SpaceF Grow 4 - Perpetual Organic - 8 Feminized Strains - 1000W LEDs

Hi Spart,
You talk about the furious candy?
Anyway, you are probably right but there's that party in a week so.... i'd like to bring some.... in case they run out of beer at the bar of course ; lol :D

I dunno man I'd give it another 2 weeks :thumb:

NB: there's a strain "Dr Grinspoon" that looks like the weird skunk you had a while ago (between your 2 last journals). It has the same look as yours. I talk about it because I just saw it this morning on alchimia.

It was actually a haze what it is is a phenotype of haze they called it a pure haze or something. yeah I know but the flowering time of these pheno is just way to long for the small return. and yeah i was talking about the candy sry crazy busy this morning.

Bud testing, Furious Candy... 2 buds from the middle of the plant, well below the main cola. leaves completely covered with trichomes.

They look bigger in the pan than in the tent :-)

Usually it takes 45 minutes /1 hour at power #2 (at 1 it takes hours, and at 3 it becomes brown, at 4 it burns after a while).

The heat is just slowly evaporating water (and may be it does "decarboxilation" too (or whatever it's called)).

After 15 min like that, I will cut the buds in small pieces to dry faster during 30/45 min. When I do it well, there is no more taste of chlorophyl at all.

Now that it is crispy-dry, i make a stick.

I grind it with my finger and whatever is hard and doesn't explodes in dust goes directly to the dustbin 'cause i don't smoke wood, only weed :-)

the white parts pictured above are not really smokable and will often form pellets between the fingers. it goes in the "wood" category (ie, to the garbage bin). In the pic below, most "wood" has gone, but i will do a second pass to be sure.

.....

It is still a bit young, very soft taste, quite a relaxing effect....

Deserves a few weeks more like the others fems (the scheduled date for all fems is october 15th approx, may be 1 week more).

nb : the golden fragments are tobacco

yeah probably another 2 weeks man. To "quick" dry I just leave the bud cut into little bits and leave it in front of the fan on my laptop probably take a few hours to dry out to smoke able.

I am going to decarboxilate the next batch entirely. It looks a nice thing to do,
but I never found any difference between a weed that was dried on the pan (i've been doing it like that for years) and one that is dried over time without heat, in terms of high strength

Not sure decarboxilation is useful for smokers?

Furious Candy Defoliated. Gonna let the pot dry a bit if it can and remove it. still young but it does not grow buds anymore. Container does not dry.... it's going to be cut in a few days.

Blue Dream (sorry for weird colors)... at least 3 weeks more i think.

Aya's Purple. not purple at all.... :-)

Lemon kush HB , may be 4 weeks to go...
d0082-002.jpg

So far I am a bit disapointed about fems compared to autos (yield) ... as of today, I am not sure i'll grow fems anymore... even if I have seeds I did not try (Blue Mistic, Orange Hill Special, Jack 47fem) ... however, still a few weeks to go and see if something happens...

Ordered Bloody Skunk and Red Poison auto. I need to see a tent full of purples ! I intend to diversify the type of container (big and small ones).
I will do an auto session before the next femized session. The current session is not fisnished yet, and in any case I must wait, so we will see what will happen

The fems now are sticky and strinky as hell... i might need a filter because i can smell it from the other room, meaning neigbors can smell it too...

DAY 84 // Flo Day 48
===============
Furious Candy has been removed to make room and to put WM nearer to the center front.

Lemon HB (younger by 8 days, but now looks like the others were 15 days ago)
d0086-0071.jpg

That's all folks...

It's all looking fantastic! Is the net a must have? Would the branches break without it?

Hi wwhateley, no it is not a must have and I could remove it now but it is convenient:
- It was first used to bend stems down, so the net was pushing the plants down.
- Now I use it as an easy way to put yoyos, and those are used to bring side branches higher and closer to the center of the plant; it takes less room like that, and side branches are higher. It is easier to attach yoyos to the net, but if I did not have one already installed, I would use them differently.

DAY 85/ Flo+49
===========

Bud rot on the lemon HB, main cola ... :-(

This is clearly due to overwatering and it could have been avoided by letting the pot dry better. Also, that pot drains too much and the Lemon HB often has it's roots in water during a few hours, more often than the other plants. So I guess it is a bit of my fault.

I hope there is no other bud like that in the tent, because it goes directly to trash.

You detect them easily, when you see on a bud/cola, leaves that are twisted or look dry and at the end of senescence or a bit "grey ", there are chances that you find rot if you look at the root of those leaves.

I've cut under the rotten part, and the "new top" of the plant looks clean and fungus free. I had this on the bloody skunk previously, and it was also a case of over watering (with the automatic irrigation system used this summer).

Actions taken:
- fan runs stronger more often (causes dehydration)
- cut external intake from outdoors, use only intake from inside (air from inside is dryer).
- no water until it looks thirsty
- need another fan opposite to the one already there....

Damn that sucks! Really sorry to hear that :/
What was your RH inside the tent? Did you let the roots in water because the pot had too much drainage?
It's good that you took action right away!

yes, eventhough i have a 60ml seringe to suck water out. I don't k now for sure. I try to water them at the same time, but a couple of them could wait another day... the Lemon HB may have been more exposed than the others i suppose.
The hygro inside is between 35% and 60% generally. It is more a question of " wet soil - don't dry enough" in my short experience (after watering, you should see hygro go up so it influences humidity in the room).

May be the sudden change from summer heat ( +35° C until 10 days ago) to the cold/wet (less than 20°C). that's 10°C less in the tent sometimes.

Also, containers of 11L liters are quite small for fems like that, next time i'll use 14 or 18, i am sure it is easier to control water while giving enough food for the plants. I feel that the lemon HB would be better in a bigger pot, i am almost tempted to transplant it but too late now :-)

yeah transplanting would stress it out to shit probably go hermi on ya as well from the stress. Best bet is do as you are cut of the area that is exposed maybe get some leaf coat it's suppose to help. you got them probes for temp/rh% I'd recommend keeping one at top of pot level while its 35-60% canopy it could be 80% around pot hieght maybe a few circulating fans lower by the pots might help to get the air moving under canopy.

AutoNight Queen Day 11
=================

Good and bad news !

Good news: it is almost ready to be topped
d0087-001.jpg

Bad news: I found mushrooms in the pot (of the AutoNight Queen) !!! I thought that July/August would be the worse months, but I have the impression that it is going to be more delicate now , in fall (rain, cold etc) ! I am going to remove them, with a towel to avoid that more spores fall in the soil.
d0087-002.jpg
d0087-003.jpg

Is it normal ? ?
They are on the side of the pot next to the door of the tent (may be it is more exposed to external stuff). Or it could be the nuts and the fact that there is not enough root to absorb the water i've put a week ago. I don't think I will water this one before 7/10 days from now....

In the other tent with fems, I have cut the active intakes. Only passive now.

So i think i need two new fans, for this tent and the other, to help dry the soil faster...
