Starting A Continuous Harvest Grow - Need Advice

Also can a method of plant training be encoded into a pheno type? Like can I genetically breed a plant that naturally grows for example a mainline type of growth patterns or quadlining,or lollipop?

This plant is legit mainlining itself....I've done nothing to tie off these branches. It's doing it on its own....could those growth tips pointing down be part of a genetically encoded plant training method bred into the plant by breeders ?

In the pics I posted the plants I'm running rn one of them seems to mainlining it's self, all I have done is top these plants but this one looks like I been tiring it down in a mainline method look.....

Why would a plant do this without any prompting...it would have to be in the genetics ..either intentionally some how or accidentally thru some type of evolution or adaptation....right?

Just curious.
Is that the true color?
Or is just the camera making them look yellowish? :Namaste:

No it's the lighting and the camera...altho they not very dark they not as yellow as they appear,I discovered in previous posts this is happening and did a lil comparison but they are also fairly light colored tho cuz they just got transplanted into fresh soil from a 24 oz pot. I was waiting for them to show sex before I transplanted and they ended up taking8 wks to show. I feed w soil and compost teas until flower and really wanted to avoid feed so early w nutes and nuking my microbes so I let them get a bit more hungry than they should be but ...give them a few days to settle in and they be right as rain

But I have been eyeing the color and they not as dark as I like,I've been watching and they are getting darker as they settle so I not too worried but if it is a early tell what would you think would effect coloring all over like that ? Aside from nitrogen def wouldn't be pH related? Unless I locked out but I don't see other signs......all I can do is watch m wait rn see wat she gonna do but definitely a sharp eye bro ....

It’s the lighting and the camera.
It’s a common occurrence.
They should be fine.
Thanks.

Too much of one nutrient can make nitrogen harder to uptake.
Not sure of your mix.

What are you thinking ? What you seeing ?
They should be a lush green.
They look yellow but the light and the camera make it look yellowish.

Yup lol that's was my first thoughts as well .....if it does end up being a early tell it would be my mix you right. I've run this for a few years so im not worried just yet but it could be a ratio thing ...I'm working with much less soil than I'm used too I could have gotten the ratios wrong cuz I'm used to more dirt....but so far it's nothing to sweat.......but if you pointing it out as a point of interest like I did I' might start sweating it a bit lololol

Just keep an eye on it.
You can feed nutrients without killing your microbes.

Yes the cam n light make it seem worse than it really is and they are slightly light green and darkening. they show only signs of health and they are still pounding water, growing quickly and adjusting to transplant very quickly (24hrs since transplant at 3pm-ish) but I'll get some lights out w flash pics, its the easiest way I know of to get a decent shot of the health no matter camera or lighting in veg. If it is a early tell we ready but I'll bet we all just have sharp eyes and anxious minds.......hopefully lololol

one can do a natural scrog- no net - just taking the fans leaves of stalk during early veg stage (only taking fans @) on stalk at node site) you can only do this to get a good 10 stalk scrog (big) but one has to watch and make sure your leader stalk doesn't get "stuned) making the other lateral stalks take over the "lead" there is a art to it - letting the 2nd set of lateral branches grow before doing it on the next set of fans (generally just 2 leaves) max 5-6 x's before your main stalk is effected (little growth But it's letting all the lateral branches to get even to the main stalks height (process takes 3weeks)

Yes I like the scrogg I really do but it's such a pain when chop comes or if I need to move the girls ...so last few runs I been experimenting with safety pins and metal plant ties and I noticed they if the tops where long enough(meaning enough veg time) and I strategically schwazzed and adjusted with safety pins the plants grew into the gaps w minimal coaxing, not always minimal but mostly they filled right in and I still got a scrogg ish effect. I want to show y'all the way I do it n see what y'all think. I posted pics of me last harvest a few posts ago, it shows what it looks like .

That's what I been trying to do too,I try to keep those main stem tops topped while I do a mini veg lollipop and focus growth to the secondary branches that show vigor. I don't top them until they within a in or less of main stem then I top everything at once. It's a fairly uninvolved process for me if I start early.

these almost even
IMG_20241203_163613.jpg
started the process in veg

will veg another 2 maybe 3 weeks depending on growth
