Aloha 4Dutchess. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my journal! Reps! .

I don't know much about them besides reputation which is good. You see I live in Southern Hemisphere and that product isn't even available. It's well balanced with lots of stuff perfect for our plants the guys I copy (google "grow mendo dope from seed" for tutorial I am using) use it. Links to that videos part 1 are in here somewhere you should check their technique out its where I adopted the cage idea from. Plus keep doing what you are doing yours look fantastic. George Cervantes grows using your style look up some of his vids for ideas.

Great info spookie. I wrote it down and will google. I caged my yard grow this year like yours but it ended up being too small. Next year I will double the width and height. Put stakes better. And string the top for support. I seen the BIG holes you dug and thinking damn I need to make mine bigger. I use FF Ocean forest. Im a green pea. Ive got to go water my tent. Have a great day!

Watch the vid and see what you think. I think the cages you got there are keepers . In the "how to grow mendo dope from seed part 1-5" videos they use small cages like the ones we got then add a 2nd shell then a 3rd which are progressively larger allowing topping in between cage layers as they are added.

I thought that windmill was so cool when I saw it in another journal. I asked if it worked and they said it belonged to someone else. Is it a functional irrigation system? Cool either way. I'm about to set up a gravity one. You're plants have a robust health to them it's an honour to have them in my journal.

Wow, nice garden, Dutch (I assume 4Dutchess means you're a girl?? No probs there, but I wanna call you Dutch.. Reminds me of Ol' Arnie in Predator.. No offense!). I'm a bit jealous (of the garden AND the name ..!)..

I don't usually have a hell of a lot of time lately to visit my friends journals but ill sub up and ill swing by when I can :thumb:
 
Savage snails huh spookie! Im making my cages twice the size next year. Im still going to watch the mendo video in its entirety and go from there. This year branches I tucked under the first bar of the cage had no support later on so Im thinking putting through up the cage some, like the 3rd bar. I got to figure out what to run in my tent in Jan.

They are from normal seeds Jackleen. An indica sativa hybrid. But they are clones not grown from seed. I made an amateur mistake and put them out too early when they weren't getting long enough sun and they flowered a bit! They are well and truly beginning their veg cycle now. I will harvest somewhere around march.

Mate they are totally out of control. I just pick what I can grow (no lettuce cabbage or boc choi) Their little graveyard seems to have kept any live ones away funny enough. Couple slug trails through there. Mendo video is dope they obviously know what they're talking about but their music is just irritating. I suggest you skip these parts lol.

Honestly man you have more experience than I do and are older etc so I respect that I will be happy to see whatever it is you do.

Hey spook have you done this mendo cage method before? Because anytime I've ever used metal cages or metal wire for a sog net it's been a pain in the ass come harvest because ya gotta cut all that metal outta the plant. That's why most people use hemp rope or some kind of twine it's easier to cut out come harvest. Just wondering if you'd done this before and have had experience with the metal#global420 Tuesday 9:33 am

No. I haven't lmao. My friend says it's "sh*t" and is doing more harm then good. Only going to harvest 1lb blah blah blah so congested. All I know is that so far I compromised and left one without a cage which he betted a gram and a hooker would outyield Johnny Cage. I told him to keep his whack hooker and gram and I'll take the bet anyways. So we will see how we go. I gotta tell you Ohio training couldn't be easier also we don't cut cages in the method. They are good for next season the way they are.
