SmokeLake 420 Poison Skunk & Steve’s Clone In The Tent

When you say stigma growing from the calyx, are you referring to that stringy thing that's clearly visible protruding outward? If so, that's just fiber from the plant. If you pinch off leaves that are alive, quite often a fibrous strand is still attached and pulls down along the stem like that. Pruning with a bladed item will cut clean and prevent that. While it happens to me often, I try not to use my fingers as often as I was.

If you are referring to something else, that is something I don't see.

You are likely bang on there. Ive plucked a few leaves off without scissors and fibre tearing makes way more sense. Ill have a better look at it this evening when the lights come back on but Im pretty sure youve solved my mystery.
Thanks for posting!!

In the first picture, I can see the discolored groove it made when being pulled. Glad it's just that, and nothing abnormal going on.
To be honest I find abnormal interesting I think a mutant plant would be fun to observe and see just what she does or can do.
However i am happy to have the mystery solved I was blinded by the lights and never thought to use the pics to look closer I was waiting till I had her outa the tent again.

Hello ,Smoke , i use 2 scrogg nets , i place the nets in my tent early in to veg , i place them about a foot above 1 another and use it as a support system rather than staking my plants seems to work alot better , i dont use them as a scrogg , bending etc i just let the plants grow into the net and then place another net a foot above the lower net , not sure if you take your plants out of the tent to water ,if so then this wont work but i water them inside my tent , i always top my plants at least twice 1st time is when they hit the 1st net and again when they hit the 2nd net , i am working with a 7ft tall tent and i find this helps me get the head room i need for my lights , nice grow!!!, ps from cambridge -ont.

I do alot of trimming -even my auto flower plants all the way through flower up till harvest , it only adds days to your flowering time , they will still yield great , especially any plant that has a 25 % sativa genetics or more in it .some people say dont trim auto`s , thats b.s. ,these plants love a good trim , it just lengthens your grow time , it gives me less buds but the colas i get are a lot bigger , the plants genetics determine the yield as long as you have the proper grow environment.

Hey Noobienot
I do take them out of tent simply because I can’t reach the back. My tent only has a top to floor door on 1 side and where I have it the other sides are not easily accessible. I have thought about scrogg for the back half of tent and just keep a couple plants mobile for access.
Cambridge not to far I’m near Napanee.

I agree they need trimming and Ppl hold onto so many myths about autos. I didn’t have the best experience with one variety I will one day revisit them.

The girls are getting ripe StevesWeed not putting weight on top colas so I chopped 3 tops and the bottom trichs are starting to cloud up. The PoisonSkunk looking like the last to finish possibly in the tent. Im seriously thinking its time for a plain water flush and cut back to almost no nutes I think harvest is a week away.

Pretty colours on the PoisonSkunk

StevesWeed with some colours maybe more so due to a bit of heat stress. Need to revamp my air flows in the tent I think.

Lots of Trichs I didnt trim yet just letting them cure first to see how I like the untrimmed buds.

Update on the Tent flowering scene!
I cloned this branch off of the nicest PoisonSkunk and it is fully rooted but in no rush to reveg I’ve moved it to a 24hr light source to get things rolling I’m just not sure what to expect here she must reveg at some point. I even trimmed a few calyx of to encourage a leaf but she’s holding back.

ThePoisonSkunks are all getting some nice colors and seeing some amber on the bud tips but I’m holding off for that amber trend to move down the plant.

Jan4th
Harvested the 2 StevesWeed plants from the tent this afternoon. My tote for drying is packed from 2 plants.... this leads me to think maybe I need to rethink my drying setup. Soon as the box is empty the 2 most mature PoisonSkunks will be chopped then the last 2 as soon as their finished. I am eager to get the Criticals and DrCBD in there.

Aprox 40ozs wet total between the two plants. Some beautiful buds The Trichome pic is from the top of the plant there were definitely less amber down the plant but it was time.
Happy420!!
:yummy:

The tent feels empty now 2 of the girls are ready to have their top half chopped off im gonna let em go and chop whole plants very soon.

Another Harvest Day!!
Today I harvested the 2 PoisonSkunk plants aka BigPoisonSkunk
17.5oz wet from 1st plant and 29.75oz wet from the 2nd plant. Some buds on the one plant died and lost colour like bud rot but due to low humidity I think the rot couldn’t set in.

StevesWeed dried down 7oz dry. It may be a tad over dry but I think it will be fine. looks good but haven’t tested it yet.

Harvest day yesterday for the last 2 PoisonSkunk ironically these were the EarlyPoisonSkunk clones from the back yard not sure why they were delayed. They produced as much weight as the others very cool to see the 6 plants harvested yielding withing 10% of each other.

These buds were very dense Im curious to see what the potency will be like compared to their outdoor sisters. This pheno is not lost yet if these buds turn out potent Ill grow it again.
Indoor Harvest 2xEarlyPoisonSkunk
42.6oz wet bud on stalks.
Ill post dry total and close this journal soon.
Happy420!!

So It ends well The EPS dried down to 8.5oz bringing the total dry from 6 plants in the 4x4 tent under 2x315cmh to 24.5oz which is 686 grams which equates to about 1.1grams per watt. According to everything Ive read this is a good outcome considering the heat stress that occurred. Ive since boosted incoming air and added 2 more for a total of 3 corner fans in the tent. I believe I can best these totals with better veg pruning and reduced stress.
This is the end of this journal.
Grow Hard and Grow Often
Happy 420!!
