Hey Spec....welcome brother. I am looking forward to getting to the entire list! Good thing is there will be a new strain dropped roughly every 2 weeks.......and hopefully, the cannabis gods willing......a harvest roughly every two weeks!!

Yeah I am pretty excited that Ms Stank is getting more involved with the operation. I am looking forward to seeing what she is going to do training wise on her plants!

I am curious if there is anything to be said for potential based off physical characteristics of the seed.

I always thought that those dark stripes indicated a matured seed.

Not every strain produces stripes. I am finding that different strains have different shades of darkness and in some cases have no stripping. The ATF x Blue Kush that I bred don't darken up like other seeds and they don't produce stripes.

I have found the appearance of the seeds is really strain dependent. Most seeds are darker with striping but not all. I have a pack of Donkey Punch seeds and all the seeds are lighter green brown and they are massive. I did not expect them to germ well yet the two I germed cracked within 24 hours and both seedlings were up within a couple of days.
 
I have been under the assumption that seeds produced on plants outdoors are on average larger then seeds grown on inside plants. I also look for the rounder, larger seeds that are very dark brown as these tend to sprout better, grow with more vigor, and produce a better crop. But Please don't take my word for it. I am quite new to the "hobby" and only what I believe to be true. Always get a second opinion.

That sounds like what my Kushberry Thunderfuck seeds I bred look like. Didn't matter how long I let them mature on the plant, they never changed colors or pattern. Even those that I left on the plant a week past harvest were the same color and size as those harvested a couple weeks earlier.
 
Speaking of new seeds! Got my delivery a couple days ago from Seedsherenow. The strains are "Cookies n Cream", "Miami Heat", "The Trilogy", and "Triple OG".

The small vial of seeds was a freebie from Dominion Seeds.....a strain called "Skush", don't know much about it but I will give it a try!!

Hey Gramps, glad you stumbled over here on your way to the restroom! I am sure you will find a seat up front soon enough. Glad you liked the intro brother....figured this would be the last journal we start for a while so I might as well put a little thought into it.......and thats what i gave everyone 'little thought' LOL.
 
Germination Update Day 2

A little over 24 hours ago, Ms Stank dropped her two seeds into the soil. The first one popped up somewhere around 3pm and the second one popped up around 7 or 8 pm. Harlequin #1 (bigger tap root) popped up 1st as we both figured would be the case. Harlequin #2 popped up sooner than i thought she would. I didn't think we would see her until bed time or tomorrow morning.

I am amazed at how short these two seedlings are, as well as quickly the first set of leaves are appearing. With each new strain we grow from seed, we are amazed at how unique each strain is. This is what I really think is going to be cool about a perpetual running 8-10 different strains at once.....so many differences in the different stages of the plants. I will definitely need to journal these things thoroughly and take lots of pictures. Sorry in advance for more medicated ramblings and who knows how many repeated pictures LOL!

Its Ms Stank. A formality really at this point as we are married in every sense of the word......except in the legal aspect, but that will change at some point. But she will answer to either/or brother.
