Sense Amelia's First Pop At Indoor Soil Grow

Thanks for your kind words Korloin! Yes, its definately the best part, and I am enjoying seeing all those pistils. If my plants could speak they would have told me to leave them alone today, I looked at them so many times. LOL.

It's gonna be so interesting to see what we end up with, I have searched and searched, and as mentioned, there's hardly any info on this strain. But we like them, and despite them going to take about 10 weeks to flower like you said one of your types do, we may just grow this one out again in future.

Keep up the good work as you look to have bounced back from the minor deficiencies.

Yes. I have been suspecting this for a couple of days now... think I have 1 hermie out of the four plants. :nomo: Done a hell of alot of looking at google images and yes, I am 99% sure. Unfortunately none of the cameras I have access to have been able to get quite the right shot to show you all, real awkward angle... but as the days go by I am sure I can snag one. It's gotta be thrown on the compost heap if it defo is a shim. Got no use for it. Tell you what though, it looks a hell of alot like this pic I found on the net.

Pic I found off the net - not my plant.

If you have that then he needs to go... Unless you want to breed some seeds for future grows.

Yeah, you would get all female seeds if you let it pollinate the other females. Plus, you'd still be able to smoke the hell out of it.

But, I would set up a seperate place for it ... that was far away from my others. I'd let it live and pollinate itself. You'd still get your female seeds and not ruin all the others. You wouldn't have to provide it much ... just enough to survive and make a few seeds.

Too early to tell? I got a piccy this morning.

It has an end that tapers so I am not convinced yet. Male seed pods are more rounder aren't they? Or is this just a very young male flower? Arghhhhhhhhhh.... :Namaste:

Just a calyx... nothing out of the ordinary :thumb:

Some may know them as a false seed pod its just not pollenated... & by far not a hermie.

Hermies normally show them selfs by the banana like pistils they form on the bud sites !

Thanks for the speedy response, Fuzzy. I now feel most relieved. It wouldn't surprise me if one did turn as it's my first time and I may have done all sorts of stuff to trigger it. Reassuring though... most reassuring. :peace:

I'm pretty sure you will be fine Sense Amelia :peace:

The calyxs are bit like a sign of plant maturity on Mj girlies, i have friend who helps me trim the girls up & he oftens collects those little calyxs for smoking :thumb:

yeah what fuzzy said:)

Yup I agree definitely to early to tell. :thumb:

So it still *could* be a herm? :thedoubletake:

you need to settle down young lady and burn one LOL is this your panic of the week?
that looks like a preflower coming on if and when you see nads you will know:)
you are doing fine you really have to mess up most times to get a hermi:)

 Yes I think it is, Fish. I feel like I am on a botanical roller coaster. Up..down...wow. I AM a bag of nerves, such a silly, but it's how I roll, and I am a natural pessimist. :laughtwo:

I gently squeezed on that "thing" today and it was feeling flattish, so nothing nasty and soild inside I don't *think* It is very low down on the plant, on one of the bottom nodes. So it must have been there a long time and I did not notice it until this last week or so. It has NO hairs whatsoever coming out on it, and I have looked pretty carefully and I see none of this typed object anywhere else on the plant, OR the other 3 thank goodness. The plant I suspect as a herm has plenty of pistils on it elsewhere though so who knows.

Oh and my tallest plant is about the 3 foot mark. More panic....

*starts to burn one* :bongrip:

you dont need me to do the supercrop thingy again:)

LOL!!! No! :whoa: I bent her top gently today and I reckon I could wangle something in a none destructive manner. Measured her today, gonna measure her again in a few days and if she is still bloody growing I'll bend her about.

...you have to look close to find single male flowers. They are not in "banana" clusters just one that looks like a hairless calyx that droops downward instead of standing. Usually at the junctions of branches or just under the buds.
Really does sound like mine if you look. Not stressin, just spotted the comment whilst reading tonight. Also, you can't see it in my pic, but that thing is on a very tiny stem. (bad sign)

If it looks like this..... Then you worry...
