OK cool! I had a few huge fans like that! They ended up going when I defoliated though because nothing could get passed em.

Dang! That's awesome. I'm gonna do it next time I run some regular feminized seeds fr sure. Not the next grow though because those will be autos.
 
1st Day of Week 5 Flower

So, this is what she looks like tonight right before lights out on the last day of week 4 of flower. Tomorrow at lights on starts week 5.

Please share what you think up to this point. Keep in mind that you cannot see all the larger colas on the other side of the plant. You see maybe 50-60%. She doing good?

In this 1st picture the camera pics up some yellow on the upper leaves that I cannot see with my eyes. It has done this on this girl for as long as I can remember. Should I be concerned? On second thought is it that maybe the LED's are slightly bleaching the top fans?

Right at 50% is where the room has been riding for the last week or so. I don't have a small dehumidifier so if it climbs anymore I'll take care of it for sure. I do have an AC in the room connected to the grow room that has Dry Mode so maybe I can try that too.

Starting week 5 tomorrow. The seed shop says the flowering time is 8-9 weeks. Can she really have 4-5 more weeks?

She has a very bright future eh? You around like day 55 from seed? Is she a 8-9 week finisher?

She is exactly 61 days old from seed today. Seed shop says 8-9 week flower time. The colas have grown a lot in the last 2 days and I think the spurt is still going.

Tomorrow she gets fed her first dose of ChaChing in with her diet. That's supposed to bring out essential oils and trichomes.

I have FANtastic air movement during lights on but you made me think I may want to step up the air a bit during lights off because I have it pretty low at that time. Good call Stage!

Thanks for the sub JBUptown.:welcome:. Thanks for the kudos on the grow too! Yea, it's for real my first grow lol. While I'm very very happy with her to this point I sure learned quite a lot and I'm damn lucky for the internet several times during veg! It's a wonder she has done as well as she has to be honest. I fukd up when I started her by not prepping the soil straight from the bag and it has caused me issues that I'm still dealing with. I added no additional perlite and the soil compacted hard as hell and I really needed to add some dolomite to this biatch. I drowned the roots overwatering when she was a seedling and I think I caused some peat moss in the soil to decompose and make my soil go acidic no matter what I do. I have to flush her out about every 2-3 weeks and theres just no way around it. Even feeding her straight RO water she goes down in the high 4's to low 5's. a few weeks after a 15 gallon flush. To be honest I just now sat down after flushing the crap out of her. She should be good until the harvest flush now.

I started another seedling a few weeks behind her that's in flower now except I prepped the soil correct this time and that grow has been 100% flawless and it's 2 weeks into flower. Havent had to flush once and no problems to speak of. Using the same nutes and water too lol. My oh my what prepping the soil correctly will do! :thumb:

Back to this grow..
Before I started I read what was probably equivalent to a large novel before I started so that helps but not like hands on that's for sure! I figured it's my 1st plant and I may ruin her anyways so figured I would practice on her. I went ahead and learned how to top her and then topped her again. Supercropped and defoliated a few times lol. What the hell right? Well, she has rewarded me greatly as far as I'm concerned. I know her final yield could have been bigger but I learned for next time.

I've invested lots of $$ in good lighting so when the grow room is freed up I'm gonna bomb the shit out of it with 70+ actual watts per square foot of Advanced LED and run 4 or 5 autos. Should be interesting.

Well, like I said. I just flushed the crap out of her with 1tsp per gallon sledgehammer (about 15 gallons) and then another 8 gallons of straight RO water followed by 2 gallons of RO/nutes phed to 7.0 so now I'm pooped.

I have to ph to 7.0 to keep it in range. 7 is pretty good in flower anyways but at least now my soil is testing from 6.7-6.9 and my runoff is coming in at 6.8. Earlier today the soil tested at 4.9 at the bottom of the pot and the leaves were showing me the signs again so I gotter done! I wanted to put this flush off as far as I could so I wouldnt need to do it again until harvest. This bitch has been one lol. Ive fought her from the 1st week of veg and I'm gonna carry her the rest of the way but at the same time I'm glad shes getting close! It will be nice when I can take what Ive learned to the next grows so I can then learn some more lol...
 
Ended up flushing her last night. She was showing signs of lockout. She was in good shape but showing signs. Soil down low in the pot tested as low as 4.9 pH!
This whole pH issue with her was due to my lack of soil prepping knowledge at the start even though I always water/feed to 15-20% runoff.
Anyways shes in great shape now.

Ive been putting this flush off as far as I could so I can now get to the harvest flush before doing it again.

Heres some pics as of this morning and the trichomes show 50/50 clear cloudy to my eyes.

Actually the breeder said 7-8 week flower in one sentence and then said 8-9 weeks in the following sentence so hell IDK lol.

I would like all of your input on this as well. A little couch lock is ok with my but I don't want 100% amber either. I'm thinking maybe start flushing once she first hits 100% cloudy and maybe if done that way by the time final flushing is done I'm hoping to chop her with 75%cloudy 25%amber.

I think she still has 2 weeks? Maybe? That may not be too far off because that would mean starting the final flush at 7 weeks.
Looking at the trich's with my eye in the scope right now it's actually probably a closer average of 60%clear 40% cloudy when looking in different bud sites.

You guys agree with my guesstimate on the timeline here? I think she may do some more swelling up too, what do you guys think?

Shes 5 weeks and 3 days in right now.
 
By the way. I get a really strong citrus smell along with some piney and to me she just smells like she will be smooth as hell. To my girlfriend however it's totally different....How the hell is that? She said today that to her she gets what I'm saying about fruit/pine but she thinks more than anything it smells like "fresh ocean air"???? Ive never heard that description!

My 2 cents say let her go to 8 weeks,check the trics then flush from there. I don't grow in soil as you do so i believe two weeks flush would be about normal?
If so then you should likely begin flushing in two more weeks like you said.

yup yup. Flushing in 2-2.5 weeks from now should be close. 2 week long flush should do it. Thanks Stage!
 
Ok, so me and the girlfriend just went back to the growroom to try something. We each slightly squeezed one of the smaller buds to smell it again. This time we 100% agree on the scent. Actually getting some of the oils on our fingers really really made the scents come out...

We both agree that it smells really strongly just like 80% Vicks vapo rub with 15% Sandlewood and 5% pine..

Vicks vapo rub....Really? Not kidding, it's just like it.
