Honestly i can remove them by hand i use a bread tie wire to hold the shell and i slowly remove it and the embryonic sac so it can open immediately.

Saying i'm gentile when i do it is an understatement i do not pull on the seedling at all i draw the shell open side to side no up ward motion.

Just removed one half of shell while still in soil.Finally she is emerging.

Both seeds have germinated one is 25 hours a head of the other lets see who gets bigger faster i bet it's the first seed to pop because not only does she have a head start but experience tells me she has more vigor and is most likely to succeed.

Agreed on your comment regarding the first to pop having more vigor. That is exactly what I am seeing with one of my white widows. Consistent across the board actually

I love these kinda races! 44 hours from emerging and again still doing great no stretch and just veg growth outwards. The other seed moving much slower but still going to make some good flower.
