Hey, Grizz... Just a cheapy COB from "China". Dimmable 2 X 100watt Cree chips; supposed to be more natural spectrum white light.
Supposed to be about double the lumens of my old Reflector.... It is VERY bright. I'm still seeing the reflection off the white walls of the cab, now that I think about it! 20 minutes ago...
Yeah, pretty excited! Still a cheap light, but a definite upgrade, assuming all the marketing stuff is fair dinkum..

I really hoping I'm right about a heat reduction. It fits PERFECTLY for 2 plants in my cab. I raised it to the top but each COB sits dead centre over one plant, plants are perfectly spaced on the floor.... Stoked. Especially if I can drop 5ish degrees over the summer..
Cree? Pm me everything if you can.. I'm in need of new lights. I'm getting the cmh, but I think extra light would be beneficial.. what's your footprint? Save me looking back, lol.. thanks man..

Can't wait to see how the light performs mate.That weird looking auto seems to be not so uncommon for auto's,I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it's actually the true ruderalis(spelt wrong probably) trait:single calyx growth instead of cluster building.Most people turn them into ISO or BOH since they arn't as easily smoked/trimmed but every thread I've seen they all say how potent it is.
For a second it reminded me of that Dr Grinspoon look- the one that they advertise that no one seems to grow. I used to get some plants in my very early newbie days that did that thing, but memory extremely fuzzy on what, when, where, how..

No worries.. Yeah, it's a bit weird and there's a lot of crap, but if you look around there's some good deals.. I spent weeks finding that light. I almost bought a cheapie CMH but Fez talked me out of it... Cheap ballasts = possible firey death and/or loss of house..

Yeah, I love those marketing pics.. When I first started thinking about growing, I found Grinspoon, and read the alleged massive THC levels and thought: Wow! I could grow that anywhere! Doesn't even look like weed..!
But, yeah; like you, I guess, I never saw a grow where it looked like that..
I'm still hoping it;ll fill out.. Not worried if it doesn't, so either way, it'll be interesting to see how she grows out..

Missed the footprint bit..
Mine is 1000 X 600. In theory, This light should be good for at least another 30-50% again, assuming it really is 26000 lumens. The dimmer is handy for that, too. I might never run it at full power..

No grows with mine... Seen a few similar, and read about DIYers using the chips etc... That's why I'm a bit confident.. They are supposed to be fair dinkum..
LEDRFs lights look great. I asked him ages ago if sent to Aus, but he didn't then... His prices are pretty good, too... Bit more than I can afford right now, but no rip-off. And yeah; he must know what he's doing, cos his grows are pretty sweet...
Grizz; how'd you go?? With mine, they extended the "sale" an extra couple days, so keep your eye on that page while you shop around..
Really, it'll be a good month or 2 before I know if this light is any good.. Surely, it won't be any worse than my current one.. I guess we'll see..
The old Reflector is still a decent light; but it's a couple years old now, and I'm pretty sure it was a 'refurb' warranty-return... I just don't trust it any more after the little light shorted out..

Plus, I'm assuming it;s gonna be on-topic, as it's jar to jar close-ups of the weed I grew in this journal.. Please correct me if I'm wrong... The Mods are always deleting thing and telling me why; that's cool.. I do understand. I'm lazy.
If youtube is only option, then forget I said anything... It's not a good enough video to bother with registering , blah blah..

Hey. guys.. As usual, I'm flat out. And going away for long weekend in half an hour...
So here's the latest pics...
All is looking well. Girls are liking the new light, although, I admit. there's no explosion of new growth....
New seeds popped yesterday; in coco now waiting for birth... BF LSD and Eva TNT Kush are next cabs off the rank. Can't wait.

I reckon about 3-4 weeks left on these, give or take. FL(WW) looking very nice. Hard to see frost, but she's quite sticky.. And fattening up nicely. Quit firm already, as is the LKA ( Little Kushy Auto), which is also getting a blue-ish tinge to the leaves..
All in all, things are good.
