Skunnymonster's Multi-Strain Perpetual LED Grow

No, no stretch apart from the 1st bit in veg. My next dwc will be Power Plant, I'll take her out of coco in a bit & do pics :)

For anyone who cares, here's some pics of a smartpot re-pot. I go from 2 to 5 gal & pull the sides of the pots down over a tub

I then have my 5 gal pot with a couple of inch of coco/perlite in the bottom. I pre-mix this with some bat guano :)

In the middle where the plant will sit, I sprinkle some PM granules myco stuff

Then in goes the plant

Back fill around the edges & tamp down :)

I lift & drop the pot to get everything to settle & re-tamp the top. When watering I sit the pot in a tray & water primarily around the outside with only a tiny amount on the plants root area. I wait for run off to be seen & then let the pot sit to soak it up from the bottom. Doing it this way makes the roots go searching for the water :thumb:

nice process skunny
you ever have fungus fly problemo ?

nice tutorial bro:)....hey why dont you start off from seed for you dwc?.....i think you will have better results not having to go from coco to dwc....isnt that the same way you did UP?....

I don't plan anything so just leave me alone will ya  UP was a fcuk up so don't sweat, this one'll blow your socks off :)

nice process skunny
you ever have fungus fly problemo ?

The only bugs I get are them little white springtail thingies but not too many & they don't cause any issues :)

Here's another little show & tell :) Power Plant from coco to dwc :thumb:

Firstly I mix my nutes, 10L bucket, 5L nutes & place the airstone in. As you can see, the nutes just touch the bottom of the basket

Next, find your victim & remove the pot

The next bit has no photo's but I have the plant over a bucket & use the shower to spray away the coco/perlite & you end up with this

IMG_0006340.JPG

Pop it into the basket with some roots poking through & fill with pebbles :thumb:

Thanks for the tutorials Skunny!

The smart pot one will be most helpful when I get there in a couple of months. :)

I transplanted from a smart pot one before but didn't come up with setting in on a bucket to make it easy, I just fought the dam thing trying to hold it up and pull the sides down. :)

Fangs for the tutorial mate :)

mmmm....thinking, thinking...

That coco mate, I've never seen it before. I'm attempting to set up some sort of water culture cloning box for ladies for the flood and drain tray.

This 'plug' is it like a fasioned plug of coco, say 2" diam by 3" to look at everyones pics..or is it like peat...friable, granulated sorta, and you just mold it to shape...sorry, but I just dont quite get whether it'll work with what I want...so...I ordered rockwool cubes...I know will work, but I want to find out about coco please ...sir.... :)

...Oh and you still have the mostest shinest, and perfect plants mate...I'm always stunned by the symmetry, balance and poise of your ladies...

..Skunny monsters school for manicured ladies...

Youre a man of many talents :)

Nice one skunny lad. That's me confident to mess around going soil to hydro now. Id of never dared do that but it just washes back to bare roots and the rapid plugs. Nice:thumb:

Rapid rooter plugs I think. Some one said they had beneficial stuff inside for seeds and cuttings. But I Dunno. Any way I just sprouted a bag seed. The doctor x great white shark. In a rapid rooter now doing fine.

Just fleebayed rapid rooter. From US. ends up being about $35 and a fortnight to get 10 here....maybe in the future....and maybe therefore, I'd have to buy a larger qty to brind down unit cost.

I bought 12 75mm cubes..3" cubes of rockwool no holes, for $19...so although I thought initially the rapid rooter was expensive...well, not really, I'd prefer that sort of medium around the clones than spun rock...so...next time.

But thanks random...that's awesome...now after ....6 months...I finally know what it is, where to get it n how much!

....did you drop the name in there on purpose perhaps?

I'll say you did..n that you're a good fella.

Thanks again Random :)

Hope you have a good one mate.

The root riot/ rapid rooters are a spongy organic material :)

Coco is a good medium, I like it & get the pre washed, pre buffered stuff. I've seen it used in flood & drain but I think it might hold too much water so perlite or rockwool is probably better :)

The roots are very fragile so just be gentle with it & you'll be fine :thumb:

Root Riots do bags of 100 & they're pretty cheap :thumb:

It'll just be balls for the flood and drain...clay balls....

Name the movie:

Balls, balls, everyone is saying balls.

We're not selling balls, we're selling laundry detergent...

Can everyone please stop saying balls....

Newayz...the rapid rooters....hehehehe...look like the go :)

If it's gotta come from os...it's gunna cost...but you're right...if I buy like that...well it'll be better...jsut not this time.... or yet rather :)
