Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Hey van things looking good over here.. id agree with bl and the one nukehead has ph issues. Ph going too high. Silica didnt help lol. That auto looks poopy.. no offense to you, just a bad seed. Id kill it and start a new one lol. Love how well you explain things... my perpetual isnt working the best to be honest.. plants too big and too small in veg tent. Will help me understand what i need to do to continue if i want. Thanks buddy! :thumb::high-five:

Keeping a perpetual going is challenging. I always end up cycling between plants that are root bound too long and then ones that are smaller than I would like going into bloom. It is hard to nail down the timing. You kinda just roll with the punches and deal with it the best you can. :)

Harlequin Veg Day 37 Update

I took these pictures yesterday but never got around to posting the update so lets see how Ms Stanks plants are doing. We checked the roots on her girl yesterday and saw she was ready for up-potting as well. She seems to be enjoying the 7 gallon pots. She will be up-potting the male to a 4 gallon pots today or tomorrow. Both plants are ready for a defoliation again now, but she is going to let them have a day or two in their new pots before she gives them a hair cut.

Thanks Toast! The Nuke looks better today, I will do an update on them tomorrow. Not impressed with the early growth on that Jack Herer Auto but it is picking up steam pretty quickly so I am going to let it go. Glad I don't run autos often.

I knew the beginning of this perpetual was going to be a little off because we started 2 nukes together and then 2 each Harlequins and Stankberrys because they were regulars. So for my time cycle to run like I outlined above, I should only be dropping one seed every 2 weeks. Things are getting back on track now and will be better when I cull the Stankberry male.....just letting him grow to see how he develops.

We keep good records (printed out calendars that track everything) which helps but my issue right now is that the plants are growing so much quicker under the new light so its really testing my timing on up-potting before it runs into any deficiencies. I am not able to keep them in the same size pots as long as I did on the previous grows. Guess it could be the strains or the light, or even a combo of the two, but my instinct says the light is driving the difference.

We have switched to up-potting to 2 gallon pots to see if that will allow us to keep them in there for 4 weeks with no deficiencies before up-potting to their final pots. Once I get the pot sizes and time frame down for each size, we will be rolling along with no issues. Then its just about sticking to the plan and everything should go a bit more smoothly.

looking awesome y’all!!

Thanks Jesse! Thanks for swinging through brother!

Blue Dream Veg Day 23 Update

The Dream is definitely alive! Her colors are perfect and she is growing very strong. She has responded well to the topping a few days back. Giving her another day or so before I start spreading and training her.

She got about 32 oz's of my ACT yesterday and loved it. Roots are just now starting to show a little down at the holes on the bottom of the pot. Having access to see those holes will make it easier on up potting on time.

Stankberry update coming next!

Stankberry Veg Day 27 Update

Its been about a week since I have updated the Stankberry strain. As I said previously, I overshot the up-potting on them as well and Stankberry #1 started to show a little of the issues I was having with the Nuke. She seems to be recovering a little quicker. You can see side by side comparison of the Stanks vs the Nukehead.

#1 has caught the Nuke in height, but its not as bushy as the Nuke. I topped it about a week ago or so and its recovering nicely. Hopefully it will bounce back quickly. #2 didn't quite get to the point where it was showing those deficiencies so his (will check again this week to confirm) color is still a lot better than #1.

Going to augment #1 with a little Cal-Mag (Yes Cal-Mag, not Silica) on her next watering. Overall, still very pleased with the maiden grow on the Stankberrys.

Stankberrys (#1 is on the right, Nukehead is in the middle, #2 is on the left)

Stank #1 vs Nukehead (The Nukehead is on veg day 50 vs the Stanks being 27)

Stank #1 (confirmed female)

Stank #2 (most likely male)

No, the blue dream will not catch the Stanks in 5 days. I plan on training her to keep her low since I have read so many people have had issues with the height on Blue Dreams.

I am not going to veg the Stanks the full 60 days I will the other strains. I just want to see how the Stankberrys grow without much interference and then see how the bud is. I will play around with growing them differently on future grows with it.

Plants looking on point Mr and ms stank! Very nicely done can't wait to see what the stank genetics have in store! After this JHa and strawberry kush is all run I'm hoping to run a bunch of regs. Papaya blueberry and of course the stank crosses. Any you prefer I begin with?

Stankberry is looking great, she is showing her ATF roots

Can't wait to see if she stretches like a sativa or indica

Ahhh thank you good to know. I enjoy the bluedream. Thank you for the recap.

No problem Lowded, thanks for the question and swinging through!

Hey Dabber! Appreciate your kind words. No preference from us, just start with what sounds the most interesting to you brother. I think once I harvest the Stankberry, I will start some DTF.

Stank #2 may be a good candidate for breeding, short stocky plant. Check his scent and see if he has a nose that you like.

Yeah he is looking nice for sure brother. Seems to be settling into his new home a bit better than the girl but I left her in the small pot too long as well. Its amazing how much faster they are growing under this light.

Just got the dimmer switch in late yesterday, gotta get that installed in the next day or two.

Yeah she has been leaning towards the Sativa side the whole grow. #2 is the Blueberry pheno and is staying much shorter. I do hope that the plant takes a bit of the stoutness from the Blueberry side and can support the colas a little better than the ATF side.

All the ladies are looking great guys! NL is a pretty good smoke we had to grow it twice lol and damn that blue dream is looking super healthy!

Thanks brother! Yeah I have been looking forward to the Northern Lights for a while as well. I Know its a classic and nothing exciting or exotic but sometimes the classics are the best. We will start getting into some of the more exotic stuff in a month or so.

Wierd.... How did that Post end up here instead of Other

Kids I swear..lol

Now to the Jack Herrer Thread I go

I am afraid to ask what you originally posted Chris LOL. Damn kids!

Looking good Mr. and Mrs. Stank! Loving the variety you have this round.

Hey UA! Good to see you brother! Ms Stanks plants are killing it....mine will be good if I get them into bigger pots faster.

On a side note....the Nukehead is starting to show signs of recovery from its deficiency. Hopefully the Stankberry will recover soon as well.
