Slime in reservoir?

What causes slime on wall's of reservoir,is it the beginning of algea growth?
What's the best way to deal with it because i have had reservoir filled only about a week.

Slime needs light.
Solution--block light from reaching the res.

Thank's RangerDanger,should i clean everything with bleach water and start over?Would peroxide help next time?

I have a rubbermaid tub as a reservoir(grey)what shoul i use to darken tub?

Yes, clean it with 1 cup of bleach per gal/water, then rinse throughly.
To block light, simply keep your res. covered.

General Hydro's 40 gallon Panda tank is white on the outside and black on the inside...nice. Also there's alot of black ones out there, but I agree ....keep the nutrients from the light, "Put a lid on it". LOL Lyndog
