Spookiest Outdoor Journal

Hahaha thanks for tips. Yeah sorry a bit of background history it's not my first grow I just found photos of a previous one. Got them from beginning to end might make a retrospective journal if that's allowed. Here's a couple.

This is my first online journal.

About the watering. Yeah thought same thing trying something new keeping Soil wet. Gonna get fungus gnats etc but that is trade off of always having lots of water in soil that sustains another level of microbial life. Notice my old plant had no burning. Was using used coffee grounds mostly. This is different we all experiment.

Topping immediately is a damn good solution. Will take pictures of doing this tomorrow afternoon. Would still like to get a settlement between Ohioboy and Sneakygreen. I agree with sneaky and my friend/irrigation guy agrees with Ohio. Cursed berries!! I don't know what to do.

Irrigation guy wants to dig them out and take them in doors. I can't be bothered doing this. I think they are doing well. I am running a hot grow on purpose I'm not a complete idiot lol although I have pulled back on nutes.

Anyways thanks for your guidance and support everyone!! Very positive. One love.

Looking good, Spook! I'm with Ohio and Conradino (he's another guy who knows his stuff!!) Ease off on the foliars, and let em get established.. I had an LSD outdoors last year that did exactly the same thing with the flowers.. And it never really came good.. Some strains are very sensitive to hours-of-light, and I reckon the 13.5 I was getting on the LSD was not enough. Planted from seed too early. I topped the flowering bits, and made it worse... The plant ended up fighting itself to re-veg or flower the whole time. slow growth, 1-3 finger new leaves all over it all season.. Got some decent bud but nothing mind-blowing...

It's a hard one. I kinda agree with Ohio that you should top it.. But I saw on mine that that might not solve it.. It's just more stress.. Plus topping won't stop those hormones (if that is what's going on..)
I'd give it another week or 2 and see how she goes.. Plenty of time.. Days are still getting longer, so you should be good. But you might lose a bit of time, I reckon... Don't know about pre-flowers but hat pic looks like a 'flower'.
Good luck, dude! Love that rose! Very healthy!

Looking really good! Good luck on the harvest!

Exactly the guy whos opinion I was looking for. Ok I'm set for a game plan. Topping soon then. Hopefully it will just shake it off. It doesn't seem to be growing very quickly. Im still hoping sneaky is correct lol he has experience in my climate with indoor clones put outdoors off the exact light cycle they were on and adjusted to. 24/0 -> 16/8 -> outdoors (increasing hours of daylight 13.5 at the moment).

Looking really good! Good luck on the harvest!

lol thanks! It was a good one :thanks:

That's it, man.. The light change will stress them a bit. Dropping 5 hours like that to just above the minimum for outdoors... And your soil might be a bit hot but they look good.
When mine went south I did a lot of research online... I found a lot of growers notice 14 hours a good minimum to work on outdoors.. Strain to strain, of course. But plenty of guys further south than me grow awesome plants, so there you go..
I reckon the more indica in it, the more light you need for veg outdoors.. Makes sense to me, I guess.. I reckon that's what went wrong with the LSD. Popped too early, when it was still only 12.5... It never knew what it was doing. I had some buds on that thing for months; like, the whole season! Then new buds formed closer to real flowering time. Was very weird, actually.
I topped from about 7/8 nodes down to 4, trying to get rid of the flowers. Big mistake! Grew fine after in a perfect 'T' but slow. The small flowers that were left just kept growing.. Strange.

The tiny nute burn you got probably means your soil is a bit hot but the plants look healthy enough. Cheers for the compliment, but I'm still new to MJ growing.. Generally, outdoors should be easier once they're away. General gardening experience tells me that. They are definitely a fussier plant than the average hibiscus or bird of paradise or whatever. Even your rose there.. It's obviously a healthy plant, so there you go..
But they do adapt, and yours will be fine. The light change and the soil; once they find their feet, I reckon they'll take off. You could top whenever you want now, but keep an eye out for more "flowers" first.. Give it a few more days at least. Get some roots under there, is my advice..

A spider moved onto my plant. So happy! .

In terms of damage reduction I think I'm going to have to go with santb and not replant or do anything crazy reps for you all though.

I'm going to give a wee water in an hour half an hour or so when it cools down a little I decided not to water this morning because it was supposed to be overcast all day but it's bloody hot out there. Gotta keep the top soil wet.

Hate it when it only allows medium res but that's where I like to chill now.

Note: Damaged leaf in the smaller plant (bottom of second to last pic) is due to its swan dive into the incinerator the night it got blown off when horse soil guy was delayed. E.g. not nutrient or flowering related.

Thought this was an organic grow, oh well.. Seasol has all the trace elements your plant will be needing.. Set back six weeks, debatable with the branching she's producing, maybe a little vertical but not important... Did you get gogo juice? That's the secret of getting the microbes and plant harmony... Thought you were a vic for some reason, not with that sunshine. I've had three days of sun in last three months, not a great start. Soils wet though, won't need to water this grow

Reps for you too Grizz. Yeah thanks man agree on the new braches and was thinking on their verticality about an hour ago. No ran out of cash need to get gogo juice. And Im not talking about red bull mixed with mountain dew. Nope you are right about what you deduced from my climate. And well spotted I took a side on pic to show the branch and stem growth better. This was never an organic grow lol said right off the bat I'd be using soil A/B from h+g remember? It's hybrid.

Actually this photo doesn't show the branching as well as i thought. 4-5 cm lowers already.

.Cheers Grizz

Damn man they're looking good! Haven't been on in a while they've grown heaps!

Hahaha my "irrigation guy" is a hater...

"You may yield anounce bro. Fuk yea"
"I reckon you've got about that long (13 days) until you even start to see a demented shoot of regrowth. Till then youre dormant mate"

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Few more photos I ran out in afternoon to take to convince friend they are not bin jobs.

Oh god. Better start some seedlings I guess.

Lastly I found this quote:

When some varieties of seedlings or clones are grown under continuous light or a long light cycle such as 20 hours daily and then placed outdoors where they receive only 14-15 hours of light, the change of light cycle is enough to trigger a flowering response even if the variety usually doesn't flower under a 9 or 10 hour dark period. Plants with this problem usually readjust to vegetative growth after a few weeks. - See more at: https://www.cannabis.info/gb/abc/10002620-unintended-early-flowering#sthash.iKUOv5yC.dpuf

UNINTENDED EARLY FLOWERING | Cannabis.info[/url]

Think that's one of the things I read last year.. Makes sense, esp for an indica-dom that is genetically expecting longish days but a short season...
Your plants are nice and green, and growing. They've doubled in size in 2 weeks! That's all you need to see... Your irrigation mate sounds like a bit of a glass-half-empty kinda guy. Season just started! You've got months!
I'd think about mulch.. Don't use lawn clippings, but anything else will do.. Rake up some leaves or buy sugar cane mulch. Will help a LOT with the water retention. Put it on nice and thick, like 100mm. It'll settle and rot and put good stuff in the soil...

Edit Don't use leaves from elsewhere, just your yard, if you got em.. Other areas might be infested with whatever..

Second that, don't water more than once a week, maybe twice if RH is low, but I don't think it's your issue.

Some photos from yesterday I'll slip in for continuity.

Just gave her a water then while I was doing my fruit trees. Just wee sprinkle. Guys in Jamaica water everyday. Lol pissing some people off with that. Issue was totally with flowering we can debate all day how much to water a plant.
