Should I stretch my plant or let it be?

It totally pays to watch your leaves so def keep that up. I misdiagnosed similar spots around the same age as a Mag deficiency. I add CalMag and things got worse. Turned out my PH was way too high, PH fluctuations can cause a variety of leafing problems, early spotting on lower leaves for example.

We talked about soil and nutes, next is water, what kind of water are you using and what's the PH. If you're using tap water it usually runs high, not sure about that mix it could be off too. If you haven't already, grab a General Hydroponics PH up / down kit that has all needed for PH testing and control for under $20. There are digital pens but I'm suggesting good budget items. I went into this wanting to spend as little as possible. Ugh...

I've heard of people that misdiagnosed there plant for calcium and magnesium deficiency, so I'm with you on that. I use regular tap water, I was kinda doubtful about buying a digital ph tester cause its pretty expensive and I've read that tap water is not bad but not the best either so I'll look into that ph testing control you wrote about. I feel you on the budget problem lol

My guess is that it's probably a pH issue as well. If you want to stay cheap, you can get the pH kit like Six said, otherwise you'd need to get a pH pen. It's good you're catching these issues early too!

It has to be cause I haven't given it nutes just tap water and I transplanted the plant to a 6.5" nursery pot about a week ago because I saw the plant stopped growing a bit and thought it's roots had reached the bottom(either way I don't think it affected the plant and I feel like that pot is a good size for the upcoming growth). But yea, Ima look for a nearby store to find that general hydroponics ph tester.

Luke I took some pics today I'd like to share. You posted asking if your plant should be bigger. Funny I remember wondering the same thing. I topped my girls on June 18th, they looked a lot like yours does now. And today, well check this out..

Three weeks into flower and they're nearly out of control! I had to "super crop" three of them to curb the main cola growth. It opened up more buds sites, crazy how they respond! I'm also defoiling lower and inner growth; it helps plant focus on canopy and exposes inner buds sights to more light. Then there's my outdoor girl from same seed batch. I knew I'd run out of indoor space and decided to put my "lowrider" girl outdoors. She was very short with super tight node spacing, barely bigger than yours is now. She's growing like crazy and has just sexed, will likely enter flower in the next couple weeks.

So there you have it, it takes work, but it's worth it when you see them explode like this!! Take care of her, give her what she needs, follow the steps as best you can. :)

Wow theyre beautiful! Should I start defoiling soon? If you scroll up you can see I got alot of new growth in the lower parts of the plant.

God I hope this plant is a female for everything I'm doing for he/she lol if it's a male fuck it, I had an amazing first experience and I know I did pretty okay so If this plant ends up being a Male I'll just make tea out of the leaves and buy female seeds lol

Defoiling is a controversial technique, some advising against it some for it. I'd say just focus on letting her grow. a decision to do any kind of training should be based on your grow area.

I say get up to speed on PH, watering, and nutes. If you can't find Dyna Grow Grow/Bloom locally, maybe you can buy off Amazon along with PH up/down.

Four weeks old Auto lemon haze. Wish I would have trimmed it early :lot-o-toke:

Somethings wrong with my uploads, it automatically rotates the image. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Most likely I'll be buying it on Amazon all together because I doubt I can find Dyan gro grow/Bloom locally. And my grow space is pretty limited because since I didn't know they were going to survive this long I made the box for seedlings and pre-veg.

•My "grow box" measurements are, Height 2'10" Width 9"-10" Length 1'4"

lol Luke I was using photobucket till a mod started removing my pics. Don't be surprised if your post gets edited.

Yep you built good for germinating and some veg, but to carry her through involves more space, light, ventilation, etc. Unless you tried to do a micro grow. It's getting you feet wet same thing just very low yield some buds you can say you made. A micro grow would need to be switched to 12/12 light schedule right away.

Lol I was looking at micro grow a couple weeks back. How many grams do you think I can yield if I put it to flower now?

Yes I have android phone, I guess I need to find some other way. Thank You =)

The advice I've seen around is "take the picture with the volume buttons facing down on android and iphones." That should solve it!

As for the flowering, it doesn't look like you have a ton of space. You can keep the plant pretty low with training though, if that's something that you think you can handle the first time around. Yield is pretty much dependent on the strain and amount of light, assuming all other factors are perfect. So you'll have to watch the pH and health of the plant, but yield is still related to the amount of light you give it.

Here are some previous plants trained very flat (maybe 6" of plant height + the container height):

So it CAN be done, but you'll probably have enough issues to worry about your first go around, so it wouldn't hurt to keep it small!

True that, how much did you get off the 6"?

I figure they got about 25W of light each (I wasn't going for high yields) and I got about 10g dried (0.4 g/W) per plant. BUT I had all my other items (pH, nutes, medium, etc) dialed in fairly well and wasn't going for high yields. Seasoned growers can get 1g/W, but as a newbie, figure you can get 0.25 g/W or 0.5 g/W if you're lucky!

I'll fix it all up and aim just a bit higher :)

Thank you so much for the advise. I have space issues and my plants always stretch out. My only problem is I like feeding them without ever maintaining PH. This will be my third grow and I am expecting to get at least 150g from a single plant lol. I am using a 600W adjustable ballast, 3 gallon pots and fox farm nutes.

I am looking forward to train them next time and to grow 4 instead of 2. I have plans to use smaller pots because it seems like a major factor in growth.

I just need to find the right guide regarding how to keep plants low without yeild loss. 2.5' - 3' plant instead of 4' is just perfect.

Growing less than 100g from a single auto just doesn't makes sense to me, you put so much effort in it.

Thanks for the android tip, seems like it's gonna work =)

Regarding this post - Signs of over feeding will show up within two hours not after few days. What is over feeding? When you give them 3 potent synthetic heavy doses in a row. Still nothing to worry about it you can flush them right away. Fan leaves which have shown signs over nuting will eventually die, who cares there are plenty enough to deal with.

Plants are like babies you feed them right they'll grow healthy.

Perfect habitat and light is the key to a happy grow.
