Solo Grow Challenge 2014

Thankyou Ricorico I was trying to sprout a companion THC bomb originally too and after a long wait I tried the light squeeze to help
the tap root break open like somenone here mentioned I think, well I squeezed too hard :thedoubletake: and the other 3 seeds left I was trying for this challenge were dead and empty when I squeezed them. A male and female sweet god would be a bonus for me to try for some seeds I could go bigger with

You could always try the colloidal silver method?

Several options are available to you:
Nominate a 'male' part of the plant, spraying only this part with the colloidal silver until it grows balls and use them to pollinate the rest of the plant.

Or

Take a clone from it and leave it female while making the mother plant male.

Or

Take two clones, make one male, breed them, and continue the mother plant to flower for something to smoke.

Or

Combinations of the above depending on where she is in her journey and what you feel comfortable with.

You could even try the rodelization method if the logistics of colloidal silver are inconvenient for you.

Just a thought.

:thanks:The colloidal silver is an approach I would like to try sometime for a faster way other than regular breeding. I think I just lost a Jack Herer strain from one seed that I kept cloning clones of for over a year. I should of bought some CS if I had some money.I have a clone of that herer cut from 42 days into flower that grew roots but no new growth yet at 38 days from cut today.

Well the rodelization method can also be used but relies upon hermiating a plant, and takes a lot longer as you have to leave her longer to get her to grow narners; all the while having a clone on the go ready to be pollinated when the narners are ripe and ready. A lot of people like to spread it across two crops, freezing the pollen in the interim.

I was hoping to get a clone off a super silver critical haze that I've only got one plant of, but i might have left it too late (been in 12/12 for over a week now). If it turns out to be a good smoke i might just buy some seeds of it.

Don't worry about the clone. It had to grow roots first, and now it's reverting back to veg which takes a few weeks. You'll be seeing some growth pretty soon. When they revert back to veg they will spit out a lot of ugly leaves and growth, but they'll grow fast. When I get space I'm putting in a big HGK flowering clone or "monstercrop" as they call it. She'll get huge.

Here is my only clone with the showing that ugly look new leaves and the others barely living.

this is the second time I took cuts into flowering. The plants I just chopped were clones cut in the first 2 weeks and did better and faster revegging. It should start growing single leaves straight edge like those ugly ones and preflower too, then go single ridgid weed leaf and start over again up to 3 blades then 5's. The next time I cut in flower I will try it during the stretch or at 21 days at the cleanup.
this what they looked like when they were cut

Equanimity, you can still take clones of that silver up to 4 weeks in flower. Get to cutting!

At present I have absolutely nothing to root it in. Except maybe another of those baby bottles but those are curved in the middle (and would make it a complete bastard to transplant).

If i get the chance, I'll grab a coir brick and see if I've got any of those tiny green pots left.
It sure would be nice to have a third strain to play with.

Fuck it, am gonna do it. Thanks man.
I take it I'll have to drop them into veg again and end up with some monstrosity of a thing?
Now i need to figure out a third space for some 18/6 action.

Am all excited now lol

They can get bushy, but it also depends how far into flower they went. The ones with buds and hairs everywhere will be monsters. Catch it early enough and it's easier to manage. 2 liter bottles are great for cloning in case you can't find proper pots

2 litre bottles... tbh I've got all kinds of vessels i could use.
I'm forgetting what I already know in spite of that shitty sci fi flick i saw when i was a kid that told me not to lol
