can be used by itself or with other products.
For soil, use what you can afford. People swear by promix, but it’s a bit more $$$. I use G&B organics blue ribbon blend or Black Gold natural and organic potting soil.
Lots of good advice around here on those subjects, as well as many other subjects. What kind of lights are you going to use? What strains?

I'm using a 1000w led light for my indoor grow. I have fox farm notes but don't want to burn my plants cause I have had some problems from fox farm. Im growing indoor with soil though so that info helps alot. Any tips? I got my seeds from Marijuana seeds NL and I heard they are a very trusted vendor and gave me some free seeds for shopping over 100$...i purchased some white widow max and some gorilla glue both fem autos. Is that a good choice?‍♂️

I’ve had problems with fox farm nutrients burning certain strains as well. My advice there is start out about 75% strength and go up or down according to how the plants look and react.
Most of my other general cannabis growing advice is really simple- 1. Don’t over water or over trim. Autos need to grow with as little stress or interruption as possible. So when it’s time- top it , train it, and leave it.
2. As soon as you’re able, water the plant from the bottom (in a tray) to avoid gnats as much as you can. Also keeping humidity as low as possible (according to plant needs) helps keep down many pests.
3. When you think the plant is done, give it another week. Go by trichomes, not always the same as breeder suggested harvest times. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF SUCCESSFUL HARVESTING IS PROPER DRY/CURE. And skip the flush, it’s BS. The plant will tell you when it’s done eating.
And yes those sound like perfect strains to grow. Gorilla Glue is awesome. Best of luck!

Tried out the new press today for the first time. I have somewhere between 20-30 oz of dried cured leafy undergrowth flower in glass jars (Tangerine Dream and Gorilla Glue #4), and every crop brings more. Keep the best, smash the rest :headbanger:
I thought the setup would be crazy but it was all really simple to do with this machine. It starts with 7g of whatever part of the plant you want, stuffed into the tiny filter bag.

Once the temp is up (190 seemed about what I was after) the bag goes into some parchment paper and it slides between the warming plates. The jack works slightly better on the ground but it’s fine on a sturdy shelf as well. I was amazed

each press got a little better and each press yielded between .6-.9g
The Tangerine Dream almost gave me a panic attack (too much sativa % for me) but the Gorilla Glue was VERY mellow, goes down smooth and tastes amazing.
I think this thing is going to keep me busy, I love it!

Nice! Looks like a quality piece of equipment...
I don't know much about rosin, except that it is real pricey at the dispensary.
I'll bet a little of that stuff goes a long way!

I tried to buy a dab press brand but they were way behind with shipping. This one seems like it’s going to work great, has a 1-3 year warranty on all the parts, very solidly made. WAY easier than I imagined. Great terpene taste, captures the aroma very well in the taste.
I hate trimming lower bud growth, this is way more fun lol

The 2 Carcass LRx In soil are loving outside the most. Both look to be in preflower, the 2 GG plants are still just getting taller and wider. The LRx plant in the turtle pond didn’t die, and looks to be in preflower as well. The roots are stable and healthy and it seems to get what it needs from the pond water.
Indoor ladies are thriving as well- WCC

everyone indoors is finally well into flowering, it’s going to be a busy August.
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking.

The second GelatOG auto cutting is still alive as well, though it didn’t get the growth spurt the other one saw. Still makes a decent little plant for the windowsill, and it’s already flowering

They all look excellent- and the pond plant evidently loves that green murky water (and the accompanying turtle poo) :)
I'm going to start that WCC seed you sent me in about a week, when my Gelat.og comes down- it should fill the box pretty well by itself, if it grows as well as yours !

I had to bend and wire the tops on the WCC cause they just kept getting longer. Now it’s making these really cool bud formations, the whole plant is crazy and very productive.

Beautiful plant!
Yeah, that one should be a great one for a single plant grow- might take a little work to keep it short enough, but that's part of the fun!

Is that a Dungeness crab?!?!?!?!?!?! OMG, my fave, hands down. 30 yrs as a cook/chef and that blows all other crab away. Very nice
That particular one is a red rock crab (that’s all we caught yesterday) if you haven’t tried one it’s a bit sweeter, has almost a lobster taste if it’s not overcooked. On a normal day though, dungeness is definitely what we are going for, and they are very tasty up here where the water is nice and cold.

I took that GelatOG clone and gently up-potted it, hoping it may stretch/veg a bit more before it’s into full flowering. It’s about 10 days behind it’s mother so I’m hoping to catch it at the perfect time. It’s whole purpose is an experiment, so I’m seeing what else can be done when I do what’s not supposed to happen.
