A good friend of mine has a Dachsund with Ehlers Danlos, I was completely unaware that it also effected humans. Another great journal is under way, I am excited to be here with you Shig man.

I went ahead and made an HMK rosin press (credit to hashmasta-kut). It cost 20 for the clamp and 25 for the Remington hair straightener. Works well and the clamp gives great pressure. Minimum I can go is 310F though so I am losing valuable terpenes. Can't use it for extended periods as the clamp will get hot and start to soften. But I can press out a few dabs. My plan is to get a personal rosin press so I can drop temps to 240F or so.

Do you start with a cold straightener Shigg? I have the exact same set up. I'm getting 20% return. I get it all ready, clamp it down, and then turn on the HS on low. I listen for a sizzle and then I turn it off. I leave it clamped for a few more seconds after that and then I pop it and dab my ass off.

I let mine heat up to 300 then press for 7 seconds and eject. I pre-press by squishing with the bottom of a pint glass. I may try your method to see. My goal is to get an arbor press and set of plates/heaters. Just 2" x 2". Not doing this commercially. Just want dabs for Shiggy.


Hey all how about a great 4th of July forum wide smokathon? I enjoyed the one for 4/20. And next year we need one for 7/10! But we can all celebrate America's Independence Day, heck if you are British you can cell rate "we got rid of those brash idiots day!"
