StarKiller OG, Rockwool, Ebb & Flow, 1200W LED, 2016

Because your plants are amazing!

That light is powerful!
The coverage on it is 8x4 with a light mover correct?

Thats a pretty large area for me and with 1 light able to fill that whole space thats very ideal considering it only pulls...5 600watts?
And is comparable to a 1000w
(so they claim of course)
Thats what i use now actually less!!!

But where cobs have the advantage for me is and i know watts isnt whats important but hear me out...
I use a 600w hps now

say i got 600 watts of cobs (@50 watts a cob)

12 cobs that i could
mix the spectrum of
Spread out as far as mounting them as opposed to 1 light AND
I could also spit my lights up into 2 separate or 3 separate tents drive them a little harder of course and bam more production in more tents as opposed to leaving all my eggs in one tent lol

But then i look at your journal and see what that light is doing and i just wanna play with it!

I like the flexibility with the cobs but the price point is way higher!

Ive been reading to many fanleaf projects and if jimmyjames is around it makes it even harder to not choose cobs! Lol

Cobs are awesome I just dont have the money for them. Only cuz if im gonna build a cob set up I want a good one that I wont have to upgrade in a few months

Thats my thinking
if i go through with cobs its going to be the last light i buy for a while!

Besides the occasional driver to possibly split the cobs between different tents.

Id like to have 1000 watts of cobs between 3 tents
1 veg 2 flower.

But thats gunna be expensive
for now my goal is a light system that allows me to grow during the summer without too much effort in regards to dealing with heat.

With results similar to my hid

Rapid led had a pretty solid 3 cob set for 300 american
only thing i didnt like was the single heatsink
id like mine to be individual so i can have more options when placing them

But for a starter set thats not bad plus you could always separate the cobs later on

I look and fantasize about timber all the time
i wouldnt mind paying the extra money considering i dont have to do any diy!
But it would be nice to see a lower price point then i could buy more than the 1 i plan on getting
