Smart Pots? Yes or No

Ive been hearing a lot of pros and cons about smart pots lately, and with all the cons Im wondering if i should even bother with them. Any suggestions?

For the guy who wanted a stiffer fabric pot, I made a thread, $3 Do It Yourself fabric grow pots

I was about to switch back to regular pots, but I just finished testing this system I made with a kids pool, air stones, and my DIY fabric pots with some strawberry and tomato plants.

Fabric pots inside kid pool with max of 3 inches of water with airstones in the water.
