Sorenna's - 2015 - Strawberry Blue Reveg in Soil under Mars LED

Knock it off Sorenna, your pics are great. A few white light pics wouldn't hurt. (Hint, hint)

Oh..like that!

My world:
Picture Quality: Crapola.

Your world:
Picture Quality: Ethereal

Much better now! :)

It's all in the perspective Baby. Always, always choose the one that makes you look and feel best. :laughtwo:

I totally agree about the white light pics, but this phone, the last picture taking device in my house, doesnt seem to have a white light setting or at least I cant find it. The other phone that needs a new battery takes much better pictures. My camera, that I broke months ago, took the best ones and I didnt even have a chance to figure it all out good before I swept it off my desk with my butt. lol

I have an order in with Santa to bring me a new camera for Christmas. Weeee! If Santa forgets, I know where he keeps his wallet. ;)

Im glad yall like my pictures though. I confess, sometimes I dont want to post them. lol

Thank you, BAR and SweetSue for liking my ethereal pictures... See what I did there? :)

Now that I posted that, I realize that you probably meant actual white lights, like CFLs, not a camera setting. Ill see what I can do just for you, BAR.

Okie Dokie, BAR, here you go.

Go Green! haha

The color in these is her true color. I took 18 more, but they are really blurry and/or pixilated.

Thats only cuz youve harvested half your crop. haha

Thank you, Radogast.

UPDATE: Louise - Day 56 (Day 16 from flip)

Hiya peoples. I hope this post finds you well. Im okay and Louise is doing fine, too. Mostly fine anyway. She has some yellowing leaves down low still. I pulled them off so I can see if it progressing to more leaves tomorrow at lights on, so you wont see them in the pictures. I fed her last night ~ half a gallon of water + molasses and her 25% food. I fed her at the start of last week and then next watering was only water and then food again. I think I might have to adjust this because the yellowing went away the first time when I fed her, (and Im hoping I took care of it again) but her leaves were yellowing again last night, so Im thinking I may have to feed her every time? Is that a bad thing? Feeding at 25% twice a week? She is doing okay besides that. She is getting taller, but slowly. Her flowers are maybe becoming a bit bigger and more prominent, again, its hard to tell. Here she is:

I think these look like sentinels. I hope they are watching for caterpillars and millers. lol

Yall have a great one!

Looking good, Sorenna. Have you thought about tying those taller branches out, opening up the middle, and dropping that Platinum LED a bit closer? If not, you should give it serious thought. You have a powerful enough light and plenty of space to spread out those buds. Just sayin'. I like popcorn, but popcorn nugs are a pain to trim and barely add any weight to the harvest.

Oh, and I love that this is a reveg. I about asked my boss for the harvested skeleton of a Hell's Fire plant because it had a baby bud on the lower stem I could've revegged, but i didn't and now we don't have the genetics anymore. :(

Anyway, keep up the good work.

Hi, MysterySeeds. Its nice to see you in this neck of the woods. Thank you. Im just a wee bit proud of her. Im not tying her this time. I did that last time on this plant and all I got for my effort was 4 really long, gangly branches. This time I am super cropping her. The night before last I bent over 3 more branches, the tallest ones, to give the shorter ones a chance to catch up and to promote stem growth along her branches toward the middle. Its working. Im really hoping these arent all going to be popcorn. Shes only been flowering for a just a bit over 2 weeks. She still has, by my estimation, til the middle of November to get fat and I surely hope that happens.

About the lighting, I have to confess I really dont understand all that lumens and light spread and penetration. Its my understanding from my first round of growing that 12" is optimum for a flowering plant and no closer. She a little further 12" away at the moment, but thats only because I removed that SWICK pan under her to lower her about 3" in anticipation of another burst from her after the feeding a couple days ago. Perhaps I have it wrong, but this is my thinking.

A reveggable plant doesnt have to have buds left on it. I know this because I wasnt planning to reveg her and when I harvested her I took absolutely everything that was green. She grew back anyway, in the dark. I think thats amazing, to be honest. lol

Thank you for your input. Im trying to learn this stuff and be patient about it. lol Im not good in the patience department, but this lil green girl of mine seems determined to teach me to get it right.

Thanks for stopping by.

Truly amazing Sorenna.

So, the lights just came on and I got to see her after jonesin for 12 hours for a peek. lol I was most anxious to find out if she had new yellowing leaves. Im happy to report that she does not have any new yellowed leaves. It seems to me a lack of nitrogen was the cause again.

Now, Ill re-ask my half-formed question of yesterday. Is feeding her every 3-4 days, depending on her pot weight, at a 25% solution of feed okay? She so damn picky about feeding and water and Im not sure what to do to keep her green and healthy with no deficiencies and no burns. Last time I gave her too much and this time not enough. Im looking for the happy medium but Im not sure exactly where it might be. haha

I'm not sure what to tell you other than play around until you find her g-spot. You're getting close.

lol BAR. I dont have a heck of a lot of experience finding g-spots, but Im not gonna shy away from the challenge. :;): My plan was to feed her and then water and then feed her again, but I think Ill try feeding her the weak feed every time. If I find the tips are burning then Im not sure.. maybe Ill feed her twice and then water her once and repeat or lower the food percentage a bit more.

One thing about this plant is that Im never, ever bored with her. haha

Light is like a shower head...

Can't get bored with something that's constantly changing. I'm a fan of the feeding weak plant/soil food everytime. Since I run a SWICK, I feed my ladies about twice a week. If you're running organics, remember that you're feeding the soil and its microbes as well as the plant. A little food every watering isn't gonna hurt the plants. The thing I think that plagues most new growers is caring too much. Constant worry over a plant can cause stress by doing too many things to help the plant. It's like looking over a childs shoulder when he/she is solving a problem; you may think you're helping by making sure they're doing every step right, but in reality stressing them out by giving them no space.

Remember that it's called "weed" for a reason.

And I'm glad to hear you're super cropping, as it accomplishes the same goal as tying branches down. I hadn't read back that far.

To throw a little knowledge your way, think about light like a showerhead - water is really hot and powerful close to the showerhead and gets drastically cooler and with less pressure by the time it reaches your feet. Buds grows best when they're all closer to the showerhead. A bud that grows where the plants feet are will only get that luke warm light and won't get as big as the bud closer to the light source. LEDs are fantastic technology and work well, but light strength drops off drastically as compared to HPS and LEC, which means its more important to utilize the light spread by growing horizontally as opposed tk vertically. That's why ScrOGs work well with LEDs.

All of that said, you're doing a great job and your methods

I went and hunted up a picture of Louise from her first time growing. I thought it would be fun to compare how different she looks this time.

Here is Day 58 the first grow:
