Stinky Snid's Nursery & Flower Shop - Welcome To My Perpetual Adventure

:cheertwo: January 21st Update :cheertwo:

It's finally the weekend, hope you have an good time on this mild winter's day. I am stuck at home with a knee that's still on the sprained side of things. My new skis are just sitting idle waiting to hit some snow, hopefully next week. :amen: The garden is getting more attention these days since I've got nothing else to do. Not sure the girls are happy with that, but it's keeping me busy for at least an hour a day. I try to water at least 2 autos a day and one photo. But on an update day it's a full on manicure and spa service. Got to have my girls looking proper for their update... Eh. Here's another one from the garden to you all, enjoy :Namaste:

Notes ~
Topaz is on an amber alert, I have spotted a few on her tops. Mids are still milky and clear. I'll wait till she's dry, two days, then I'll flush her for her pre harvest clearing. Emerald not far behind will have one more full feeding with overdrive in the next couple days. As is the same with Sapphire. Sapphire is the healthiest of the gang and is packed with trich covered buds. Her aroma is also the most lemony, with Topaz as her competition. Amethyst and Ruby are just about a week behind. They'll be the last to be chopped but will benefit from their own lights soon. Another handful of dead leaves removed, I'm making trimming alot easier I guess...

Notes ~
Ole Margy is just gorgeous, an amazing Odor and so so kissable. OK ok skip that last part. But wow what a lady she has become. Her huge buds are so plump already, I can only imagine the girth in a few more weeks. Basically there's no popcorn, her ultimate food tube has made everything so big. I have never seen such big nugs within a canopy with next to zero light exposure. It's going to be a chore prying her open to get light In there, so I may add a few cfls on her sides if I can manage the space safely. She's got a few spots of phosphorus deficiency, which has hopefully been addressed with her last feeding and then today's.

Notes ~
My first sativa dominant strain attempt is going well so far. Stretch is not as severe as I anticipated, I've been able to keep things levelled out. I'm counting around thirty viable colas, with the four mains being the largest of course. But everything else will be of similar size Colas once it starts to build. I pulled a few light deprived leaves and tucked a few others.

20170121_104134.jpg

Notes ~
My super Jedi trainee is making her master very happy. Leia has not missed a beat with her new growth development. Many smaller shoots should be able to reach up with the mains, I've suppressed her four main stalk as much as possible at the pots edge. We'll see if that is enough to keep things level. No signs of any issues :wood: yet, her best days are still ahead :thumb: she's already putting off trichomes and a slight aroma. I'm so excited to watch this legendary strain come to term.

20170121_103527.jpg

20170121_103549.jpg

Notes ~
Growth is moving fast now, I've continued to suppress the main stalks to allow the new shoots to catch up the best they can. Lots of small shoots are emerging from the canopy's mid section. I removed 4 huge fan leaves from her under belly, the stems were as thick as the stalk it was attached to... Her light hue is shading back to solid green and her mini buds have now formed. We're on our way now my young Jedi padewan, the force is strong with this one.

Happy to see you all again...till next time

Looking nice and plump ruby is lol
They all look delicious

anything that occurs in nature cannot be unnatural!
:Namaste:cannoisseuras, I'm eagerly awaiting these white Widows. Won't be long now, just a couple more weeks. :high-five:

Always a pleasure to check in with Snids girls. Looking stellar as always.
Keep em frosty ya'll
You go it Pennywise, their glad to have the audience. Little socialites they are, they love the spotlight. :thumb:

That was a fabulous review, especially when you mentioned "kissable." I laughed out loud on that one. Marge is killing it, will you shape her as you go?
Shes a free spirit, with buds like that she can run rufshod all over my training if she wants. All I can do is try to spread her open, but buds keep filling in all the gaps as I do so.

This liberty haze has been a dream to grow. I've fed her with every feeding at more or less full strength. I'm using AN for the entire process, save the calmag and silicate, bit I've not had to dial it back at all. Training wise she has been very resilient too, no issues with slowed growth. She's been a perfect non Jedi padewan, no worries oldschool. Make em big and beautiful for us, good luck brother :thumb:

Hey snid what a grow , how have I not stumbled upon this sooner! Those widows are almost there looking great.
Welcome to Stinky Snid's flower shop, it's a little corner of paradise. To me at least :Namaste: glad you've found us, the widows are always in need of an audience. They've been through alot and now it's almost time to send to the chopping block. It's been one hell of an interesting grow. :thanks:

I like the lowball estimates. That way when I do get 2oz per plant I'm extra jubilant. I could use that 10oz for the stash. I've still got close to 5oz from the photo run, these will be done in a couple weeks and then the corkscrew is set for 5 or 6 weeks. That should get me through the winter :lot-o-toke: deeeeeaah!

