Shorty's Coco White Widow & Cheese Fem, 2020

sorry 1 more question, how long do you typically keep the plants in Veg Stage, and Bloom Stage. What are good tell signs that it is time to throw it into 12/12 bloom cycle?

these girls are about 6 weeks old.

6 weeks should be fine but make sure you use your vertical space available. The plant in the second photo needs to go straight up now for awhile. I’d untie her and let her go vertical before you flip. I’ll try and find a pic of female pre flowers

Can you give me the reasoning behind wanting it to go vertical? everything ive read suggests that i should be pulling down? also i am trying to prepare it for a SCROG net which is being installed on saturday.

Thanks!

I want tall branches because that’s where the flowers grow from. Taller the branches the more flowers they produce. If I run a scrog the only thing I do is top them before I install the net. Here’s a pic of an auto I grew and only topped it then spread the branches apart but never pulled them down.

Hey @Pennywise and 420 group,

Looks like my girls are a little unhealthy, we are about to complete week 7.

Below is the White Widow

Here's the Cheese Fem

My hunch is telling me it is Calmag deficiency, but i am putting 3ml per gallon which is the recommended level.

The cheese fem has burnt and whiting tips.
the white widow has orange marks on its leaves.

Current Conditions
First level scrog net done
24 hour light schedule
lights 24.5 inches away from canopy
Fox farm trio 15ml per gallon
Calmag 3ml per gallon
PH going in 5.99
PH runoff 4.6

Preparing to switch into 12/12 by week 9
any and all suggestions appreciated !

It appears to be really dark green so plenty of nutrients. I would back of the grow formula a bit and up my calcium. They’re showing classic calcium deficiency.

Most likely it’s still a calmag issue, the bottom photo with yellow between the veins is classic magnesium deficiency. Make sure your ph is in a good range 5.8-6.2 for hydro and 6.0-6.5 for soil.
