right on Doc so you suggest your landraces and sativa Dom VS. the kush's and other similar indica heavy strains right?

The less a strain has been crossed, the better it will grow in HB soil.....generally speaking.
There are exceptions, but as a general rule, landrace or simple crosses will be better adapted to soil and biology, whereas some of the modern era strains, like the OG's and others are adapted to high salt environments.
They still grow fine in HB, they just don't taste the same. My "old school" stuff comes out better in HB than the newer strains do in their optimal environment, so as much as you can, try to stay "primitive."