:cheertwo: January 27th Update :cheertwo:

I'd like to start by mentioning that I started a new thread for the many questions you have or will pose to me. I've been going through my post's and pm's to find the great questions that I have attempted to answer throughout the past year. And also some that I've asked along the way too. I'm halfway through reading this journal from the top :)
And what a ride it has been :adore::circle-of-love:thank you all for being here to share this adventure with me. :Namaste: Everything from food poisoning to mould to lost seedlings due to bugs... All that was in preparation for me to lend some helpful and hopefully correct advice to the best of my ability.
If you have questions about training, nutes or whatever, post them here in my journal as you always have:thanks: and I'll likely be reposting it to my FAQ thread. Or you can post the questions on the FAQ thread I've linked below. :Namaste:

Ask Stinky Snid Anything - Sharing Knowledge 420Style

Please feel free to re answer the questions asked there, I'd like it to be an encyclopedic area with just information. So please don't fill it with 420 banter, I'd love for you all to sub up and see what I may have overlooked. Hope it's a positive way to put all the great questions in one spot.

OK then, enough of that... Humidity is up slightly due to warmer weather and rain. Temps are still in the same range, getting a little cool at night. I've kept up with quite a few journals this week, and I have to say. This grow family is rocking this little grow thing of ours. So many amazing strains, styles, and of course budporn. Without further delay, Let's see this week's update! :cheertwo:

Notes ~
Emerald is getting close now, not many white pistils are visible. I'm on amber watch these days but still none to be found. Her tall Colas are nice and thick too. Ruby has a little while longer, I'd guess another week until flush. Her buds are more slender, not as much weight is going to come from this one. Sapphire is looking much more like the WWA plants I grew in the past. Nice, solid, Fair sized buds with a mild lemon aroma. Her trichs are mostly milky, still very little amber. She's next In lone to be flushed, could be any day now. Topaz who has already been flushed is approaching her harvest day. She is practically dry today, so she is going dark until Sunday morning. We're at about 30% amber... Lastly we've got Amethyst, she's the furthest behind of all the ladies. I'll put her at near two weeks before flushing. For me these staggered harvest days will save my snipping fingers from too much cramping. One plant a day keep the snipper cramps at bay.

Good Ole Margy is doing superbly. Her buds just keep getting bigger and bigger, frostier and frostier and more and more smelly :) it's a very sweet aroma almost a citrusy candy like smell. We're getting closer to the end now maybe 3-4 weeks left including a flushing. Her one massive cola, pictured above, is just so laden with pistils. I can imagine it's got another 1/2 inch in girth to go still. The days are getting exciting around the flower tent, just lovely...

20170127_102751.jpg

Notes ~
What can I say about Haze-L, she's just doing everything right. Her more pronounced buds are rising quickly and her mid section is filling in graciously. I wonder if you could make molds for your plants to grow in, creating shapes of all kinds. It's amazing how she is a perfectly symmetric square from above. All her buds are about 3 node stacks so far. I'd say she's growing near 1 cm per day. Her smells are heavenly, it's like a light weedy Odor mixed with some minty pinesol. I'm really bad at describing smells. But you know what I mean. Her feeding is still a few days away, but she'll be getting her bloom only for the first time.

Notes ~
My super duper Leia is making me giddy. That mass of buds within her mid section and the ring of perfectly even buds around the rim are so beautiful. I'm really happy with the training that she's undergone. Buds are steadily increasing in size and beauty. She's due for a feeding tomorrow or Sunday and will be her first bloom only nute solution. G/m/b, b52,BigBud, BudCandy, Xfactor and the usual silica and calmag. Her roots started poking out the bottom the other day and have since retracted. But this shows that her development is going well and her pot is full of roots. I'll be glad to have this strain in the jars, it's been a long time in the making. I've wanted this strain since the beginning but as the most expensive out there they were never part my seedbank. I'm kinda hoping for a male so in can make more of this amazing strain.

Rey
Skywalker Kush
Day 49 +25
20170127_103040.jpg

20170127_103055.jpg

Notes ~
I think Rey needs some watering, she seems very sad and is slow growing. Her pot is not entirely dry yet but maybe the roots didn't get all the way to the bottom. Who knows... I'll give her a full feeding tomorrow morning along with her sister. Buds have formed and the aroma is commencing as is the trichome development. Her underbelly was cleaned out of dying leaves and one stake readjusted to keep her from becoming uneven. She's not quite as hearty as Leia but is hopefully on her way to getting some size. Oh how I enjoy watching these things grow.

Been a busy week, glad I could take a moment and share an update with you all. See again soon,

As usual, your plants are looking supurb! One of these days i will have the time to devote to properly training my girls...it would make the difference between an ok harvest and having to start another jar cupboard. :)

Hey snid at the stage of the game I'm in with candy what other types of training can I incorporate with the scrog. She is getting very very thick.
Also your garden is great just a curious question how long does it normally take to do your updates and tend the girls

I posted in your journal, idk brother... My guess is super cropping above the scrog and suspending the buds horizontally. Much thought to be made concerning this, hope folks can chime in and help out.

Great smelling update Stinky. Lol.
Your plants are amazing. Great job.

Cheers.
Thank you Ditchweed, it's a pleasure to bring you some bud pics today. Several harvests are just around the corner, so stay tuned:ciao:

Good to see you Mouser :high-five: as you can tell I'm huge with my training schedule. If only I could do that at the gym too... But ya, it's fun to do and the results speak for themselves. It's a little extra work but totally worth it, if not just for the pics.. Thanks very much Mouser. See you again soon,
