Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Nice stuff stanks!
I can't remember who it is that always smokes joints. Might be @Norcaliwood or @PotChimp , but hell if I can remember. Maybe if one of em reads it and happens to be the person I am thinking of, they can make a good recommendation. I don't know if people generally get the flavor of their cannabis when smoking joints, but it would be nice to taste the cannabis and not just the shitty tasting papers!

A while back lol but can I suggest skunkalicious papers for @Ms Stank They have diff kinds but the sweet leaf is my favour. Great glue and easy on the lungs! Raw is a great choice as well;)
I haven't been impressed with her in flower, thats for sure. I am holding out hope, but not a lot. Definitely not what I was expecting from a strain with this reputation. Might have to give another breeder's version a go and see if I can't find a better plant.
You should try the WW XTRM from AMS, by far my favourite plant to grow and smoke:) I’ll be trying another WW now that I’m out (clones for a year) Id still have them running if the bugs didn’t come.

Love what your doing! Seedsman hasn’t delivered yet but there is a dda for Ms. S when it arrives if that makes a diff in your line up? Also I’d love to see you run the Ayhausca P, since I will also be running that;)

Yeah I don't know what the deal is with the Ayahuasca Purple.....I feel like I am being drawn to it if I don't go the Sativa route.

Things will be a lot better once I get a couple more plants harvested and I can shift some plants in veg to flower. I would like to clear some of these clones out and get back to a more regular new seed drop rate.

Damn it....RH is up in the high 70s in the house today. Makes me really nervous with Ms Stanks Hindu being so close to harvest upstairs. Think I will turn the AC on up there in hopes it will drop the RH to an acceptable level.

RH Is supposed to drop tomorrow so I don't want to take a chance.

Good man. :thumb:

Those are the little things I don't do and regret later, after I've realized that I already put 4+ months into this plant, and now I let things get screwed up.

.is there a recommended rolling paper?
:rollit:
Hey Van I’m a zig zag fan for last 52 years. I have tried others but always go back to them.

Some good suggestions, i might have missed it but I Like OCB premium. I only roll about one each harvest, so a pack lasts me a long long time. I think I have some zig zag too, like em as well. I like a plain paper with no extra and burns slow. I use a rolling machine when I want a stoggie of epic proportion. I love rolling one. But my wife is the only smoker so it is kind of a waste for one person.

African Meltdown Veg Day 64

Today's update is going to take a better look at some of the LST that I do with my pipe cleaners to help shape the plant the way that I want. Now before I get too far into this particular example, I want to stress that LST needs to be specific to the individual plant. Every strain is different and they grow different. You might have something in mind but if that plants structure or makeup doesn't want any part of that, good luck!

I have found by letting it grow 7, 8, even 9 nodes tall, I get a really good idea as to what the plant wants to grow like and what shape I might want to make her. Factors to look at are node spacing, side branching vigor, branch strength are just a couple. So I let this girl grow and she showed fairly pronounced node spacing and sparse side branching. I used the pipe cleaners as restraints to curve side branching the directions I wanted and when she got to the height I wanted, I topped her and started shaping the canopy. Here are a few shots of what she is currently looking like and then I will show one example of LST.

I topped her at the 9th Node, later than usual and I still have all 9 nodes growing. I kept the bottom two sets of nodes for potential clone sites. The 3rd set may or may not make it up to the top of canopy and if the growth isn't sufficient come flip time, I will chop it. The rest of the nodes will likely all make the cut. I started training the lower nodes to come out wider and then up. This is what all the pipe cleaners look like.

What did I do specifically to create this? Easy peasy! I hook one end of the pipe cleaner around a sturdy portion of the branch I want to train. I hook the bottom end to the lip of my pot. If I was in the final smart pot, I would use big gator clips to tie the pipe cleaner to instead. You can see in this next picture where I used the green pipe cleaner to start getting the branch to go more out to the side, or wider. I then repeated with a branch above using the orange pipe cleaner by attaching it to the branch below it. These three pics show how I did that. Gotta use what ya got!

On this next picture you can see where I start to use existing pipe cleaners to tie off additional shoots as they develop

Now what did I do with the top? I told you after topping, I started spreading out horizontal with the intention of letting the lower nodes all catch up (I knew I was going to veg her for a while). I knew I was going spread it wider over time so I made my pipe cleaner longer than I needed initially. Its attached all the way to the bottom of the pot. You can see how I attach it to the top and just slide it as needed when the tops grow. Sometimes I have to unclip and move it around side shoots but its very low maintenance and easy to use.

Now as the side shooting comes out off the top node....I spread it out flat as I described above and it will create that nice even flat canopy. I will keep spreading everything out wider until I am ready to flip while allowing very minimal vertical growth.

She got a drink of rain water and a top dressing of some glacial rock dust and recharge. She is a very sexy girl at this point!! I dig her alot!!!

How long did your C99 go? Its appealing to me due to the shorter flowering period which would be nice while I have a back up of plants waiting to flower.
I would like to see a c99 grown out. Not sure where but I remember someone not being impressed, so wondering if it was the seeds or the grower.

Hawaiian Mayan Gold Clone Day 69

Gave this girl a bit of a hair cut yesterday but you can hardly tell. She is a leafy wench! Lots and lots of side branching on her unlike the Meltdown that has virtually none. She got a drink of rain water and some recharge yesterday. She doesn't have a real strong smell but its a very sweet smell. I almost likened it to a sweet basil when I was smelling her yesterday. The smell spectrum on these plants is amazing.

As you can see, I have lots of pipe cleaners on this one. We are trying to establish a frame on her but with the side branching you have to kind of let the plant show you what branches are going to be the strongest ones and then cut the weak ones. Sometimes that can take a little bit, which is fine....she isn't getting flipped for at least a month! I have a feeling she is going to get bigger than I want!

Its definitely getting grown out....just not sure where it lies on the list. I think she will be 3rd or 4th down the line.
