Step By Step Blueberry & Northern Lights Autos By Farside

Thanks, I can use a good harvest. Mother Hubbard's Cupboard is getting pretty bare. Inventory is down to about a pound. I grow way more than the wife can consume. I've given away a couple thousand dollars worth of bud to friends and family and still have over a years supply for the Mrs.
"Oh no i only have a pound of weed" lol

Meanwhile i'm calling a dude i never met before looking for 3.5 grams of god-knows-how-bad-it-is

I bet I've given my one buddy a good 10 oz so far. He comes by every couple months and I throw him 2 ounces or so. He's probably making money selling my free weed on the side.

I've sold a couple pounds of butter, and even that was at a pretty good discount. Other than that, I'm just the benevolent guy that most smokers wished they knew. I do it for fun and some meds for the wife. I rarely smoke due to my employment. I'm hoping one day it becomes legal and I can parlay my skills into a growing job or start a dispensary.

Day 42 - Six weeks in. Busy AM in the tent. The Blueberries each got 3 gallons of Bloom food as a flush. Probably a good thing I did. The first that came out was 900 ppm (Hanna scale). By the end it had dropped to 700. Was putting in at 500 ish. I'm fine stopping there since I I'm really targeting about 600 at this point in the grow. Hoping they'll eat up the extra 100. Did a little defoliation of spent lower leaves and took off some inner top leaves on NL1 that was blocking light to lower buds. Rearranged to tent. Now the Northerns are on the left, Blueberries on the right. Raised BB2's light again. Took some solo shots of the Blueberries. They look a little droopy yet because they were pretty dry. I expect in an hour or two they'll be all perked up again.

Looking good farside, with your ppm that high it makes me wonder about mine, wish i had a ppm meter, i ordered a ph meter today, it looks like the one you got, maybe i can get me a ppm meter next week. Im thinking about putting a gallon of phed water through my girls with sledgehammer added to kinda flush out some build up, then put another gallon of nutes in after it drains off. I have never gave the girls a flush and im sure they are probably some build up, i do water with a whole gallon each time and it gives pretty good runoff but it still probably builds up over time i imagine, what do you think of my idea, do you think it would be beneficial for me to do that, sorry for all the newbie questions, im always worried something bad will go wrong with my girls and when i read your post about your girls having a little build up it got me thinking lol.✌

Good update man, I love that your detailing the nuances of growing. It's a great guide for newer guys like myself and fully appreciated.

I like that you take care of those around you man. That's how it should be, brother. Herb is a gift, your are right to give!

A gallon of food doesn't get me any run off, which is why I'm more prone to build up. My last two grows I never watered to run off and never flushed. No issues. This time I started to see a few rust colored spots on a couple leaves (not mold rust) so I thought I better investigate further. If you water till a good run off every time, I'd be less concerned with build up. If you don't, or do decide to flush, what I did was run twice as much feed solution through them as what it took to get some kind of run off.

Day 45 - NL1 is fattening up and showing some orange hairs. She may hit the breeders date of 56 days. NL2 is behind her maybe a week and the Blueberries a week after that.

Looking great, that bb1 has got huge.✌

Yes, both the Blueberries went nuts in the stretch. They probably tripled in size instead of just doubling.

How strongly would you recommend those fabric pots?

I would highly recommend them for two reasons: first, they let more air to the roots, and secondly, and most importantly, they provide good drainage. If you use a 5 gallon bucket, and don't drill a bunch of holes in the bottom, you run the risk of root rot.
