Hello folks I'm late 2 this so here goes.growing 2 autos,northern lights,and super skunk,vision seeds,bought from Herbie's,excellent service by the way and def highly recommended. Small tent in spare bedroom,60,60,120cm,bought from Amazon,£50,the black orchid, grt 4 a small grow.both plants in 10 litre pots,canna Terra soil also from Amazon,£10.99 including deliver,fantastic price.250w HP's light.havnt used any nutri's till last week,week 5.they are 6 weeks old 2day,nkp is 8.8.8 and it burnt the plants a bit so flushed yest and won't be using much as autos seem 2 be fine with a good rich soil.as far as air vent goes,no extraction,no carbon filter,don't need it,not a smell and nothing 2 worry about.window is open 4 18 hours during the lights on.18\6.plants are doing fantastic at moment.will get a load of pics up as soon as I can and enjoy people.

Hi mate.I know I've uploaded some pics and 4 some reason its done 2 of each of some of the pics,but wen I try to do wot you suggest, when I click on close this window and it goes back to the message, my screen stops working, as in it won't allow me 2 press anything on the screen, so I have 2 quit and come back on2 the site again. It's driving me crazy. thanks 4 the reply though

Hi virgingrower.thanks 4 stopping by.pinky I keep doing that and wen I get back to the mess,screen won't work properly.touch screen won't touch.and no PIC in mess.won't allow me to send the fucking thing.anyway I'm uploading all my pics so they are in the gallery,some more 2 do but I'm up 2 weeks old pics.just can't get a PIC of my girls in a mess like every1 else.that's why I started this 2day.oh well.maybe the probs with my tablet,although I've never had any shit like this b4.

I was planning a night on battlefield 3 folks,instead I'm doomed 2 this getting a PIC on a mess thing.this is more stressful than planning ur 1st wee grow, (only kidding).either its this tablet,or its me::

All my pics are now uploaded to the gallery,but still can't send them in message pics,don't know wots up.anyway.plants are 6 weeks old 2day and the northern lights from day 1 has always been a winner.it has grown fantastic,super skunk was a bit of a runt 1st few days,I honestly thought it was gonna make it.seed shell was stuck 2 the sprout and sprout just fell over and looked dead,then it sprung in2 life but its always been 1 week behind the northern,northern getting chopped 4 weeks time no matter wot,and skunk de la de skunk is going another week or 2.I did loads of reading on diff forums regarding the smell and carbon filter and 4 any1 thinking about growing but worried,fear not.the smell is nowhere 2 be smelt even if the window is closed,3 weeks old a bit of a cannabis smell but nothing at all 2 worry about.a carbon filter would a been wasted money.just a slight plant "green vegetable" smell in the room wen lights off.I'm aware they will smell last 2 weeks but Noway are we talking downstairs,whole house stuff.hope that helps any1 thinking about growing.in fact I'm completely shocked as no smell.but wen you touch the plants it smells and fingers are sticky as hell.

1 thing 2 mention 4 new growers like myself.I was all set 2 buy 300w duel spec cfl with reflector 2 keep elecly bills down,then phoned 3 diff grow shop here in northern Ireland and each fella told me DONT.its the 1 item that keeps breaking,bulbs go very quickly and ruin a grow halfway through,they keep getting them back and they stopped selling them.so I decided 2 go with 250w hps as the most I would grow would be 3\4 plants.plus 400w DOES make the plants smell more.so if ur in my shoes an only starting out I strongly recommend 250w HP's,and sure if you do a few grows 4 experience and want 2 upgrade,its not a lot off money.my plants have grown so quick,northern lights light red bull up its jacksie,I 100% believe had I gone done the 300w cfl,my plants would easily be a week behind.easily.plus heat insnt a prob.I now have the lamp 3 " above the plants,really close,and they are loving it.hope that helps any newbies out there.happy toking folks

Cheers bud.grt help.as this is my 1st grow an I've not grown b4,I take it I'm in 4 proper "sit on ur arse my boy,ur going nowhere" stone.I'm so sick 2 the back teeth of getting shitty deals of some arsehole that's dead on 2 smoke,but you can bet anything half of it is in his back pocket,the dirty dog.were I live at moment,I only know 1 guy that sorts me an I've stopped as each bag keeps getting lighter

Good lad cannafan, I tell ya wot.if some1 had a told me 6 months ago I'd be growing cannabis plants,plus posting ur grow on a website,I would a fell over sideways pissing myself saying "are u 4 real?" Now I'm doing it an loving every minute of it,even wen I'm not growing I'll be checking a few grows outs.peace 2 ya all

hey snakelad there is tonnes and tonnes of info on this site i found it by googling what ever i wanted to know and always lead back to this site so i joined up, the people here are awesome,i know a shitload more now and still learning i'm a newbie also,i'm on day 31 of vegging go check out my journal First Grow! great pics of your ladies btw

Thanks virgin,yes me aswel.I decided 2 quit alcohol as the hangovers were just killing me so decided 2 give 2 small plants a go,spent at least 30\40 hours reading online every single thing there was 2 know about growing,and like u I ended up on this site,and others.in fact all my study was photoperiod plants,so I was 100% convinced I could do.wait till ya hear this I ordered my seeds from Herbie's,about £18 4 3 seeds,an got a northern lights seed 4 free.3 seeds were super skunk,then I noticed I'd ordered auto flower seeds I near shit,havnt heard anything about an autoflower in all my life,so back 2 the websites 4 loads more hours of reading c by time I was done,I felt as though I'd earned a masters degree in the growing of a bloody plant.my poor head was fried.thankfully its been easy,so easy in fact.I honestly think I'll be sticking with autos in future.I'll def check out ur grows man.happy toking

Ricorico is awesome! Thanks so much for your help. Your girls look great snakelad.
The last ones look like they have nutrient burn still. Also, make sure your light is not cooking your girls. Put your hand above their leaves and see if you feel heat. If it's hot, move them back a little.

The smell... when it hits, you will know it. 3/4 through my grow last time I thought the same thing, not so bad, but a couple days later, my whole house smelt like sticky juicy buds! So the smell does come, but thank goodness we are legal here, so no carbon filter for me!
