Stick A Pineapple Where The Sun Don't Shine - In A Grow Box!

Cheers, Feral. I guess I'm just looking for a way to eliminate the seed buying part of the process. Cloning is the obvious answer, but without the facilities/space, I'm stuck. The other side of the cloning coin is I would need at least 2 grow spaces running pretty much non-stop, which is not very practical at the moment. My main cab can only hold so many mature plants as we've seen. Probably pushing my luck again right now in that department! With another, small cab as "Pollen" and/or "Veg" area, I can (theoretically) produce pollen anytime, then produce seeds, without disrupting the 'growing'.. Then, the new small cab could be used as a seedling starter/first-week-or-3-of-veg to give the big light a rest..
Cloning is only one small step up/away from that scenario, and, yeah.. One day in the hopefully not-too-distant-future, that's what I'll do.. Right now keeping dozens of clones and a mother-plant or two is just not viable. I figure with enough seeds and 2 cabs, I could kinda go perpetual anyway, and still be able to shut down without major loss when ever I need to.
As I mentioned, small amounts is all I need.. But I would LOVE a steady supply of those small amounts!! 1-2 plants harvested every month or so for 8-9 months.. Even half a zip from each plant's gonna give me much more than I need...
Ah, the dreams of an old stoner... Shoulda started this years ago....

These last two are the Arjans Haze.. Looks awesome! Been topped; quite lanky but great stems... Wonder if that's the silica making a difference.. First thing I thought of with this one is "Flux". But not the Light Addict type. The "Back to the Future" flux capacitor in the DeLorean looks like this..... (Yeah; Old Nerd Alert)

So far, so good. Now I just gotta keep them all even.. the AJ gonna be the hardest one to deal with. Super-cropping! Was gonna start lowering the light, but..... Does it look like I need to? I reckon it's fine. I have oodles of height, so no probs there..
Temps are rising outside. 35C all weekend here. Very dry. 20%RH yesterday. She's gonna be hot Down Under this year...
Cab temps stable so far at approx 23-30. Cab WILL get to 35+, so gonna need to get my arse into gear and get those extra fans sorted out.. The bigger girls are drinking; stretch is gonna be good!
Cricket season started!!!!!!! YAY!!!! Great first Test against the SAFFAs so far already; Blaze, thinking of you, buddy. I hope you are doing OK. And I hope your cricket team sucks arse this season!! (They are already kicking the shit out of us, so....not a great start for us but 5 months to go and one of their best bowlers has gone home with a ruined shoulder!! YAY!!).
In other off-topic news, I am now the proud owner of a spa!! (Hot-tub). Long story; bought off mates, just got it setup Saturday. Got a TV hooked up out there for the cricket, getting floating esky/cooler organized for beers....
Very relaxing! Especially after (back on topic!!) a couple of home-grown cones and an icy-cold brewski.... 35C outside is not a big deal when you got a body of water to jump into....

35 Saturday, 34 yesterday where I am.. Still about 20 at night but.. That changes next week, according to the BOM.
Yeah, after day 1, been a disappointing showing from us.. Credit to them, tho', they are playing perfectly on a very good WACA wicket. Can't wait til the Brisbane test (why did they change that?? Temps in Perth too hot later in the year??). Gabba is the best Test ground on the planet, with the possible exception of the G.. And Lords.
They need to put me on as Batting Coach!! I'll tell em. They need to calm down and remember they've got 5 days! Boof should be making them watch non-stop Bill Lawry footage. Block; block; leave; Four. Block, block, leave, Four... That's Test batting.
Ironically, Warner is the most mature batter out there at the mo. Except for Smith, maybe. These young guys are still trying to score too quickly..
We'll get there. Should be there now, but, whatever..
Will be a good season!! I love the cricket season... Always something on TV in the Summer!!! Missus not so impressed but now I've got tellies strategically placed all over the house so I can watch no matter what I'm doing... YAY!
And a spa!!!!
 
That was an awesome spell from Rabada last night. Man he looks like a good bowler... Hope Australia get over 300, just show some fight and a good partnership.
 
We can still win; 3/400+ in 1 day is nothing any more, and at least a draw is still possible. Smith needs to stay in..
Yeah Rabada is the real deal. Experienced enough to not get frustrated, but he's good enough to not get smashed around the park every other ball anyway.. SA look a tight unit actually with a few new faces.. And that's exactly what we still don't have.... That cohesion. The fielding after the first day shows that. With momentum, we are the perfect cricket team. But that seems to disappear as soon as things get tough..
Voges and the Marsh bros are the weakest links so far... Let's see how they go... Fingers crossed.
 
When did you stop watching last night? We are 4-168.. Smith out Warner out marsh out Voges out.
 
I watched til stumps... Khawajas the only 1 that can pull us out of this.. But he needs a double-ton.. Tail starts next wicket (started at voges?), so it's him or no-one.
Loved that diving-throw-run-out of Warner... How good was that!!!??? Warner woulda been spewin til he saw the replay. Now he's practicing that move 5 hours a day, I betcha.
 
I just got about 300 fem beans if you want them, save yourself the hassle. Ak47 or the indica pheno of tut, if they are like her mum and rather intersexually her dad..
 
That'd be cool, Grizz.. Good strain to have a lot of.. I'm convinced 2 of my mystery seeds are Tuts, look like indica phenos, growing now. The fat leaves threw me but there's nothing else they can be..

Pat, didn't know you can change the seeds! Is that what you mean? That would be the go.. Save a LOT of time..
 
What do you mean change the seeds? Regs and fems are the same. You thinking autos? Hitting a plant won't mean your defiantly getting balls and pollen, if your lucky.. True females won't change sex through light stress colloidal silver ga3 etc. these girls are what a breeder would want to breed with, the lack of a hermi trait present. Now a lot of fem breeders will get their hermie pollen and hit these girls with it, so the hemi trait will be suppressed for most part. Now selfing a plant with light stress doesn't mean you'll end up with hermi plants but you might.. The trait is more present. They just more temperamental to environmental changes.. So using cs to make fem pollen from fem seeds, idk, easier ways to get hermi seeds. Turn your lights on off weeks 5 of flower...

Ha. That's what I was asking, I never heard of that before! Was early when I read it; couple of the head cogs not harmonically balanced yet..

Speaking of which (journals, not sex puns), here's a few pics just to update cos I was up early this morning and needed something to do.
(5am. Why do I have to drag myself out of bed for work, but weekends I can't sleep more than 6 hours, no matter how many beers I drink..?)
Gave a water/light feed. Big PC really drinking. Re-tied everything again. Measured the light distance; currently 690mm, or just under 2ft. Temps/RH good.
Cricket bad. (Shaking fists at the sky) Damn you, Rabada! Damn you, Elgar! Damn you, the little guy who can catch and throw with pinpoint accuracy while diving in mid-air, whatever your name is, I've forgotten right now...!!
Sorry. First time we've lost a first Test in the home season since 88 or something. And they pretty much smashed us with text-book cricket, which is a stick we used to wield so easily. With a couple of exceptions, we played well. They played great.

Gonna pretty much let them do their thing from here, and adjust training as needed.. If they grow straight up from here, I'll be happy. They've got 2 feet of room, but if any look like stretching past 300 or so mm, I'll bend the branches. End of stretch, I'll re-tie into some sort of level canopy, and hope the PCs don't stink up the joint too bad.. Can smell the big one now up close.. Sort of spicy/sweet/weed smell.
