Seedlings 1st: Black Cherry Punch, Laniakea, Lemon Thai Kush

:nomo: Morning Gang.
Congrats on the BCP Harvest brotha Seed. It looks delicious. :drool:

Low and slow is the cats ass. Good thinking to get another fridge. I have a 30year old Admiral brand fridge that is frost free. It’s standard size old fridge and holds approx 1.5lb max. I could change the bags and boxes I have now for more space saving ideas and possibly fit a bit more. Easier fix is I just get another one of these oldies from Kijiji and set that one up in the garage or basement :slide:

Def LTK has more to go. Told ya HSO wouldn’t disappoint:ganjamon:

I don’t even hardly see any pistils that have dried up on her. All fresh and white. Bud isn’t that dense yet either. The big swell has yet to come. Should be some fire. HSO is quality. GE will bulk those up nicely before she is done.

Time to pop into town for a couple errands and then to the TV for football. Have a gday gang!

Yeah....I have a few other HSO plants waiting for a turn (Bubbas Gift, Green Crack, and Gorilka Breath). This Lemon Thai Kush is an absolute beast and a winner. She is a tree, and is gonna put out a huge yield. There are at least four colas the length of my forearm.....and they might fatten up to the size of my arm still. I can't comment on the effect, but she looks like she is gonna be a huge hitter. Thinking about the bud wash is stressing me out cause these colas are too long to fit in the bucket!

I am not too sure when I can get a decent size fridge to work with....but definitely looking forward to it. I am gonna be trying 3 different drying methods this run. As much as can go in the fridge will go low and slow......the Laniakea that can't fit in the fridge will be dried the same way (paper bag) in a cool dark place. Then the LTK will be split, but whatever doesn't fit in the fridge will hang in the GR, then straight into jars.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I got to try the Skellington pheno today....the sample I took has been in a paper bag outside the fridge for a few days. I took the smallest bit of larf and it chopped up easily and smoked no problem. Just smells like fresh cut grass. Both Laniakea have very little smell, but are super frosty.
Completely opposite of the BCP in effect...total daytime smoke, mostly cerebral and clear.....long lasting as well.
:passitleft:
...I pretty much use the paper bag method exclusively, just due to space and harvest style...you will lose some of that dank that you had, when put into the bags, but after some days in the jars, they rebound with bag appeal smell...bud washing...meh...guess my palate isn't that refined to notice any major difference...one less thing to do... ;) :rofl: ...cheerz...:high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...
Great to hear this Seedling. I was waiting for u to try the Lanny...she's a good tasty smoke, very potent. :high-five:
Yup....I had to go back and edit my post for the potency. My first impression was it wasn't that potent, but my hit must have been smaller that I realized. My second hit really hit hard. Still mostly all cerebral, and the effect was pretty huge. Very potent stuff!!!
Yeah, it doesn't seem like a bad option. I am gonna try and hang dry for as long as I can get away with, but due to space I got no choice. My samples are just paper bag in a cupboard and they seem alright.
Seedling, basically the main thing u gotta really watch for as u slow dry your top notch produce is ...WATCH FOR MOLD!
Thats your ONLY enemy at this point. Cheers bud...please be careful..... :ganjamon:
Watching like a hawk....I am at 5 days and they look...feel...and smell amazing. I am monitoring the weight loss by measuring weight. So far each 28g bag lost roughly 4g each and is now sitting at 24g.....so we are on our way. The bags are a bit damp feeling....so they probably lost a bit more weight. I am also switching up the paper bag if it feels a little too moist.
I am assuming that mold will be slowed down in that temperature range almost to a standstill......but assumption is the mother of all f#@k ups isn't it?
Trying to be careful.....I am tempted to take half out and finish outside the fridge......just in case.
The smell is changing to cherry cough drops.....
I bet when you are all done with the Low and Slow and then curing you are going to Love your harvest. I hope it turns out top notch for you. I am looking forward to your smoke report. I bet that DBHBB bud will be some of the best you have ever tried if not the best. You will soon be rolling in weed and dam fine weed at that.
:high-five:
Looking good Seedling. As for the bud wash and fitting colas into buckets. Just cut them to size. I use a 5gal Bucket. Breaking branches down to that size.
Like Magoo has stated. Swish and swirl and dunk but don’t graze the buds on the bucket wall or bottom.
I’ve only ever tried poor traditional hang drying for 5-7 days that went over dry a little. Likely to around 58%. No bud wash and that was not kit produce. It was junk let me tell you. Eventually turned it into BH.
Now it’s a simple process for me. grow. Harvest. Wash. Low and slow. Yeah if ur harvest is 2lbs it would be tight to fit into a standard old fridge. But it is doable. I also went away to vacation for a week and didn’t see the harvest for 8days. Turned out perfect. was nice to know I could go away and the harvest was fine in the fridge.
Those BCP buds look tantalizing seed! Either way you go I bet your harvest will be v good. If u are outside the fridge. Just aim for cool temps 65-70f and 55-60RH.
Enjoy the harvest and keep the smoke reports coming yes :headbanger:
Yup.....I am gonna try and do as much in the fridge as possible. The Laniakea are gonna come down close together....so some will have to hang. By the time the LTK is down I can fill it up....but she is gonna be a challenge to get all in there.
Sounds like a plan! I’ll be searching for some old Reefer’s if I find anything interesting I’ll post it up on the Mag. Always looking to expand the Low and Slow operation as my 5x5 harvest is going to have the same issues.
Have a great Day Brotha Seedling & Gang!
