Solo Grow Challenge 2014 - Preparation Thread

I've got some Hawaiian Skunk Haze & Skunk Haze reg seeds that were freebies & I guess they are all the same strain, just different stickers. I'll germ 2 or three of them so I know there'll be a girl to play with & I've also got an unknown bagseed that I'll throw into the mix.

Nice, very nice!!! Im going to go with my Chemdog, strong strain, heavy yielder, either this or the Great White Shark.

My first clone took three weeks, second round was 10 days or so, so I still don't have a solid set time for rooting. But I'm fine with doing it whichever way works for everyone

u can cut tomorrow. age of clone don't matter. planting date is all that matters.

but u clone in your solo lol clone in a tiny cup. then 14th transplant to solo.

That's good to hear. My Flux seems like it might not do the greatest, but it's clones are looking great as hell. Definitely want to make more seeds of this strain. Can't wait to smoke it and see what all the hype is

You know in its description, how it says that if you where stranded on an island and could only choose one strain to have and blah blah blah. I hate too say it, but IMO i didnt feel it was the most amazing incredible kush on this planet. The buds are very dense, the quantity was amazing. As for appearance and taste, not all that great. The high was decent. Again just my opinion, not sure if it was because everyone built it up to be this huge deal, and I expected so much more, but I was dissapointed. I hope you arent.

sorry you guys are having trouble cloning,I just put together a new cloner that works pretty good,I am shocked really-----THESE ARE NOT ENTRY'S,I will photo the clone chop.

6 days straight tap water 8.5 ph,385ppm ----a splash of L KARMA,and plugged it in last tuesday
these were taken 15 minutes ago,I dam near shit,usually I need 8-10

Nice one c526, I built my own mister which can produce nice roots like the ones in these pics in about 7 or 8 days.

Never in 6 though, nicely done.

Ive seen them forever,I do have a "proper"one,been on the R/W blocks last while.
had some parts laying around,took 15 minutes put a gallon of tap water in it,and turn it on just to see if it works,I never expected it to run like this,not with tap water.They will all hit the garbage can,I dont need or have room for them

water cloner like that for me takes 7 to 10 days and they got roots like that. not unusual. that's why I was confused why some people showed concern on times.

never knew some clone methods too 3 weeks to root.

and I just noticed u don't clip your fans in half.
myth busted for that one right there. proof is in the pudding. I always assumed leafs cutting in half helped roots faster. im not clipping next time to see.

Thanks,not sure what the secret is,maybe use shitty tap water not fit for human?? I am shocked also
this is my usual 5 day cutting,i DONT use a humitiy dome,they stay in an area 60% if I do I get stem rot.

shitty tap water yes. I use aquarium water for clones. might be my secret I just realized lol its 300 ish ppm and ph of 8.0 in my African tank I take water from.

I'm planning to go with seeds I think, maybe one clone if I have a spare. I'll post a picture of it's progression just before the comp to see if it qualifies. They seem to take around 3 weeks to root in my misty dome & I cut a couple at the weekend

I was thinking about what you said above. My original plan was to use clones, but the more i thought about it, the more i started to think about Hybrid Vigor... HHmmm know I dont know what to do lol

6 days. rootech clone gel, clonex clone seed solution, pH 6.0. No trimming leaves, or scarifying stems
