Whoo... Thanks bud!

I got a 1L sprite bottle cut down to 18oz and an 1L Aquashield jug cut down to 18 oz for my Modified entries. (have photo proof of volume)

My stock entries will be standard 18oz Solo cups

Going on what Peyton asked.. i think a wider container will get ya a nicer result. Wider roots should equal a plant that can actually hold itself up!

Eggzactly. I think of the root system as the inversion of the leaf system. I think the biggest factor in this thought is if you are out of the closet wanting to move, say, an azealia, you dig your hole the circumference of the existing bush, not just a couple inches away from the trunk. Roots need room to wiggle their toes, at least in our world they do. If we were growing cactus, that would be a different sort of thing.

Good luck everybody. Oh, shoot, I just realized I skipped over a whole page. Oops, sorry! And by the way, my name is Marion. Hope yawl don't mind while I tag along?

Actually; in may i was tasked with saving the life of a root bound cactus; they follow the rules lol

It's good to have you onboard but would be better if you had an entry lol

Huh! For real about the cactus? And, yeah, dude, I am eating my freaking heart out, man o man. Now, I was personally being really literal about the Solo cup, and am super good with the idea of the volume of. I had to ask the question because around here reproductions of red solo cups have suddenly become art. It's crazy, but it is supposedly due to some song or another.

I think I'm just about caught up here. This is just looking like so much fun! I figure for sure there is going to be a TON of learning curves dealing with miniaturization. That's just up my alley.

:cheertwo: for all of you
:high-five: for what all of you have already achieved
 Marion

1 of 6 seeds sent a root after soaking 3 days for me today. It was a regular thc bomb seed I hope to see it pop up through this mix I made to plant them in, thinking how I've killed them at this stage before some how.

Erie, please stick around to answer those miniturization Qs. I have a small growing space, re-he-heally small, that I've been growing full sized and non-trained plants in, with mixed results. After this challenge I hope to have gained enough experience with smaller containers to be able to just cram my space full of plants in a SOG. I'm expecting to be watering much more often, other than that I have absolutely no idea what to expect from a mini-grow like this.

Don't give up on those seeds fellas. As a last resort, if you are felling really pessimistic about your seed popping a root, just drop it in a small cup with just vermiculite or perlite (or both) and some moisture and place the cup in a warm environment. Not sure about the rules in this challenge regarding transplanting though. Stumped?

My seeds aint popped up yet either, I transplanted them into root riots earlier than I would normally so I complied with the rules. It's good to know I'm not the only one waiting :)

I've never had this problem before. I don't know what the hell is going on they usually sprout under 48hrs

maybe because we really want them sprouted by a certain time or the moon isnt helping us right now.Either way no more sprouted for me today on 4 days soaking. my one thc bomb did stand up without a shell but is not green yet, still iffy.
