Im also a security technician. The ip systems now days can zoom in on playback. And colors are real. Not blue as purple which depending where sun was would affect digital.
I have a 4 camera setup with 2 2 terabite hard drives. On motion i get an easy 2 months on drive before it recycles over.
Must have these days.
I have my house alarm ring my phone if it goes into alarm. Then i log into my nvr.

I just want something to wake me up at night using phone if there's large mammal near plants at night and I can check nightvision IR feed (not disturb plants) to see if is just an alley cat or something. Not checking the footage later was all I meant.
