Stinky Snid's Nursery & Flower Shop - Welcome To My Perpetual Adventure

My Bbk had a root destroying bug in her premix soil so i pasteurized the rest of that soil then added some Great white to my regiment. I kept seeing random parts of her dying and couldn't figure it out i thought she was root bound so i potted her up that's when i found the family of centipedes. I did an Azamax root drench as well as pasteurized the rest of the soil.

Looking great snid! Sucks to hear about your soil doing some bad business. Good thing you caught the root of the problem. Congrats on the dry yummy looking buds. Mind sharing? :passitleft:
I like your pun there... Not funny! :rofl:jk
I'm am very pleased with Leialoha's bounty, it will be enjoyed thoroughly not to worry there, samples will have to wait till legalization.
I'm going to get me a soil drench soon, for now my spraying seems to be keeping them at bay. Since most are just about at harvest I'm not too worried about the biguns. But I'm not liking my current sprouting odds. Thank for the support Nismo :thanks:

Hey snid..know the feeling .freakin bugs..I had spider mites..3 wks ago.drenched soil..haven't seen any more thank god.saw that dark devil you have..thing I'm going to have to get some..it just looks so dam good..
Have u ever smoked any DD before..if so what's your opinion on it..
I'm gathering auto seeds to do like a 10 strain grow..thinking of the DD as one now.
Your stuff looking good..like ur jar collection...!!!!
I would like to see you do ten dark devil's, I am curious to see the different Genotypes and the phenotypes they have. I've never smoked any coloured cannabis, this is new to me and I am excited to try some. Those are the small jars:thumb: picked up some bigger ones too:) bugs.... Meh!

hello my friend.can u tell me please watdo u mean by saying 70days +50 days?cant really understand?is that for autoflowering plants?or u mean 70 days veg and 50 days flowering for photoperiods?thank u forgive me for i am missinformed...
That is correct right there. 50 days post flip. For autos it is when the dust flower shows up. Could be for photo also. Everyone is different.
Thanks again Nismo, hey SolarEc that's correct. It was my way of depicting their age and also their flowering time. That's why it's always 70 days of veg. and then + how many flower days since flip. Where I post about autos it is strictly their current age.:thumb:

Hey Snid looking good over there. Thought I would throw in something about your copper deficiency I remember reading. Apparently you can soak dimes or quarters in water since they are made up of like 90% copper? I am not sure if this was Canadian money or not but you must still have some old pennies laying around haha. Another thing was a copper based fungicide that you could spray on foliage which contained copper sulphate. Hope you can get that issue to reside either way, will be looking forward to see what you figure out.
I've got a huge jar of pennies since Canada eliminated them a couple year ago. If I should soak them, Should I clean them first? I don't think it's going to be necessary for Winnie but I will now have something I can use in the future. Thanks Dick :Namaste:

Hope you don't mind me posting here too... Guys if you would hit the first link in my signature and hit "like"... it sure would be appreciated... May you all have a blessed and green day.....:circle-of-love:
Good luck my dear, thanks for promoting the sponsor.

Lo Snid, a french word spelt backwards ah very clever & confused the feck out of me :thumb:

Mmm sorry to hear you are experiencing some problems here 'n' their i'll have to spend some time thinking about this, i'll get back to you at some point to see if i can lend a hand.
It's very kind of you Fuzzyduck, problems are minor and manageable for now. Definitely let me know if you find anything amiss here at the shop. I hate bugs, I'm waging a time limited, scope limited kinetic action against these buggers. Aka war! I just need to upgrade my arsenal. Cheers Fuzzyduck :Namaste:

My jaw dropped when I saw your trimming skills, wow, what a beautiful sight to see. Just so captivated I had to leave a message. Very hopeful for me...keep sailing...:surf:
Made it look nice for you all to gawk at, I'm a budporn fiend aswell. Haha, I like big buds. But these weren't towers like Maria's, they are more dense up top and each budsite was thick and hard aswell. There was Good light penetration on most of them. :thanks:

Sorry to hear your plants suffered an untimely death. *moment of silence*
Great harvest and you still have some beauties growing. Well done!
It's sad and annoying yes, but it was bound to happen. Spring is here with all its glory and insects. I'll get it taken care of before long. Just waiting for these bunch of ladies to finish up. :thanks:

Thanks for the advice, I will note that down. What do you mean by pasteurize is that letting it cook?

That's great info!!! Thanks for passing it along
Definitely is...

My pleasure, i ran into so many problems on my first grow i had a really steep learning curve.
Sure is, the smallest of problems can become disastrous if left unchecked.

i want one of them.......
Yes sir:Namaste:

Hey right on, those pennies are still worth something at the bank regardless :) I personally would clean them first.. Who knows what else is all over that dirty money right? Maybe just a quick bath in some mild mild dish soap and water or even a baking soda clean? Something that wont hurt the plants of course. Even if you had a piece of copper pipe laying around im sure that would work just as well. I'm not sure if this is something that really works but I did read it somewhere, so who knows. Might be something to experiment with

Try soaking them in vinegar for a few hours they will look like new.

I couldnt figure out the multi quote thing Snid but yeah i got out a 5 gallon stock pot filled it half full of soil and heated in my camp stove outside to 200 degrees for 10 minutes it took a bit but that soil was expensive so it was worth the time.

