Skunnymonster's Multi-Strain Perpetual LED Grow

Little update for tonight.
I gave the flux another defol & started training a couple of branches to fill the middle. I was going to top one head but I've decided to send it round the outside instead. I noticed some of the new growth has a bit of damage due to me having the touch of a rapist but it's nothing to cause me any concern. In hindsight, doing this flux was a bit of an error, I'm almost out of smoke & this thing is taking an age to create.

Onto KxS#1, this had a good feed as it was getting dry, there looks to be a good root system on this one, with lots of shoots visible through the side of the air pot & some big chunky ones have come through the base. There's still no signs of sex yet so it can stay in this pot until it's bits pop out, it has stipules visible so it's only a matter of time. My gut instinct tells me it's a girl so it's probably a boy, I'm sh*t at predicting anything. I pruned the bottom two branches & the fluff from the stem to tidy it up a bit then built a little mound of coco round the stem.

The three seedlings are doing really well, they love the clf & adopt the praying pose but always stay pale green. I'll have to invest in a TopLed 144x3 soon as these will still be in veg when I flip my others to flower. I'll keep the two Tangerine Dreams in veg for the duration and maybe do a 4x2 scrog with the pair of them or keep the strongest as a mother. I'll figure it out when the time comes I'm sure.

That's your lot for tonight, keep it green :rollit:

Well, I typically see stipules from the first week of vegging on and the kids are nowhere near sexual maturity. They don't change much over time just get bigger with the rest of the plant. I'm not sure what you are seeing with stipules that indicates sexual maturity. If you could provide pictures of your observations, I'd be interested as I'm alwyas looking for accurate tells that indicate the coming sexual maturity of my kids.

It's my fault for not explaining myself correctly, below is a baby plant which does have stipules as you suggest but they are not developed.

As they grow & mature they start to form into their mature state, this is when I know that the sex will be shown in the very near future.

This is my KxS#1 which now has what I class as fully developed stipules, the picture shows the emergence of it's sex organs to the outside of each which I didn't notice when checking earlier :)

I've been staring mine down every chance I get and so far nada, not even a hint. The stipules haven't fattened up or otherwise changed appearance. The silver lining is that they are beautiful to look at though so it definitely doesn't hurt my eyes when I'm staring them down! ;) ;)

Haha, I get ya. I find they usually show anywhere between the 4th & 7th node of growth. Mine would be on the 5th if I hadn't pruned the bottom set off, so it'll be showing by the 6th node. I have had plants in the past though that never showed their sex until flower was induced. Hopefully yours will show in a week or two so keep staring them down :)

yeah. i have already replied to u.please check your mailbox.:cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::high-five:
Thanks Sara, I've emailed you for your best price on the 96x3 & 144x3, hope you can do me a great deal like you did with the Mars II's :)

After last nights photo which revealed early signs of it's sex, I decided to do a better close up. This is impossible to see with the human eye & tricky to make out with my 20x jewellers loupe.

It doesn't help much in sexing but it shows the power of photography

I thought it would be rude not to show you my plants, seeing as my camera was out so here's KxS#1

My light is at 18" & struggling to cover the area these two take up, that's the only downside of the Mars II

Here's my flux which is doing well after last nights defol. The two heads are being trained differently but I think both will need topping soon.

I've started to send four branches to the opposite side to fill the centre

My main worry is this is becoming a monster yet it's branches are still really thin & bendy, will they produce & hold up big colas? Is it the LED's that's caused this? Is it Genetics? Who knows? Another worry is how much will it stretch when I put it in flower, if it's Sour Diesel the height is quoted at 3 to 4ft. If it's Royal Cheese they quote 4.5ft upwards to 7ft. Such a quandary to be in with my 1st flux so fu** it, I'm off for a spliff :peace::rollit:
