Hey sl . Make sure you don't fill those 7g pits up to much with roots before you flip. Or they'll get root bound fast as shit when you do them. Unless you plan on going into a bigger pot . Just a heads up man !!
I was just saying that if you fill the pots to much with roots. They'll get root bounch quicker. Which will inhabit the growth of the plant . You won't get the full potential out of it. I would at least bump it up acouple gallons size about a week before you flip. That way the roots have some space to grow when the stretch starts. The results will be Superior if you do this .. hopefully someone else will chime in and let you know ow what they think. But I'm sure they'll say the same thing UNLESS your trying to keep the plant down to a certain size.Just a heads up? My mind is grinding now. I never considered the roots growing so fast.
Last year I had a Northerlight in a 5gal pot outside, she produced almost 8 oz. Luckily I still have her in the cold buildings. I realize that indoor and out are two different grows, but now I'm thinking I may have based my strategy too much on my outdoor.
I'll dig last summers bones out and check it out, I will post pics.
Thanks
i did my w.w in 4gal fabric pots and they were similar but not quite as bad as yours above. i lost some weed too but funny how a lot on here grow in 3 gal. with no issues. esp. auto growers. going to 10gal indoors from now on. got some 17gal. for my greenhouse grow this summer. i think they may be too small also. we'll see! good luck s.l!
Hell yeah man . Glad you checked dude.Ok res,
To put it bluntly, you just saved my ass.
I can not thank you enough.
Put last years outdoor plant on the snow and pulled her out of the pot.
So much lost potential.
I should have caught on to this, hence my name.
Naw the roots just would have just grown the other way ... It would have been fine n they would still fill the space .I gave myself a break from training today, at least so far.
and thought about what I should have done different lately. When I up potted, I placed the plant in the center of the new pot. If I would have placed the back side of the root ball against the side of the bigger pot would I have problems with the root development? Should you always center your up-pot?
