Skunnymonster's Multi-Strain Perpetual LED Grow

I've treated one clone & it seems ok now the other is still an experiment in the misty dome with no roots. I am hoping she's going through the change, that would be great :) I'm wondering if it's taking so long because of the LED's. The instructions say to do it when lights are on but I'm guessing they presume everyone uses HPS, maybe the heat or something HPSy helps activate it, I dunno, just clutching at straws

Haha, I did!! :laughtwo:

I've just been fannying around in my garden & it's lights off so I was just in the nursery. I have beauty & the beast HSH males sucking up the last dregs of moisture from their pots before they go into the bin. Beauty was nice & dry so I crumbled off the coco to re-use. They were originally in 1L airpots & then they were transplanted into 2L normal plastic pots until their sex was revealed. What I can tell you is the airpots kick ass for root production, the 1L pot size was clearly evident as a solid mass of roots & little evidence of coco, whereas the outer additional 1L area was just a few fine roots & lots of re-useable coco. I am seriously impressed with them & it gives me an idea of what the smart pots will produce root-wise. If you don't use either, get some now!! :)

It's mid-week update time for all you lovely folks. As always I'll start in the nursery.

Here's my experimental fluxy clone in the misty dome. This is good to see at last, it does root clones but it takes frikin ages but at least I know I can use it :) The clone will go in the bin as it's a dirty hermie :(

Tangy clone is doing well & I see roots at the bottom of the pot so I'll re-pot it over the weekend

What's a fluxing update, again :) within few days you'll have a pistils invasion !!

I had to wait 6 days for good roots on the clone, i use tap water and formulex, it rocks so much for rooting clones and babys

Good luck my friend, may your finger be glued to a leave !!

Thanks guys :)
Tad my friend, I do need to get some formulex or clonex solution & my plants have just started to get a bit sticky so it wont be long until I'm glued to the leaves :)
Thanks for letting me know about budstep being spotted Welshy :)
I'm with you Payton, I'm excited about those two too :) I've got another Ultimate Purp seed for the BID grow, it sounded so good I just had to buy two :) I'll put both of them into 10L airpots this week then they'll really take off

Hiya Doozy, you got excited & I'm getting extremely anxious as he's still not emailed my shipping confirmation or tracking number. When it does arrive I'll only be posting part pictures as I'm not giving away what it is :)

Thanks LA, Revert is from the dark side but looks like he's been a silent member on here for quite a while. :)

I noticed you have one of those Aero Dome thingies. I'm considering getting something for next time as an interim stage between propagator and bubblers....can you recommend these at all? I was also looking at the Aerogarden things too, although i might just make one of my own with a box from B&M and a pond fogger....

Anyway, all the pics look good, other than the clones obvs. Glad all is well :)

Oh yeah, another thing....do you use CalMag as a foliar spray at all?

So far I'd say the misty dome is a work in progress for me. It's useless with tap water & clay pebbles in the baskets. It improved with ph5.5 adjusted water, voodoo juice & the stem sticking out of the basket. My next step will be clonex solution and then I think it'll be fine but I couldn't really recommend it until I know it works perfectly & quickly for clones.
I tried a seed in it which was a pain in the arse to get out of the pot filled with vermiculite & it stretched like mad so it's a no no for seeds imo. I made some foam discs for it last night & cut the baskets off so that the clone stems will now be suspended in the mist. :)
I've never used cal mag as a foliar mate, I just add it to my nute mix. I can't see it being beneficial as a spray really.
