Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Light spread as in width?

Mine seems ta do pretty well according to my light meter

Now 12" to the side, 12" below it's not fantastic, but what u may loose in width, you gain even more in penetration
My lower bud sites are way better than the HPS or LEDs by a bunch

I'm really only looking for a 5x10 area. Thanks everyone for your input. It's got my gears rolling
I did my math wrong on the cost of lights for if you were going to use the same as Van. You would need 4 of them which would cost you $6k. To cover the 5x10 would cost you $3k. You could probably get away with 6-8 panels in the 5x10 which would cost you probably $1800. Hopefully our input helps you decide. I can give you the build list and links if you want it in the future just shoot me a PM and ask!

Well

I did 4 QB132, and a 320w driver, and frame for about $210, $400 does my 4x4 fantastic

So I gurantee you could do a 5x10 for less than $3000, easy

Now the qb288 would be more for sure, but they need more height and heat sinks

I have both, love the qb132

When I mentioned $3k I thought he was trying to cover the whole 10x10. That is why I amended it and said about $1800. I have 304 diode boards. Running 3 at a time in parallel off the 260w driver. $900 was for my 4x8 but it would translate to less if I took out tool costs and such. I also got enough wire with that and wagos to do another 4 panels or more. I only need the sheet metal (which I use as my heat sink), the boards, more wire to use as plugs and plugs and I am good to go. I also have enough fuse holders and fuses to build a few more as well. So really $1800 is even on the high side for the 5x10 I would think.

My bad
Saw the $6k and $3k

Read Chris.....read....lol

Ya, $1800 is a good realistic ballpark for sure

The only thing that worries me about QB's is the light spread. I haven't researched it enough, but I like how Van's has a 5x5 footprint if I remember correctly. I was pretty buzzed last night ready the description. Lol
It's 5 x 5 footprint, that's correct. 660 watts. I am more than happy with the coverage I get....absolutely amazing coverage.

I have to agree with Chris, My lowers are the nicest I have seen come out of my set up. On some strains I have had lowers that are nicer than some of my tops in my CMH tent.
The lowers on some of my taller plants are 3 feet away from the light and you wouldn't know it by the feel or appearance. Still solid and frosty as hell.

Same here! Some come out larfy, but the larf with these is so much nicer than before. My Orangeade B pheno had solid buds growing at the lower stalk at least 4 feet from the light. i was amazed!
