Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

S Harlequin Veg Day 23

Last we reported on this plant was I had to do an emergency surgery on the plant. She was stunted for a bit but is starting to grow nicely the last week to 10 days. She has about filled up the solo cup with roots so she will be up potted some time this week.

The growth was a bit funky right after the surgery but the last couple nodes are looking like normal growth. Now we just gotta find out if its a he or a she! Praying for hairs!

I must have missed it. What does the S in S Harlequin stand for Stank?

The GG is from fast buds right. Your going to be pleasantly surprised by the smoke from that one. Really nice:)

Yes I believe it is from Fast Buds. We gotta try and catch up with the rest of the group. Looking forward to giving her a try!!

Okay, so you had both a male and a female of the Harlequin and bred some seeds and this plant is the result of your breeding yes?

Yes, exactly. We made 40-60 seeds from the two plants.....maybe more. Just enough to keep us in Seeds for the strain for a while and to possibly pheno hunt.

Gorilla Glue Auto Day 8

Lets start today off with the youngest girl. We decided to start Ms Stank's Auto in a solo cup with the intention of up potting to the final pot when the roots are ready. Just testing the whole 'autos don't do well being up potted' notion that we keep hearing. Believe nothing and test everything I say.....then you might actually find out!

The RH is kicking up again here. Thats great for the veg tent and this young girl. We haven't added any additional water to the cup yet but the soil still has weight to it so we are leaving it alone and making the roots search out what they want.

I've never had issue with autos transplanted from solo cups... unless I broke the soil bulb. I had autos respond bad when I was transplanting from 1 or 3 gal up to a 5. They never go smooth for me. I've just noticed autos respond poorly if the bulb gets all busted up during the move. I'm sure y'all will have no issues at all.

I've transplanted autos into 5 gallon pots. I do it the same day I see the tip of the very first root appear inside the clear cup. Do it slowly and carefully. I fill the 5 gallon bucket and as it's nearly full I set an empty solo cup in the middle at the height I want the plant. I back fill all around the cup. When I transplant I wiggle the cup outward in all directions to lightly "pack" the soil around the cup. I remove it and gently place the plant in it's place.

African Meltdown Veg Day 28

This plant has kind of suffered the most with our hectic schedule during Poppa Stanks visit. It should have been up potted before the visit but I decided to keep it smaller and kept it in the solo cup. I got it up potted Sunday night and she is adjusting nicely to the 1 gallon pot (still keeping it smaller until I flip the Tangie x Ghost Train Haze and the Black Cherry Punch.

You will notice the spots on it leaves in the last picture from keeping it in that solo cup for 4.5 weeks. I expected worse for pushing it that long in that little cup but I gotta say I was impressed. I really hope this one is a girl!

Northern Lights Flip Day 60, Day 52 With Hairs

Its the big girls turn (big hairy girls need love too!!) and this will be her last update before harvest (most likely). I was worried about trying to get her to hold off harvest until my dad left but now I need her to finish! She is mostly cloudy with a few ambers. She could probably be taken now but I would like a little more amber to her before I chop her. I will take a peak under the scope again tomorrow.

She still seems to be drinking pretty good which is what has me worried about her being ready. I like to see em stop drinking before I chop em. I gave her another gallon and a half this morning when I took her pics. I really need her to finish so I can give the Widow and the Hindu Kush some more room. That Widow is getting huge and needs to spread out a bit. The Hindu was already big and is begging for room.

Still hardly any odor to this girl. She is really adding the weight and you will see we are starting to have colas topple over due to the weight (first world problems I know). She is just getting rain water from here on out (collected almost another 50 gallons today) regardless of how long it takes for her to finish. She is really getting frosty but she's too big for me to move to really get the good pictures. I am still thinking I will end up a bit short of the pound mark off her.

I am still thinking I will end up a bit short of the pound mark off her.
Not if those colas are as dense as those on the NL I am growing.

Well I have floppage on one so I know I am getting some weight. I am generally a pessimist when guessing my yields and try to err on the low side. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed. I am guessing about 14.5 ounces.

On a side note.....Final yield numbers on Lil Blue is in. She came in at 65 grams so right at 2.3 ounces so I hit that goal of 2 zips from her in that tiny small pot. Would definitely make me consider doing multiple smaller clones in smaller pots for easy to handle yields if I didn't have a plant count to deal with. Its much easier to plant and deal 3 plants in 3 gallon pots than it is to deal with one plant in a 10 gallon pot. If I averaged the yields out they come out almost identical in terms of yield per gallon of soil.

Yeah he isn't getting younger. He will be 80 next year. Not sure how many more visits are in the cards. I really need to start recording some of these visits. We get to chatting and telling stories and I forget.
Treasure them! Miss my best friend like carazy! I'm still his biggest fan!
