Staker's 2017: SSSDH, Killer Purps, Dolato, Candyland & Breeder's Test Grows

Getting near the end of the year, wow. ChemD should finish on 1/1 :) I'm not sure I'm going to do a 2018 journal right away, so I'll just finish her out here. Post some nug shots when she's dry. Then I'll take a break.

So, elite clones vs seed. Pulling the Headband, it reeks like burnt tire gas station underneath a sugar sour front. It's a special kind of smell, you know it's fire when you sniff it. I had a blast growing her. Despite some bumps, she finished real well.

I'll talk more about it before I wrap this one up, but of all the seeds I've grown, maybe one or two were close to this, but not better. I understand just a little better, where the metrics are, in terms of just how good a plant can be....and this is likely the very best weed I've ever grown. A very big thanks to Skunk if you're still kicking around. I could never have learned so much so quickly any other way. :Namaste:

Tastes like Headband, but the smoke seems like it has a little higher lift than your usual cut. Pretty sure Loompa said he got this one in NY, so from that crew. I didn't think they were doing much breeding back then though, so it's just as likely it was from Mass like so many of the others. But maybe not.

It's really really nice, best thing I've ever harvested. I liked the some of the last few plants a lot, but they didn't quite score this high. A good jump. And the effect too, it's real high quality. But I'll still want to pop new seeds and try new things. I love knowing though, that I can grow this out and have a huge fucking grin. No doubt, repeatable. :volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley::rofl:
 
well i for one will miss having you and your thread to go to and see your girls you could post them on mine lol just going to hang in the background nothing wrong with that sometime its hard to find time to do this thanks for all your help to I've learned quite a bit from you I'm sure ill see you around bud!:thanks:

ChemD is due for pull on New Years :) party. I'm sampling already :volcano-smiley:

Chem D day 54 Flower, the smell is coming on like the most beautiful perfume. It's incredible. Stems are wet to the touch, with oil. Insane plant. STSD in the back getting interesting. :)

Some crazy nice plants, the smoke is reeeeal nice so far. I'm loving every second. Took some more snaps. :)

The Underdog or Loopma's HB cut is curing into an even better thing, lasting a bit longer....she's really turned out well. :Namaste:

I will always love seed, but I now REALLY know why the hunt is primarily for these outliers. Grown well, they are a couple notches better than any seed plants I've run. I have maybe one plant that is close, that's it.

I'll blather on more about it when I have more data, and have cured some of the Chem D.

Unfortunately, the STSD caught too much PM, and I chopped and trashed. :(
That's what happens out here in the fall, huge RH swings, and if fan fails, it better be replaced asap lol. All my fault, just cocky after not seeing any PM for a couple three years or so. Her terps were outstanding though. I'll grow her again, but not for a spell.

Just wow. We've all seen frostier, several in this journal alone, but she'll outperform them all when it comes to the smoke. Even with my mistakes. I knew 6 weeks ago, that she would be a little to yellow at chop, but really, she's not too far off. I would have liked to done better, but with mites, PM, temps, RH, inlaw visits... LIFE... sometimes it doesn't go perfect. But, I'll take a 8.7/10 original fucking Chem anyday. :)