May 28th, Daily Update

Well it's been an all 420 kinda of day. I'm caught up on all my subscriptions, I fell asleep 3 separate times while reading journals.:snooze: I won't mention which ones  it was great to get to see so many young plants and mature buds and everything In between. Truly a magnificent site to Behold, growers and plants from all around the world. It's hot and humid outside this weekend, luckily it's keeping cool enough in the Tents although Humidity is on the rise still. Thanks you guys for supporting my twilight led post, you're all so wonderful. :circle-of-love:

Notes ~ Nanner police has detected another one on Tyrone, I've also just plucked a semi formed one from Alani. Both are getting chopped once their pots have become dry. Ariel is nearing her her harvest day as well, one more flush tomorrow then it's the :surrender:lap heading for the checkers. Chloe and Chanel needed that feeding, they were ultra dry this time, I even added a 500 ml of water to get runoff after my nute mix wasn't enough to achieve runoff. Lucy is starting to show how big her buds will be, use your imagination and fill In the blanks. Jawsephine is responding well to her restraints and Hubbabubbasmelloscope is not dead by way of bugs.

Looking good over here as usual Snid :) Great pictures of the nanners, it was relatively easy to spot from a bit of a distance. I myself have not ran into this issue yet so it's good to see :wood:
Loving the auto tent lately, lots of nice colors and tasty looking buds in there. Keep it up my friend! :high-five:

With all the talk about bugs thought I'd say that I always drench my soil with neem Before I plant anything into it..pretty much eliminates bugs right off the start.then u can re apply once in awhile. .and yes I know some talk about build up of oils in the soils. .BS
Well I personally don't find it a issue at all..
I use it..How do my plants look..from seedlings to big mommas.
No negative effects what so ever..
So try it you'll like the lack of bugs..peace

That's what I'm thinking for when I make my next large batch soiless mix. For now I am just mixing enough for one pot at a time, nothing is sitting around for months like that again.

Thank you kindly Dick, those nanners are pretty bright and yellow. Unless they're inside the buds or hidden under a leaf, it's fairly obvious that it's a nanner packed inside a calyx. Once you've seen one up close, the premature ones are easy to spot also.

Snid - did you take a photo of your root eating blob ?
I continued to get the odd very tiny white crawling insect (6 legs ? ) - maybe 1 mm long - didnt come from water as i suspected as am using tap water now.
Only pots that got them were the 50/50 coco/perl mix - 100 % perlite and coco did not.Anyway a spray of Eco Neem killed em dead :thumb:

1134sly1.jpg

IMG_018811.JPG

it's one of these or both... I don't know, I do know that the same stuff will kill both. I've got them under control, I've not seen many more in my soil. Anything that had some has been removed from the area. I will scrub down my tent once the majority of big plants are done. I'm researching what's available locally for soil drenches, there's a couple hydro shops that I've not been to in a while.

May 29th, Daily Update

What a scorcher of day out there... Not complaining but dang it's sticky outside. Lawn mowed, garden plants trained, grow toy shopping at the dollar store, got some bamboo stakes for my garden and little pots for my clones. Busy day to say the least. Did all the up Potting and mixing of new soil for each pot. Here's a breakdown of my most recent batch of soiless mix.

4 parts promix Bx w/myco
2 parts coco earth, from "greenearth ltd"
2 part added perlite
1 part worm castings
1 part dolomite lime / bone meal / Epsoma salts

Well then... Let's stop procrastinating and get on with the pictures... Eh?

Notes ~ T.Special will come down on Tuesday, Alani possibly tomorrow or Tuesday aswell. Ariel is up for another flush tomorrow, Trinity is about half way dry from her first pre harvest flush. Chloe is showing all sorts of deficiency, hope there's not any major root problems... Ie bugs. Chanel is a super freak, she so tall but her buds are all stacker right up. Lucy, not as much lol. Jawsephine has mad her left turn and all secondary growth is being rerouted away from the main top. Hubbabubbasmelloscope has no signs of infestation yet. Sour bubbling crack II had breached the top soil. Dropped another diesel Berry for a swim.

*big news :I think I found my dark devil seed I dropped 4 months ago... Imagine that, it doesn't look like one of my og Kush S1 seeds, so it's honestly got to be it. Wow. I was on my hands and knees for 45 minutes looking for it. Somehow it fell into the drawer and under the placemat in there. Jeepers creepers that's a sneaky ass little devil.

Winne is getting her bulk on now, Ellabella not so much but all the top buds are like rocks. Harder than any of my previous autos. Acapulco gold is in her plastic wrap teepee, under the t5s. I'm trying to get a taste for everything, I'm not sure what suits my needs best. I also like the variety of tastes and smells, plus it's more challenging to have different schedules and needs for each plant. Keeps me on my toes. Thanks oldschool, that's very flattering :thanks:

:Namaste:

Wow! Alani looks like one big bud. The rest of the plants are stellar as always but that is one dense plant.
:peacetwo:
Her bud is literally the size of an upside down solo cup, I'm I awe myself... Hope they don't shrink too much while hanging to dry. We're going to find out soon enough.

I'm always amazed and happy for you. I definitely don't think it's an OG Kush seed when I compare it to mine, so follow your instinct. Why does this world seem like a better place celebrating your grow? hahahaha Always drooling over your grow. High Five!:high-five:
Yes I'm pretty positive that it's my DDA seed, incredible! I guess there's only one way to be sure. Haha going to send it swimming once my next diesel Berry has popped. Notes ~ Acapulco gold is going to survive it seems, Tutankhamen is growing strong after repotting. The clones are all putting out single finger leaves and a couple 3 fingered today. Renee got her feeding, Mandy is doing fine with her broken limb, no I'll effects still. Winnie and Ellabella are packing on some density.

See You All Tomorrow,
