Nice!
I'm in the tropics and it still takes 2-3 years, on average. I had grown a few tops in containers previously but since I started turning my backyard into a "food forest" I've been using them as fillers and, like with MMJ, spent some money on some good genetics!
I have four White Jade that were started as tissue cultures that are already two years old and still have at least another year, maybe even two, before they fruit.
Then, I recently spent $125 to have three Kuai Sugarloaf Pineapples shipped from Hawaii (on a deal, I was able to get a 4th one for free that was too small for them to sell). It's a helluva price to pay for three pineapples but these are the most incredible tasting you'll find and don't taste anything like what you get in the stores and a very interesting backstory. I was successful at rooting all four tops (the only reason I spent that money was for the tops!
) and you can bet your a$$, for the money I spent, they're getting babied like my keeper strains!
Both varieties are white fleshed with edible cores.
